Penny LaneMy hair started out blonde. I said that I was only coloring my roots. I followed the instructions to the letter. I ended up with copper (the color of pennies) roots. It was a disaster. I couldn't get to my hairdresser right away so I tried stripping out the color with head and shoulders and crushed vitamin c. I had to get an ash toner after that. Then I had to go to my hairdresser and spend over $100 to get my hair back to blonde. Please cancel my subscription ASAP and send me a letter confirming that no other color will be sent and there will be no further charges to my account. My hair turned pink - HorribleHorrible. The stylist Sabrina changed my formula without asking and sent me a color end refresher. It was a completely different formula than what I was using. The formula I used previously was the color I wanted. I asked for more color as my hair did not get a complete application the first time around. Very sad.I was very excited for my kit to come in the mail. Followed the instructions to a T, and there is barely any change in color. Hair is soft from shampoo and conditioner though. Terrible colorI loved this company at first. I was so excited to have a custom hair color delivered to my door for a reasonable price. The process was easy with no trip to the salon necessary. With that being said the products are not consistent. The first few colors were spot on then they kept going down hill. Each time I thought it next time will be right after the third time of a completely wrong color I canceled my subscription. Hair is dry & grayI love the branding and efficiency of E Salon and have been excited to receive the personalized boxes each month. Unfortunately, it has left my hair very dry and the hair color doesn’t absorb well into my hair leaving it gray in areas I spend focused time dying. 2nd hair coloringAbsolutely do not like. The first time I thought it was great a pretty mahogany color. This time, it looks like an ugly dark brown and when I first washed it out, my hair felt like I had glue in it. Hair is super dark now :(I ordered a medium golden brown color and unfortunately my hair is fully dark brown now. I washed it the fourth time to see if the color would fade, but unfortunately it didn't reach the Golden tone I usually get by using Feria. It did cover the greys better than the other one I'm used to. But I don't like my hair dark and I've been keeping it lighter for years. I wish there was a way to fix it before my wedding. Too much money too little returnColor is muddy and does not last. If not left for at least twenty minutes over the recommended time, new growth is completely untouched. When it does color, instead of an intense copper I get a muddy old tarnished penny color. What am I paying 27 bucks for? Not at all satisfied. In fact In general I’m really ticked. Be Careful!So, to anyone who has virgin hair and is looking for a demi-permanent color: don’t be surprised if it’s not what you expected. I recently ordered a red-copper shade that ended up being more of a slight red tint than anything, and that was a bit disappointing. However, my hair feels very soft and nice, and i reached out to customer service to see if there’s anything i can do to get it closer to what i wanted. Fumes too strong, but great results.The ammonia fumes are scary. I inhaled too much while rinsing in the sink (I can't use the shower). Also, this is a messy activity if you aren't good at doing your own hair - separating into 4 quarters, pinning, applying solution, unpinning, reapplying, repinning.... just too much pinning and unpinning while working with the wet hair color. My final pinning must have looked rediculous because I could barely get the hair stay up in the pins. However, after all was done, it did look great. Note I did not have a sticky, gunky film of residue like others mentioned. I did have hair dye spots still on my scalp that I had to scratch off, and hair dye got on my arms and face. I used a makeup removing cloth to clean it off my arms and face. Also, and very important, my instructions recommended I use leftover solution in my final rise, which nearly killed me with fumes in the sink. Don't do this. For the short time frame this leftover dye is in contact with your hair there wouldn't be a benefit, and not worth the horrid blast of fumes. Just rinse it out with water and then wash your hair. Ruined my hairI’ve used other at home color kits before and after using this one my hair was really dry. I also seemed to have lost a lot of hair. I have really thick hair and I brushed it prior but still had a lot come out while shampooing. And hair feels dry and brittle afterwards. I liked the ideaI chose Natural Dark Blonde, which is close to my natural color. I didn’t feel my colorist took into consideration the level I wanted mixed with the correct neutralizer or level to correct my warm ginger/orange/copper in my hair. My color had a small amount of blue but absolutely no green to counteract the orange. So my hair turned a medium auburn brown due to the