The colour is beautiful, I’m in love with this company. They’re amazing and the best hair colouring I’ve found ever, I’ve been dying my hair since I was 12! And this has to be the best one to date!
I am SO impressed with this product, it’s the perfect colour. I have blond roots and every at-home dye always ends up with me having flaming red roots and faded ends, but with separate root & ends mixes, my hair ended up the perfect colour all over!! Never going back to store bought.
I’ve been a loyal eSalon customer since February 2014, and my experience truly spans the long haul. After giving birth to my first child, I lost my natural warm chestnut red luster—hello new baby, hello mouse-brown hair. I was devastated. I sent in photos of my pre-pregnancy color, and eSalon nailed a close match on my very first order. With small tweaks on my second and third orders, the color became spot on—exactly how my hair used to grow out of my head.
In the early years, I used a demi-permanent custom mix. My hair stayed in excellent condition, and I loved that there was no harsh line of demarcation as it grew out. Of course, demi-permanent color fades—that’s just its nature—so I supplemented with color-enhancing products, masks, and leave-in treatments. Over time, as I settled into a regular coloring routine and fell completely in love with my restored color, I switched to permanent color. There was simply no going back to dull, gray-toned brown.
Over the years, I’ve adjusted my formula seasonally—brighter and lighter for summer, richer and darker for winter. As I began to gray, I asked for a slightly lighter overall value and eventually increased gray coverage. Whether through formula changes or chemistry adjustments, I can confidently say my gray is fully covered, and I’m extremely satisfied. What I love most is how easily eSalon adapts my formula as my hair changes with time. It truly feels custom in the best sense.

I’ve been a consistent, very satisfied customer since 2014. I love the custom color mixed just for me, and the fact that this formula doesn’t dry my hair out or have other harsh effects as store box color sometimes does. I have more grey, obviously, than I did in 2014 so I don’t color my hair quite as often as I did then. But even with that, the color is very natural looking, and my hair absorbs the color in a way that reflects the natural variations in color it already has, so I’m always very happy with the result. And as it grows out, there are no harsh lines and it all blends beautifully. And the customer service is consistently excellent. Highly recommend!!
I used so many shop bought colours, BUT once tried I’ve continued to buy from esalon. Easy to understand instructions, a colourist there to advise or make changes at any time. I can change my delivery at the click of a phone screen.
The kit was a nice layout with instructions! Gave me enough dye for my amount of hair length. Color is beautiful. The dye is strong so make sure you have a window open.
I’ve paid £140 in the hairdressers for a cut n colour and I’ve gone through a period of paying £6.00 for a box dye from the supermarket. eSalon hair dye is better than both of these. It lasts longer, looks so natural, it leaves my hair soft and shiny and doesn’t dry my scalp or hair out! Highly recommended. Thanks eSalon.
Always beautiful hair colors from ESalon. I really loved this color, but my husband complained it was too red. So, I am toning my hair down to a chocolate brown which is a Beautiful color as well. Looking for my forever color.

I signed up in 2020 during Covid because I could not get to a hair dresser. Now every 8/10 weeks the postman delivers my colour set, which coincides with my roots becoming a band of grey. Over the years I have able to communicate with eSalon to adjust the colour, adjust frequency. I can upload photos to the colourist to show what I like or what I would prefer, and adjustments are made for my next set. It is so personalised and so professional. Any tiny issues I have ever had have been dealt with immediately and kindly. The colour is exceptional. The shampoos and conditioners are salon quality. The whole root-touch up process takes about 40 mins. I really can't recommend it enough. I will never go back to a hairdresser and spend €150 plus on colour. 5 Stars
I love this color system. It looks very professional and saves a ton of money. I can’t fathom going back to overpaying at the salon. Color application is not rocket science and the consultants at eSalon are great at achieving your desired color.

