I've been getting color from them for a couple years now. They are responsive to modifications I want them to make. On one occasion my package arrived damaged by the post office - they immediately replaced it free of charge. When I've been away they've suspended delivery and resumed in a smooth transition. I can't recommend them enough
If the instructions call to use plastic clips, I would imagine they would be included in the kit. Honestly I didn't really see the need if they were included. Overall....I absolutely love the color I received. Heard about this web site from visiting family in the Salon business. I was told it will not dry out your hair, color match is dead on and it is putting the hurt on store Salons because it is more affordable than going to a Salon. I would like to know if signed up for the auto delivery if an email reminder would be sent prior to my card automatically getting charged. This would give me the chance to review my need. Not fond of that auto shipping because of that fact.
The only problem I had with the hair color is that it needs more Violet much more violet other than that it was a great color and it was shiny and I loved it
This was my first order from eSalon. I ordered the red/brown hair color. The color was not as red as I initially thought it would turn out but definitely not unhappy with the end result. I will be back to purchase again.
I was using E salon hair color, then switched to over the counter. It was a mistake! I am back to stay now, because the color is more natural and last longer too!
Not really sure where I stand with this, but the product is awesome, the delivery is quick, and the price is well worth it. My issue is just not being able to find what color feels right to me, and you have gone out of your way to tweak the color 3 times so far to try and make me happy.
It was a little lighter than I expected but I ended up liking it. No one noticed the change as in different light the front still looks more white than blonde. It is actually the color of my hair growing up except for the front which is lighter.
I like the color my hair was when all was said and done. The process was easy. The shampoo and conditioner smells great. Would be nice if there was more to it for those with longer hair. It would be great if they could make a two tone color. Like my black with red highlights. In regards to grey coverage, this color didn't cover any longer then store bought, so not sure it warrants the price.
I liked the color, but it is not staying for 10 weeks, and I want to change it to add a little more red. The color looked pretty good, but, like I said, it isn't staying as long as I would like.
My colorists adjusted my color just as I asked. This time the color was not as dark which is exactly what I wanted. However, I did find that the grays were left a bit brassy.
There is nothing that I can complain about using eSalon. Their product is wonderful, I would like a little bit more violet, but other than that no problems
It worked out great not as violet as I would have liked but a little bit on the dark side. Bo I will continue with this one until my hair grows out. I'd you can make some changes to it to lighten it up for me that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I love the color! But with very short hair the amount provided was at least twice as much as I needed. Wish I could choose how much I purchase at one time. Also because of short hair I found it hard to pin my hair in small sections to make sure I got all the grays covered. Hoping you can make some changes for those of us with short hair. Thanks so much!
I quit coloring about four years ago. I am currently natural (gray). I was looking through old photos today and came across a photo of me with my eSalon Mahogany colored hair.....Time to go back!!
I loved the whole experience the color is great just not on my grey. Otherwise perfect match thank you so much. Does not last very long maybe 4 weeks please cancel my shipments
I have tried several box colors and they did not match. The salon is too expensive for color so I was excited at finding ESalon. I asked my stylist about what color she uses so I could match that to my custom color from ESalon. The match has been perfect. I have not had to change a thing.
I love how the website is so precise in the questions so they find the perfect individual match.
I've spent hundreds of dollars, month after month on my hair and never been as pleased with results as I am with eSalon's product. Add to that the time I save by being able to color my hair when its convenient, & I doubt I will return to salon color services any time soon.
I had a lady stop me to ask if I do my own coloring. I told her I do. She said she had tried your color once, but quit because of the shipping charges (I agree they are high and add much to the already higher color cost.) However she was so impressed with the result of my color she said she was rethinking trying you again. It caused me to reassess the use of your product.
amazing colour, regular automated delivery. The hair end gloss gives an overall sheen to the hair and keeps it in tip top condition. However in my hair colour does fade out fast about 3 weeks need to work on that

Unfortunately I have had an allergic reaction to the product. The first use reaction was mild but the second one required a trip to the dermatologist. I am sad to sad I must discontinue using the hair color.
The color is great! I just wish my grays would not grow so fast, 2 wks in they come again. The color holds and does not fade. I think it is much better and cheaper than the salon.
I was very happy with my custom color, although it was not exactly the shade I thought it was going to be, but when I let the colorist know she immediately made changes to my next color kit for me.
Love my color;but, the cream you apply to keep from skin getting color on your forehead gave me a significant burned are. I don't know what is in it but, it was very painful and has been very sore since I used my color. What is in this that could cause this. I had to cover it up with concealer so I could hide it for a wedding I was attending. First unhappy part of this colouring experience. What should I do)?
I liked the color I ended up with on about 3/4 of my head, but my roots did not turn dark enough, and strangely, about 1/4 to 1/2 of my hair within one section turned out about a shade lighter than the rest. I explained to the colorist that I have been coloring my own hair since I was 14 (I am now 52) so it is not a case of my taking too long to apply it to the other side; I am fast and thorough. So.....where it stands now is that after a few calls and emails, they are sending out a bottle of darker color just for my roots. Hopefully that will fix the roots, which is the main issue with the color. Guess that other lighter part of my hair will just be lighter than the rest, and maybe other people won't notice. But my roommate did. The bottom line is that if my whole head turned out the shade that the majority of it did, it would look pretty good, and I think that the color seems to be staying put better than my other brand. I can also tell that it did not do as much damage to my hair as did the type of color I have been using for awhile. I love the policy that if there is a problem , the company will issue a refund or replace a product, but I have to say that when I replied to an email from a specific employee, she never bothered to reply and I had to email and call to get help from a different employee. I think that once you have the right color, and no need to contact them, all should go well, and I think the quality of the color formula is good. If I have no more problems, I will continue to order based on the quality of the hair color. If I am able, I will give an additional review once I have dyed my roots again.