underlying pigment not being neutralized. Hair color lifted too red - even though I specified in my notes that I lift red!So, I used the product last night. All went well. The shipping was great, box and contents nicely done. Instructions well written. But - and a BIG but - the color was too red! I wrote a very long and detailed note explaining that I lift red very easily and need an 'ash' type color. I got dark blonde - ash. Which was on the box. The color was too light and now I'm this brassy red color on my part. (I used it as a touch up to color the gray that was growing out.) I'm not happy and now stuck with this awful light brassy orange/red color. Ugghhhh! I even uploaded 3 different photos of me and my hair. Very thick and difficult to wash product outThis is about the 2nd or 3rd color set that I have had tremendous difficulty washing the color product out of my hair. I’ve washed with shampoo 3 times one night and 3 times the next day and still have a thick coating on my hair! Can’t be good for it. Never got to try itI ordered my color and it seemed to have gotten lost in the mail...not the companies fault. I contacted esalon and they graciously said they would send a replacement. Cut to a month later and it still said processing with no end in sight. I was really excited to try this but instead had to cancel without even getting to try it. Nope Nope NopeI had my personal color mixed to a dark blond. When I put it on my hair it turned it a dark blond but an orange dark blond. Not an ashy dark blond like I wanted. Strong Smell& Wrong colorThe color was too dark on the strand test and the ammonia smell was overpowering so I opted not to use the product and cancel my account. They were willing to create another color for free but the smell turned me off. The products included in the box make a great presentation and are all the items you need. And the price is great. Two chances, not happyI have now tried this product twice and both times have been have not been happy with the result. The first application was very brassy and didn’t cover my greys. I let the colourist know this and they adjusted the colour. I received my next kit with instructions for a ‘root refresh’ which I followed to the letter and I now have darker bright roots and lighter ends. I have been home colouring my hair for over 20 years, so I’m not novice at this. It also smells really really bad, I felt quite wheezy using it the second time. Worst experience in 25 years of coloringI have a pixie cut. Very easy to color. I mixed color and developer, as per instructions. Within 10mins it turned into a watery, dripping mess. I couldn't act quick enough to prevent my bathroom carpets getting ruined. Didn't realize it had ran down my arms, I have MS, and it got on my walls. Nothing will take it off. Now I have to paint. Sludge my hairI dont know what happen or what went wrong, but this set made sludge on my scalp and I ended up calling for help as I was balling my eyes out. I struggled to remove it from my hair. I ended up having to use baby shampoo to get it out. And on top of it, it never looked any different. I’m so unimpressedI ordered online because I didn’t want to use Walmart quality hair dye and that what I got. I followed the instructions to a tee and still see grays, my skin is burning along with my eyes. I specifically said in my notes that I have an issue with thinning hair and losing it due to medical issues and that’s why I wanted specialized hair dye rinsing it out I lost 2x the usual hair and for the first time in a long time I had to use a conditioner. Turned to goop in my hairIt turned into glue in my hair when I went to rinse it out. It wouldn't come out. I thought I was going to have to shave my head to get it out. I washed it with shampoo twice before it started to loosen up. I had to wash it 4 times to get it all out. My hair seems ok now after some major conditioner action. It's not dry yet. Not happy with colorThe dates of the color differed on the instructions and the box. The color was not what was discussed, but turned out exactly like the last color that left my hair brassy. I mean exactly the same with zero Ash and a lot of Brass. I specifically spoke to a consultant to address the color that I didn’t like and somehow got the same color. Guess that time was a waste. The color you originally selected was a Dark Blonde Golden Mahogany, and your second selection was Dark Blonde Natural Copper. These are both colors with warm/red-based tones. When discussing your reformulation, we previously recommended a salon to better suit your goal of removing these warm tones, as with at-home color you can only mask such tones by coloring over them and making the hair darker, which you expressed you did not want to do. After your consultation with your colorist, you wished to proceed after these things were explained, and we made a slight adjustment to reduce warmth without overly darkening your hair per your comments. We are sorry to hear that this reformulation did not suit your needs. We are always