Easy to work with - phenomenal resultsI am not a hair person! I just don't know how to do all that stuff but I'm telling you this was almost as easy as washing your hair, the results though were well beyond what I had ever expected, my Daughter who does know what she's doing had dyed my hair red I didn't want to do the upkeep of it so wanted to go back brown, well I've done this before at the salon and it's never easy because they can't take you from red back to brown in one process. Well shame on them because eSalon took me there no problem! I have a lot of grey now that I did not have then as well. I recommend this very much. This is an unreliable product and unsatisfactory serviceI have a 6 months customer history with eSalon, time in which I was in awe of them (at start) only to be let down by both quality of product (had dye sets not covering grays) and service (unanswered outreach, delays in order processing and delivery). I have just cancelled my order and subsctiption because of delays in both order processing and shipping. I am so disappointed! Doesn’t cover grayThis is my second order in the last 30 days of these products the first order i left them on for 45 mins and it didn’t cover my gray so i ordered my next batch early and applied again but this time left it on my hair for an hour and it still didn’t cover my gray. It’s definitely better than before I dyed it but you can see the orange-ish color instead of dark brown on the gray. Did not do muchApplied hair colour like in the videos and left it for a while, after washing the hair it did not cover the grey hairs and there wasn’t much of a difference on the rest of the hair, also it came with little amount of colour, for thick long hair it wasn’t enough. Customised colorAt first I was happy with the product and it seems to last longer than over the counter hair dye. Damaged my hairWhen my first box arrived it was missing items and, most importantly, instructions. I followed a friend’s esalon instructions, which didn’t mention that you shouldn’t overlap with previously colored hair. I had a chunk of hair professionally bleached over a year ago, Feb 2024, and my hair was still very healthy, no breaking. However, since using the box and applying to the bleached section of hair, it’s become dry and brittle. I didn’t know there were instructions online as they are near impossible to find. confused with optionsGreetings I was befuddled to receive 2 different colors in the box (remember I am a layman not a salon worker) The first was for the roots which matched my natural color-which i havn't been since I was in high school, Im 51; then, there was a more coppery tone to wash thru the length of hair. In the esalon defense a color chart was supplied to recognize the difference but why would I use two different colors? Anyway I used the 1st color, my more natural root color and brought that thru my hair which is a lovely tone however not the color I was hoping for. Color didn't lastI really loved the initial color- but now that it has been a couple weeks the color has completely faded and my hair is left lighter and brassier than before. Didn’t change colour as requested at allFollowed instructions to the letter, my hair looked the same as before although it did cover my roots/greys, my old highlights were literally still there - gave up and caved in to a shop bought box dye, very disappointed as this was the second time after being unhappy with first colour outcome. Did not cover grayI have grays around my forehead and my biggest issue is covering them. Well this didn’t work either. And my hair has a very red tint to it when the color was brunette. AwfulI finally got round to using this, I need someone to help me so had to wait until someone was available. It has only covered some of the greys, the ones at my parting are still very much grey. It has not changed the colour on my lengths at all. I ordered a chocolate brown, but my hair has the same reddish brown it had before. My hair feels like straw. Made my hair so dryColour was to light, tried to go back and change my options but it wouldn’t let me. Biggest issue was how dry it made my hair, never had anything like it. Felt like straw while washing out, didn’t like that I could only have the option of purchasing when I wanted, instead was only given the option of continuous purchasing. DOES NOT COVER GRAYSI would NOT RECOMMEND if you have any gray hair at all, I specifically told them I have hard to cover grays when ordering. I colored for the first time yesterday and I’ve gotten better results from a drug store box coloring kit. Sent an email and all they said was sorry we will adjust for next order. Color was great againThe first time there were two bottles of color one for the roots one for the ends. My hair is thick and medium length i had plenty. The second month was only one bottle of color. I have a pretty decent chunk that didn’t get colored properly because i didn’t have enough so that was kind of disappointing. Hair like strawI requested an ash blond color for my thick, shoulder length hair. Unfortunately, the end result was dry, dull hair with way too much gold. The shampoo provided dried my hair terribly and the tiny amount of conditioner that was in the kit didn't even cover one eight of my hair. My hair feels and looks like dried out straw. Instead of providing silly extras like stain-remover and extra gloves, why doesn't esalon simply provide a sufficient amount of conditioner like L'Oreal does? This is not a light brownSomewhere in between chestnut and a darker brown. Definitely not light. My hair was blonde before this dye. It is now incredibly dark with red-orange tones thanks to esalon’s “recommendations.” This has ruined any chance I had of getting a light brown. Super disappointed. Didn’t send what I ordered!I’m a redhead or at least I was until I went gray. I ordered a color that I thought would give me back my red hair. eSalon decided, sight unseen, that I needed a color that was different from the one I ordered. I used that color today and I hate it! It really didn’t cover the gray. It’s not really red and my roots are pink. Did I say I hate it bc I really really hate it! Now I don’t know what to do. Great idea for personalised colour.It is a lovely idea as you can get hair colour adjusted for you and delivered to your door. Nice and easy way to use. However the colour is not holding on my hair for long and it washes away. Also shampoo added contains SLS. Find a boxdye colourI paid for a custom shade that, once done and dyed, was much darker than what I'd selected, looked like a popular brand I could've bought for less than half the cost but didn't because I wanted a lighter, coppery gold shade, not a dark tangerine ginger, But even on trying to own it and be happy with the wrong shade for a while, it started fading on the second wash and looked terrible anyway. Run if you are Blond! My hair is orange again!So I was really hoping last time was a fluke but now I received my second order and I followed the instructions to a t and I am really orange this time. No one responded to my emails so I am trying some other company products to see if I can somehow tone down the orange though my hair will never be the blond I asked for. (I am naturally blond with some grays) I am never doing this again and its back to the professional who actually knows how to mix color. Did not like colourI wanted auburn ginger hair, but i ended up with quite a vibrant red. Also, I have very long hair, and there was not enough dye to cover my whole head so I had a large portion of hair undyed. My fear is I will need to keep purchasing and adjusting my colour to get to the actual colour I want, which can be very time consuming and costly in the long run. I wonder if going to an actual salon may actually be the best option when colouring or changing the colour of your hair. Not what I asked for so much darkerThe color is so dark!!!! It’s almost black. My hair was a golden medium brown. My natural hair growing in was lighter than current color.
