Didn't cover roots wellHave used same color before with better results - didn't cover my roots very well. Even tried again after shampooing with leftover color and just didn't take. Will be rethinking buying this again.....was using to freshen roots between salon colors and it would get me a few weeks, but not this time, so ended up going back to salon the following week. Gray coverage is badThe color smelled worse than what I was using before and my hair did not feel good after coloring like it does with the professional color I was using, but I still kept an open mind. The color turned out quite pretty, but I was unimpressed with the gray coverage right after coloring. But about a week after I colored my hair, all the gray seemed to show back up. And yes, I followed the instructions to the letter and I am not a hair color novice by any means. After 10 days hairs near root looks much lighterafter 10 days color faded near roots and in sun light it looks two different color-near root its light brown and tip darkest brown. Awful have ended up with two toned hair even though followed instructionsI followed exactly the instructions and I now have darker roots and patches of lighter colour in some areas. The roots/ends separate bottles, used one half of each with one bottle of developer as per printed instructions. There is also only one shampoo/Conditioner and my hair is quite dry and stringy, so as a result have to keep my hair tied up until I can get it fixed, which will cost a fortune! 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. What happened?! See new After photos attached 8-25-2021I had written detailed notes about Color Goals (Medium Blonde (Cool Beige)), my skin tone, hair texture and tendency to come up red and included multiple photos. I was expecting a mix that was predominantly ash with far less gold. The resulting color on the 5-6 inches of virgin hair from the crown down came up very red and the overall color clearly appears distinctly Auburn. It completely clashes with my fair neutral/slightly cool skin tone so I'm very disappointed. A Bit DisappointedMy hair was colored to exact specifications given by eSalon, but the gray was not covered completely and just days after the treatment, silvery threads emerged. These were mostly at my temple and front hairline; the other roots took the coverage well. The overall color was also too dark. It has lightened up a bit, but it still does not have the subtle gradiations I was hoping for. My hair feels good, though, and I love the shampoo/conditioner accompanying the purchase. Meh, lots of room for improvement!I'm honestly not impressed or happy with my order. It's just ok honestly. It's like box dye that you'd get from Walmart, but in fancier packaging with your name on it and a "customized color". I suppose they came pretty close to the color I requested BUT I don't like how coppery the color is. I've never been able to find a dye that matches my natural strawberry blonde hair, so I gave this a chance and got the same fake, copper looking result as any other reddish box dye hair color. I wasn't seeking a different hair color. I only wanted to dye my grays, but now my entire head (moreso my roots) have that bright copper/orange color that is noticeably fake and unnatural looking. If you're a ginger like me, then you know what I'm referring to. For whatever reason our hair color is hard to replicate. Red hair dyes never turn out looking natural afterwards whether you're a natural redhead or not. This dye is no exception unfortunately. I guess my expectations were a little higher because Brad Mondo recommended it in one of his videos, but I'm sad to report he let me down on this one. I will say that the color is consistent as far as the shade goes. It is the same color all over (roots, mids and ends) BUT there are 2 patches/streaks of hair that didn't take the color on the top, back, center section of my head and I'm not sure why. I'm 99% positive it wasn't my fault because I was very meticulous and had help with it. My hair was completely saturated with dye all over. I know for a fact that no spots were missed and I didn't have any other products in my hair either. I washed it 2 days prior to coloring it because it's never a good idea to dye freshly washed hair, but also not good to dye dirty hair either. There was nothing in my hair. No leave-in products, no detangler. I just shampooed/conditioned it and let it air dry, then dyed it 2 days later. Not for meIt's only been 2 weeks since I initially colored, I thought I was going to get better gray coverage or at least better, long lasting coverage. Not at all. The color wasn't rich enough. The black isn't as black as box shelf coloring. 2 weeks later I was and now my roots have turned a golden brown color NO WHERE near my original color. I'm not impressed. Terrible ExperienceOn learning that my next color shipment is being prepared I thought I should first try to apply the coloring kit received a few weeks ago. My experience was an absolute disaster and I wasn't able to follow the step by step instruction. After applying approximately half of the bottle for roots and touch up, I noticed that the remainder mixture in the bottle applicator was foaming and oozing out of the bottle uncontrollably. Realizing that the liquid might stain the counter top, I thought my best option was to complete the process in the shower without further delay and basically forced water into the applicator and massaged my hair without waiting the 30 minutes as suggested. I, of course, can't comment if the color selected was a good fit for me but this "do it yourself" coloring is far too messy and no amount of savings would be worth it. If you have white roots, this may not work for you.Hello, I received my color kit a month ago and decided to use it yesterday. I put on the cape and followed the instructions. I expected to see at least partial improvement in my inch long white roots at the scalp. I applied the color and waited the full time and then some. I am very disappointed that a company so highly touted as the next best thing to having a professional hair coloring session sadly, for me, was not. Liked, butHi I liked the hair colouring product I think it's the best coverage I've had but, I am disappointed in the size of the conditioner enclosed with the hair colouring product. Compared to less expensive brands it is very little and if it's something you are trying to sell as an add on, one treatment is not enough to determine if someone should buy it. AwfulThis is seriously the worst dye I have ever used. First off it smells awful. The fumes are horrendous! It made my eyes water and was hard to breathe. Had to open the window. The bottle caused small drops of dye to splatter everywhere. It even splattered in my tub that was 4 feet away from where I was standing in front of the mirror. And it didn't even color my hair! NO ONE LISTENSI asked for more red sent pictures. I keep getting more brown hair more brown brown brown hair and I normally don’t color my hair for four months what’s the use what did they do they sent me my one on the