The color exceeded my expectations. My only complaint is that not all my greys were covered around my crown but that is an issue for me when I am at the salon as well.
I love it, delivered right to my home and super easy to use! Just wish I could get a smaller quantity--I only used about 1/2 of the bottle and wasted the rest 😩
I have received a couple of shipments of my color.... I found it easy to apply.... very similar to the store bought box. The color is just a bit darker blonde than I like, but still like it. I like that it stays in much longer than the kind you buy in the local stores....even after several shampoos. I have put my order on hold for now because I am trying a "new" color that I am not sure I am going to stick with, but if I go back to my blonde, I will probably request a bit lighter shade.... and if I stay with this new color, I will probably try ESalon on this too. It is a bit more pricey than the store bought brands but it last much longer. I would definitely recommend folks to try it.
Love the convenience. Such a nice color that is mixed for me. Only drawback is my grey by my sideburn area doesn't seem to last covered long enough. The rest of the hair keeps a beautiful color for weeks after my grey pops out.
Copper color hard to change to golden honey color?

I really do love your product. But I think the problem is my descriptive words. The time before this one I ask for a copper color not realizing how red it would be. This time I asked for more of a golden tone to my brown, but it is still very red. Maybe my hair wants too much to stay in the red copper family instead of the golden honey brown I was after. Any thoughts?
I thought yeah ok, this is just some regular old hair dye that they supposedly customize to fit. Cute - take a pic, answer questions, WAAALA. Admittedly, I let 2 shipments sit before I tried it. I was game cause I got tired of trying to match colors & developers on my own. The name brand boxed colors, ended up NOT delivering the color I wanted on top of NOT covering grays. Plus, I no longer live close by my hairstylist---I'm shell shocked from bad experiences w/others, so it's hard to keep my color up --- until now.
WOW!!! I'm mad @ myself for waiting to use my custom color! After a long awaited visit to my stylist - weeks later the grays were back & it was personal this time lol. What the heck, try the eSalon and hope it covers and doesn't over or under process my hair. I have unrelaxed black natural hair and that normally adds to the dying woes. I'm happy to say NOT this time. eSalon did the darn thing! Color is what I want AND my grays are covered AFTER 2 to 3 washes (lol that was my test).
Hope others have similar experiences if you follow the directions and if your hair is in a healthy state (which makes a difference). Yeah think I'm a customer for life---let me review my autoship schedule :). Best to all & THANKS eSalon!!!
Hi, I really like the quality of the hair coloring. This is second time I have used this shade. As I found in the first coloring it is a very nice color however too red for me. Many dyes make the reddish tones in my natural shade more pronounced. When I was younger my preferred shade was a honey blond. Now that I am older that shade does not compliment my complexion and washes me out. Can you make a formula that would dye my hair more light brown than reddish (copper)???

I absolutely love the adjusted color, it's exactly what I was aiming for. However, I've found that even when using my Aveda color care/color stay shampoo and conditioner and limiting my washes to once every 3 days, my grays show back up within two weeks or less. It's like the color just falls right off of them.
Any advice you can give or adjustments you can make would be great!
I like the color, but am a little disappointed in the gray coverage. I am pleased that my request to lighten up the color did work well. I am hoping to go one shade lighter and then evaluate for a final decision.
This formulation works so well on my stubborn greys. I wish I could get my hairstylist to use it on me. Her hair color just doesn't give me the coverage for the amount of time that I feel like I should have considering the cost of a single process color and blowout these days. I can spend $65-$85 on a professional or the $25 at esalon. I'll choose the latter.
My color covers grey beautifully and the color last long. My only negative, is that even after rinsing several times, my color lacks shine. Other than that, it's definitely worth buying my hair color through esalon! It gives a professional hair color look.
When I received my first order, I cracked up a little bit. I don't know, maybe I'm your first male customer. Obviously, the hair clips were not needed since my hair is only about 2 inches long. And the gloves were worthless for a man. A buddy of mine is a doctor & he gave me a few pair of large disposable surgical gloves so I'm all set. Going forward, all I need is the hair color and activator. You may wish to advertise for men also because it works great. You'd just have change a few things in the accessory kit.
Darker than expected without the tones expected - heavy on the dark brown / mahogany, copper almost non-existent. However, it is a nice color, covered greys well and application was easy. I will see how well it wears. Was very drying on hair vs. other formulations, even using the products provided. However, I used my usual cleansing conditioner which helped.
I do like the color, but it's just been 5 wks and already I have gray at the temples and my roots.
Is there an adjustmenton the color possible or another suggestion?

This is my first time ordering. I had ligjt blonde hair and chose the beautiful picture of dark blonde copper. Needless to say my roots did not change much or they darkened, and my ends turned pink! Then I used tinted love in copper. Ot helped but now my hair in mixes of blonde, strawberry blondeish, and orange ends. The package is cute..tinted love was amazing, but the color was off. I will retry it and re-review
I liked my last shipment however I found it was a little too dark.

The last shipment was what I had ordered, however, after applying it to my hair I found that it was a little darker than I expected. On my next order I would like to receive the colour that I received prior to my last one. Thank you.
I am happy with my new hair color but not happy with the results I got following the instructions. I colored my roots first and let it set for 20 minutes. Then I combed the color through the rest of my hair and waited 5 minutes before shampooing with the remaining color, then washed and conditioned. The color did not really take on the top of my hair. There is a definite color change line at my part. My hair is thick and perhaps it did not get distributed well enough and I believe that 5 minutes was not enough processing time.
This was more expensive than what you buy in the store, but much cheaper than going to a salon, but the color is just as good as what you get in a salon.
