I saw no difference after using this product. I took before and after photos thinking it would finally fix the overall red tint in my hair.. instead, I saw no changes made. Left disappointed.

Great reviews for this product; but I've used it two shampoos in a row and am not seeing any change to the unwanted red tones in my hair. Also, I'm not sure what happens in the shower with this product; but after both uses, my hair is very tangled and hard to comb through. While I will probably keep the product and may continue to use it, I don't see me re-purchasing.

While the change in color is subtle, it's not really gold but more orangie. I guess different hair colors produce a different tint result. If this last chance I'm giving eSalon works out, I would try the tint again for that boost, burst of subtle highlights. I do like the wash in tint idea. Take care, stay safe. ~Nansea~

I bought this thinking it would be a much brighter copper than what I got. It dulled my vibrant copper hair down a lot I had to go over it again with a brighter copper colour. I like the idea of this product and it lathered well in my hair but the shade was wrong.

I have been using this every time I shampoo to try and reduce the orange brassiness of my colour. I'm not sure whether it is working or not. My hair is still orange, but perhaps not AS orange as it would be without the tint?

I tried the golden tint rinse I didn't see any shimmer or shine. The product left my hair very dry after rinsing and I needed to condition it twice. I do not think I will use it again.

After reading alot of good things about this I was excited to finally give it a try. I wasn't sure how fast it would work but I've been leaving it on longer and used it several times over a few weeks and it is not changing my colour at all. Plenty of red tones in my hair to be neutralised and no difference at all.
Absolute waste of my money.

I am just about ready to color my hair and did the tint rinse. It actually took all the copper out of my hair and left me blonde. Really unhappy with this product. I used it once and will probably throw the rest away

I guess I expected more visual results from the Tint Rinse than I saw, but it DID give my hair great shine, like the shine I see right after coloring my hair. My color formula is Medium Brown/Warm Beige so choosing the 'Golden' Tint Rinse might have been "my bad" in that my hair is too dark to see much effect from the 'Golden' tint. I did talk to my eSalon stylist who is kindly sending the 'Warm Beige' shade Tint Rinse with my next order. I realize the Tint Rinse isn't supposed to color grays but other than shine, I would hope for a bit of a color boost in-between full color so we'll see what the 'Warm Beige' does.

I had hoped this would coat my gray hair so that I would have another day or two before I had to color. I noticed a slight difference but not enough. I had to wear my hair up and mist around my hairline to make my grays less noticeable. I still use it because it does slightly cover my growing out gray, but I know it doesn't do exactly what I need in a pinch.

This product was supposed to eliminate red tones from hair but it actually brought out much more red, to the point that it looked as if I had colored my dark brown hair to auburn! It also leaves hair very dry! I called to see if I could return it and was told they only accept product that is sealed and has never been used. So buyer beware!! There is no guarantee on satisfaction on this!

eSalon recommended I try this so I did. It isn't visible at all on my dark hair. It left color on my hands though so that was not great. It shouldn't have been recommended for my hair as it's darkest red brown so too dark for this red to make any impact at all.

my hair had been light brown for a while and i was growing my roots out in hope this would actually do something, alas, it did not. dont waste your money on this if youre looking to make your hair darker because it neither did that or cancelled brassiness..

Can’t tell any difference at all to my colour.
Makes your hair all dried out and knotty.
Also it foams up like a shampoo and so is really messy.

I was thinking this was for hiding in between grey roots. It is not. I really don't need a tint rinse as Esalon doens't get a bad tint to it and this stuff is a mess to work with

Very watery, and very sudsy. I have used masks before and they have never been liquidy. Overall the product works to revive the tone and tint of your color but can go fast because it’s like water.

I did lots of research ahead of time and this sounded good but honestly did not notice any change at all. I was hoping there would be a noticeable difference but 3 times already and no real change. Can’t help but be disappointed. Maybe because only grey tone and no purple or blue tone to the shampoo? Not sure why but for the price I feel it is a waste of money

Pros: Smells great, decent price, lathers really well, I have hair down to my butt and only needed roughly a palm full to cover my hair well.
Cons: It didn't work.
I have naturally red hair that gets a little flat and dull in the winter and I was hoping to brighten it up and make it more vibrant. It did nothing to my hair, except turn my natural blondish highlights a kool-aid red color. Super bummed, I had high hopes.