fourth month and then the next month all they sent me was one bottle not like before one bottle of haircolor already it looks like it’s premade nothing else in there just a bottle that you use to color your hair filled up. I said you know what I need and want and nobody’s responded and then I get one in the next month that’s just a bottle of color Ernie in the white bottle when I didn’t ask for it and it clearly states every four months and I want more red in my hair and then I get well if you want to send it back do this there’s a nurse I didn’t ask for it plus there’s no color chart it’s one bottle of color already premixed and a small box California and every time I do get what I ordered and expect is more brown in my hair no. This is getting ridiculous I didn’t get anything like I normally do one bottle of color already mixed up and sent no color chart no gloves no hat no nothing and they tell me that if I want to send it back to do all this part when I didn’t request it when it clearly states like every 3 to 4 months send one and they don’t do as I ask more red 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. One star because there was no zeroI was not happy with the color. Soooooo much darker than the online pictures showed. I wound up using an oops product to strip out. Then they sent me 2 more automatically using my pay pal card. Still have not gotten this settled even though I never said I wanted more. Still do not. The color was terrible. Well Organized and Easy to Use, Sufficient product amountThe color set I received was more than sufficient for my 18 inch length hair. My color however, was a little too dark from my natural color. The quality seemed very good however, after about 1 month of washing my greys are starting to show. I usually get a fully 6-8 weeks with my salon color given I wash maximum 2x per week. Black and dullMorning I did my hair colour on Friday, as per the instructions, however it came out very dark closer to black than brown and it looks dull and dry. First time customerThis was my first time using esalon. Impressed with the quick dispatch and the presentation box. I appreciated the extra bottle of colour, however I’ve not used it and would have preferred to have the option to choose when to have that extra once I’ve worked out the correct colour for me. As it is i now have a bottle of colour and developer I won’t use as I don’t really like the colour. In terms of the colour choice I was really impressed, unfortunately the dark blonde option which was recommended is a bit too dark for my liking and is darker than my natural colour which I was trying to match). Having said that my hair is super soft and I’ve been impressed with the grey coverage. Not the color I wantedThe coloring process seems overcomplicated, but I like that you are provided everything you need to use the product. While red hair is admittedly hard to match, the color I received is much, much darker than I expected or wanted. I included a photo of my natural hair color- which is on the orange/blonde side, and the color I ended up with is more of mahogany/brunette. Supposed to be dark brown, left with black hair! update: after 3 weeks brownUpdate: After three weeks the colour is at it is supposed to be. It is not fading down, so I suppose it is a good dye. The company did offer me return of money and also send me a treating mask. I will not risk again, but overall the product is not as bad as I thought at first time. I bought the dark brown kit. I did everything as I was supposed to do. Unfortunately, my hair isn't brown at all. They are almost black on the tip, with a reddish undertone, and at the end, they are jet black! I did consult with the salon colourist, she suggested that I need to wait few weeks, the colour will wash, also can buy colour removal or go-to salon. I must go to the salon as I cannot walk with two colour hair! I feel really bad. She also said that the next order will be free. No next order for me. Don't want to get another yet black hair! Overall, I must say that the box looked really great, but it doesn't change anything. Now I will have to spend £200 on colour removal and new colouring in the salon . Not professionalI ordered a medium brown my first try. I sent in pictures and explained what I wanted. Needless to say I turned out orange/gold light brown. So I was sent a 2nd box of course free of dark brown to “ cover this mess”. I’m still gold/orange and not dark brown. I normally bye my color from Sally’s and have for years with NO issues. Orange hair isn't my color!Tried the first color, Dark brown with gold highlights, the touch up spray turned my roots orange! Decided to request a darker color change for the next order. I'm legally blind, couldn't find the color chart so I called Customer Support for help with that but after holding for forty minutes, none were available. I changed my next order for a Darker brown, not with gold, just Darker. My next box arrives with the same order but with a darker color, this is not what I wanted! I called Customer Support, the colorist was argumentative with me, saying I didn't request an actual change, but the Colorist via email did not request further information from me to clarify the problem. Just okayMy grey is only covered for about 4 to 5 weeks. I find my hair is very static for a couple of days following the colouring. I have got the tint treatment but I don’t really feel it does much. A little disappointing. Gray hairs …live onSo the gray at my temples. Slathering in color to point I don’t wipe excess away to get all the fine hairs. Still when I run e out the first thing I see is the glint of silver in the light. I think those fine hair are just resistant to coloring till a certain length…or the color gods are playing a joke on me. The rest of my hair looks gorgeous. Way too darkI went through the entire quiz process and uploaded several pictures of myself. The Demi permanent color I received was supposed to be light brown to match my natural color and cover my grays. I followed the instructions to the letter and I have experience coloring my own hair as I did it for years. While the gray is covered, my hair is now dark brown. I have washed it 5 times with chelating shampoo hoping to fade it faster. Do not recommend! Waste of time and money.Answered all introductory questions for “my color” as closely to my natural hair color and what color I usually get done by my stylist to cover grays. I have naturally dark brown hair and usually get just a shade darker of all over (roots and ends) color. This kit turned my roots a terrible orange brassy color! Now I have to get a work in appointment with my stylist ASAP! :-/ It also took about 25 minutes of continuous rinsing to get the color rinsed out after the application process was done. Odd CombinationI followed the instructions to the letter, using the roots colour and the main colour as described. But the two colours provided were too different to each other. This means I now have brown roots and red hair - I could have done that without having to dye it! Also, the red wasn't as vibrant as I was hoping.
