It is not a demi permanent colour, ruined my hairI’m so extremely disappointed. Ignoring such a late wait time ( website states AU at the end and shipping time was nothing like on the website) Texture of the dye it weird, kind of like oil not cream, made my hair so freaking dry and horrible to touch. I wasn’t able to brush them for over a week which made then snap Also I ordered a demi permanent colour which came with 10% developer (I found it high but im not a hairdresser) and trusted you guys. Its a permanent hair dye!!!! That I was avoiding for years. You ruined 7years of me growing my hair back. Now I have horrible line and regrowth which I have never got before from demo permanent. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Destroyed my hair. Unordered hair color.I was charged and sent another box of color that I did not order or want. I have requested 4 times to return and get my money back. To date I still have not heard back from them. Not goodI followed instructions to a "t." I'm not a newb here, I'm 47 and basically full gray coming in. I was so disappointed when I got out of the shower and my roots were light pink at best. Either the timing was off or the formula is off or something because it didn't take. I saturated them too. Caused huge allergic reactionI have been using eSalon's hair dyes since lockdown and was originally very happy. The last couple of shipments of my custom colour have caused me to have an allergic reaction. Initially like contact dermatitis - itching, flaking and sore around my scalp and ears. This time, my forehead is completely swollen and I am in a lot of pain. The good and bad ( not so good this time)Ok the good and bad: 💓💔I like the concept behind esalon. Their other products are wonderful. Like the tint rinse and shampoo and conditioner combos. Love the colorist team and how fast they answer any questions or concerns. The bad, the color doesn't seem to take with my grays. I'm 44 years old so I have some gray hair on the side. Hair feels and looks nice for a couple weeks but the color does not hold. It maybe just this color I'm trying as I've had good luck with others. So I'm not ready to toss in the towel yet. I REALLY wanted to like it...I really wanted to like this product. I raved about it on my social media before I even tried it. The kit is awesome, shipping was so fast. I literally received it the same week I ordered. I followed all directions to the T and I provided pictures and history as to how black hair dyes always seem to fade quickly to brown or have a red undertone. I selected blue black permanent and my hair came out light red brown at the top and slightly more black on the ends. I'm really confused because even the cheapest blue blacks have never done this. I thought I could message my colorist because that's what they claim. But I have yet to receive any response and I find it odd that I'm expected to rock this half red brown half black hair till my next color shipment where they'll revise the color. Demi is not DemiThe color sent to me was actually permanent. I specifically chose demi to use on virgin hair so that it wasn't permanent. I only purchased a few times and after using this for the last time about 7 months ago, I STILL have the stubborn color in my hair. When I finally scheduled an appointment with a colorist in a salon she told me that there was no way the color I used was demi permanent. Why change great?!I love my hair color from e-salon and have used it for a number of years. I also loved the shampoo and rinse that was included. On my recent order, there was a different shampoo and rinse that smelled like medicine. Definitely not an improvement! Color is not what I wantedThis is my second time coloring with eSalon. First off, my grays do not take this color very well - I have to process for over an hour which might be why My hair feels really dry and damaged…. Also it’s auburn with red tones and I included in my review from last time that I wanted to remove the brassiness and neutralize red! Good pigment but leaves hair very dry.Not super happy with it. My hair is more than 60% grey, it did cover quite a bit of the greys but it left my hair very dry and the colour is very brassy, where it should have been ash. NEVER AGAINI was not very happy with my results, the color did not cover my gray hair at all. I think it needed more than the 30 minutes it said to process. Other than that the rest of my hair looks and feels great. I will give your product one more chance before I move on. January 19, 2023, So I gave it another shot and I am even more disappointed than before, it's like I didn't even put dye on my hair!!! The directions only increased the processing time by 10 minutes, from 30 to 40, well I left it on for an hour and it did not make my hair look any different, still had all my gray!! The product just does not cover the grays.I'm very disappointed with the product since the whole purpose with coloring my hair was to cover the grays and your product does not do that! The color holds on that portion of my hair that is not gray and I actually like the color that is produced but if the product will not color my gray hair there is no point in using it. Far too bright and not for my skin toneThis was my first- and last - experience of using what is supposed to be a custom colour. I filled in the survey and provided pictures and the colour they decided would be great for me is anything but. I am currently a very bright red with pink tones and it looks terrible. I'm glad a bought a demi permanent colour and not permanent but I still suspect it is going to take weeks to wash out and I'm fearful the fade will leave me with pink hair. I've just gone on to Amazon and spent more money in products that will hopefully help. Never again. Sensitive hairI tried this once. Didn't care for it. The lady was really nice in Customer Service she gave me some advice. I went with it and tried 1 more time. Why I got a color plus 1. I dont know. My hair is only shoulder length and I only do my roots. Well I opened 1 package tried it as advised. Nope. It actually dries out my hair. My hair is short in areas so I can't help but it gets on the ends. Which causes more dry out. I returned to sender within the 30 days. Wrong colorThe color that I ordered was dark brown (ASH). There is no reason it should have been orange. The rest of my hair is dark enough that it’s not too terrible but my roots are orange. Hair colorRecently received my color. Love the color but it stained my scalp terribly even after 5 shampoos I can't get it off and never touched the grey, no color at all on them. Believe me I followed the directions very, very carefully. Will not be reordering color again. Wasn’t pleasedThis color they adjusted was more brown then red. The front where my grays are didn’t take well and the color seems to fade especially where I have gray in about a week. Great lasting extreme damageLove the color and its lasted a longer time than any I've ever used. The problem- it dried my hair so badly it is breaking and splitting terrible and frizzy. Better experience the first timeI first tried esalon when covid first started and salons were closed. I really loved the color that was created for me. It covered my grays well. When salons reopened I stopped ordering my color but recently decided to order esalon again as I loved the original color I received. This time since time had passed from my initial esalon order I had to go through the process of answering questions and submitting a picture of my hair again. I had hoped I would be able to get my original color but understood why I had to go through their process again. Unfortunately this time around the color wasn’t what I had hoped and didn’t cover the redness from the color I had from the salon. I provided a rating of 3 as it did cover my grays but I was hoping to achieve my natural hair color which is a medium to dark ash brown. DisappointedI have really tried to like esalon. I have asked a few times for less red, orange highlights and it has never been quite right.