I had high hopes for this but unfortunately it seems to leave a film on my hair which weighs it down and leaves it feeling flat. It does brighten the colour a little bit but I feel like I need to wash my hair the next day which kind of defeats the purpose. I have tried it without putting conditioner on my hair afterwards and it was a bit better so maybe it just doesn’t agree with my fine hair.

I’m very familiar with neutralizers, tints, and other tools to fight brassiness but this wins the worst product category. I hate it, which is odd because I love every other Esalon product I’ve tried.
I have brown hair, with some lighter highlights and have never had a tint make my hair a more putrid tone. Maybe I got a bad bottle (I actually had a couple because I’d forgotten to cancel it from the next order) and I threw them all out.
Maybe it’s just my hair but I won’t touch this again- I much prefer John Freda brunette shampoo or a purple shampoo.

Absolutely horrible product!! I have 7N roots and level 9 partial highlights (medium blonde) and wanted to give my hair a bit of a boost/warmth. I mixed the Golden + Copper for subtle strawberry blonde effect, but instead, I was left with PINK highlights!! I was horrified! Not only that, my otherwise healthy hair turned into a dry, frizzy mess! Thank god I had redken toners at home to fix it... never again!

Not worth the money as it doesn't seem to add any color or tint to my hair color. It is the right color in the bottle. Just doesn't translate to lightening or coppering up my hair color. Also, made my hair seem stiff and brittle.

I ordered 2 Color Tints, (1 golden, 1 copper) and the Weekly moisturizing treatment. I tried to apply Autoship, so I can pay $6 each, instead of $15 each...my total is $45, and it should be $18!!! What's going on?

I have used this twice and I don't get any color from it. It rinsed right out. I then have to color my hair with another color mixture until I can color it again. Not good! I like the idea a lot but wish it could be improved to actually leave color behind. Especially at the roots which is really where I need the color. As i said it's a wonderful idea if it worked!

I’ve tried several purple toning shampoos and this doesn’t really tone like other brands. It definitely didn’t make my hair look like the picture. My hair is at a level 9/10 and after using the rinse, it looked the exact same sadly. It does however make my hair super coarse. I will not be purchasing this product again.

Although I love esalon products but this one is the worse product I ever used on my hair ( dark brunette)
Did nothing except damaging my hair to an extreme level as if I did bleaching. extremely dried and felt like straw. I have done 2 hair mask treatments and its still very damaged. I'm extremely disappointed with the recommendation, never again

It doesn't do anything. I tried following the instructions to a T, no change my hair is still brassy. I tried leaving it longer, nothing, still red. It also leaves an oily film on the hair that makes the hair look dull.

I did not find any positive effects using this product. No reviving color. No “brilliant shine.” However, I would recommend “Shine Silk” for shine.

After just one wash I enjoyed the immediate difference in vibrancy and tone but I noticed much more hair breakage than usual. Even after several days without use and conditioning treatments my hair still has a more brittle feel. I understand this contains ammonia but I was highly disappointed in the final results of this product.

I never want to give a bad review, but I oh, I was so disappointed in Tint Rinse. I fully anticipated I would love this product. It seemed the perfect solution to dull hair color that needs refreshing about that second or 3rd week after an initial hair color. I followed the instructions carefully, but sadly, it didn't refresh or brighten my hair color nor did it add any shine. A good conditioner was ultimately a better solution. I can't recommend this product and it breaks my heart. Sorry.

If you have very red coloured hair or are naturally ginger and looking for more depth it's probably perfect, but for me it was way too red and not "ginger" enough, I also felt like it had a tendency to be quite patchy on drier areas of my hair, and especially around face framing pieces and the top section. I mixed it with the golden version and preferred it like that.

Maybe because of my short, fine hair there's not enough there to work with! As much as I wanted to love this product, after three uses, there has never been a noticeable difference. I love my eSalon hair color so just because the rinse didn't work for me, I'm still pleased with the main product.

Smells great, but it foams and it felt like it tangled my hair even worse that if I hadn’t used it.