Colorist Alexandria reached out shortly after I placed my order and made a thoughtful recommendation based on my photos, current hair color, and amount of gray. I was ordering a demi-permanent color and wanted to avoid red or overly ashy tones while keeping a natural dark brown look. Although the system suggested a dark brown, Alexandria advised going with a lighter medium brown since the color tends to develop darker on natural hair than the online samples. Her advice was spot-on.
My order arrived quickly and was well packaged, though I would have preferred more recyclable materials and fewer small plastic bags.
Color Set:
The results look very natural, with my grays blending seamlessly. My hair feels shiny and healthy, and there was no skin staining at all during the process. Even with stain-prevention cream, that hasn’t always been the case for me, so I was especially pleased with how clean the application was.
I am extremely pleased. The issue: The vision for my haircolor was somewhat complicated. I prefer natural looks. Yet, at age 63, I "was" 100% gray. I wanted to dye my hair dark brown, yet retain 3-5 gray streaks across my front hairline and slight salt and pepper temples, enough for a distinguished look, yet not appear obviously dyed.. similar to my natural look when I was in my late 40's. The consultant reached out to me on how to achieve this look. I followed her instructions, and patiently took my time. The result was SPECTACULAR and I saved several hundred dollars in the process. My hair looks natural-not dyed. Only my hairdresser and I know my secret (LOL). Confidence renewed. Plus, my hair is soft and manageable, not dried-out. I used to get my hair color in a box from the store and it NEVER turned out right. When I decided to try esalon I was nervous if it would turn out the same as all the other brands I tried. First let me say I love the way it’s personalized. The directions were easy to follow. My hair color came out PERFECT!!! My color was vibrant, shiny and soft.

I have been a customer since the pandemic. And I don’t plan to change anytime soon. Just a couple messages back and forth with my colorist, a picture every now and then, and they nail it every time! I feel comfortable allowing esalon to take care of my hair color… which, after several tears and frustrations with actual salons, is a really, REALLY big deal to me.

I read about E~Salon in several sources after my usual salon closed.
Soon afterwards I was diagnosed with a very serious illness and it became difficult to find the energy for 3~4 hour salon appointments or to afford salon prices as well.

This is THE BEST IDEA to come along in a long time! So simple, discreet and personalized right down to my own name on the box and custom mixed color inside. I love my esalon color. At first I sent a couple of pics and explained my challenges and they were so accommodating. I have long, thick dark brown hair and keeping greys at bay was becoming onerous and expensive and no I’m not ready to embrace my grey!! Esalon sends a generous amount of color so I can do a root touch up, spread the color towards my ends and even tint my eyebrows. I’m a rebel like that. Leave eyelashes to the professionals.

I asked for a slightly darker blonde color and it was beautiful, exactly what I wanted. I want to keep this color and appreciate my colorist taking action and creating a color just for me. I have so many compliments.
I have been using eSalon for over a decade (and am in my senior years)! I continually get compliments about my hair color and even my hair stylist can't believe how well it covers my gray and the highlights throughout. Thanks to eSalon I am able to dye my own roots and have saved literally thousands of dollars coloring my hair myself!
Since eSalon started doing a hair colour without ammonia, I love the product and my hair colour is always looking amazing. Also, customer service is always quick and prompt. Any enquiries are delt with in a 24h.

11/21/2025-Update For all Unbelievers today my hair was terrible so I went looking in my stuff for my hair colors and found one of my old eSalon kits I guess I never used it, so I got it out to use it today I wasn't even sure if it would work because it was Very Thick both bottles had turned thick to compare to a can of paint when opened you have to stir it up before you use it well that's what I did to my hair color bottles I got a kitchen knife out and stirred it up before mixing it together then I mixed together and found it got even thicker now so I squeezed out the first color on my hair but it was so thick so I used a hair coloring brush I had and painted it into my head of hair using my fingertips to get to the scalp well I waited my time before showing it out and it still turned out beautifully so my story is tomes are hard for us right now so if you can use it Don't throw it away, I didn't call eSalon for fear they would tell me it was to old but I was desperate my hair was terrible and today it is the perfect color updated pictures are attached, So Thank You eSalon, great job on my color.
When I first got my set I was a little skeptical wasn't sure how this was going to look on my hair but actually I ended up loving it then, we made some changes and I wasn't so happy with those changes but eSalon fixed it and made me very happy I only slowed down because of the cost I'm going to fix my budget sovwhen I get my hair colors it cuts into my budget so I have to be careful when I order but I love the product it does make my hair look so much better than normal colors I buy at the stores, I've had lots of compliments and I've been told my hair looks beautiful. I had been using a darker shade of brown, but the last time I ordered my colorist had me send a picture. She said I should definitely go lighter. I took her advice and love it. I even added some highlights. eSalon products are easy to use and for a little more $, you get a lot of bang for your buck that you don't get with boxed OTC brands.
I've never colored my hair before, so I had my husband do it for me. It came out amazing. If that doesn't tell you how easy this was, I don't know what will.
The color is absolutely spot on. My colorist chatted with me and decided to change the color I'd chosen based on the picture and description of what I wanted. I like to have a "natural" Irish redhead look, which is a tricky color in my opinion. I watched the instruction videos that were short, sweet, and to the point. Then we winged it. It's perfect. All I can see are the dollar signs I won't have to spend getting it done anymore! So freaking worth it!
