Color is good, smell is not!This dye worked well, color turned out nice. The smell, however, was horrible. The ammonia content must be very high, and I was in a well-ventilated area. Good color match but product seemed harshLove the color, but after this application I felt my hair appeared burned on many of the fine baby hairs and I also lost quite a bit of hair down the drain during the wash out. Do the strand test first!!!Like so many I decided to try and color my hair during covid salon closures. Escalon is excellent if you have a darker color than your natural or want to match your natural to cover grays. Unfortunately, I wanted to lighten my natural a lot because I have heavy blonde highlights— this is just not a realistic expectation with at home color. I cannot stress enough DO THE STRAND TEST FIRST... if you don’t like the shade, they are more than happy to send you out something different.