happy to work with you and reformulate if your goals change in the future. A darker color would mask your current warm tones more effectively, however to stay at your current level and remove coppery tones, a traditional salon service would be required. Ruined my hair.I should have known this was a harsh product, because the ammonia smell was overwhelming. I've been doing my own colors at home for 40 years and both my parents were hairdressers, so I know what to do, and I followed the eSalon directions to the letter. The color was not what I ordered to begin with, and it has faded after two washings. Still too darkOn one hand, I really like this system but I am having a hard time getting them to not put too much brown into my color. Last time they adjusted it by sending me a more red color for the ends and that worked but this time I only got one bottle of color and it was the overall color with more brown in it. So pretty much the opposite of what I was hoping. It's still pretty. Just not the red I was going for. Not The Color I ExpectedWas supposed to get lightest blonde for highlighting and covering some gray but it ended up turning out very red strawberry blonde. I did everything exactly by the book and watched the video, so it wasn't because I didn't leave it on long enough or missed a important step or anything. I was able to tone down the red with purple shampoo, but in the end my hair is somewhat damaged and isn't near as blonde as I wanted. Not dark enoughThe color didn’t match the pictures that I sent. I was expecting a phone call from a stylist before the order was filled to make sure it was correct. There was too much bronze and not enough brown. I did end up liking the color but it’s not what I expected. Although it’s way better than accidentally going too dark. Next time I will ask for a darker brown with mahogany and less bronze. Repeated wrong colorI am unable to get the resulting color I am looking for - I asked for Golden Blonde and have shared that I have red in my hair naturally - which is important when attempting to achieve golden blonde according to every salon that has serviced my hair. Usually a colorist will only get this wrong one time before updating to correct to achieve the outcome. This has been at least four times and the color has not been adjusted despite my feedback. It is a shame, the color could not be corrected because I really like how my hair feels once I've used the included shampoo and conditioner. I may need to adapt colorI still am baffled by the gel like gunk that the coloring process entails in rinsing...almost like the water doesn't rinse it out...it just stays in one place...maybe some explanation in this in the instructions to warn that it will do this and the most sufficient way to remove it...im always scared to use the shampoo after coloring because I don't want to ruin the color but I think its necessary along with conditioning of course to get the color gunk out...the color is really nice but im still having issues with brassiness after about a week...I have no red in my natural color and I was hoping salon could help me with this by given me the right mixture of cool ash neutral coloring but Ive yet to be able to get rid of the reddish color...maybe I need to have the color experts adjust my mix? 0 de 0 personas encontraron este comentario útil. ¿Y tú? |

UndecidedWhile I love the quality and amount of color received, the color is way off what I expected to receive. Poor Gray coverage.....roots turned YELLOWThe color seemed to match very well where my roots are darker...It did not cover my white roots around my hairline very well. Way too much packaging!Initially fell for the "boxed" concept, but as I opened unnecessary packaging after unnecessary packaging including 2 pairs of gloves for one treatment, I realised your approach wasn't for me. The worstI asked for a light blonde copper similar to the color I had. Now my hair is dark red auburn and I have a business meeting I am presenting at in a few days and look like a circus clown. Awful never againThis was a last chance order and I have to it’s awful. I’ve been ordering for over three years and quality has got worse! Colour is non existent except for pink tinge to hair. I was left again with a slugs on my scalp that took over 45mins to remove! Grey through in a week. Not my favorite.I’ve colored my hair plenty on my own. This dye is not special by any means. They gave me 2 different colors(one for roots and one for ends). I did not ask to have that. Worst hair color everI’ve been coloring my hair for 45 yrs both drugstore dye and salon color. I decided to try this to cover my grays. It was the worst hair color I’ve ever used. It lasted approximately 5 days. Glue like pudding gell consistency, could not get out of my hair!Talk about permanent color! Total panic! This my third kit and something awful has happened! It took me an entire bottle of shampoo(no joke) and half a bottle of apple cider vinegar to get the color to rinse out of my roots. The color became like a thick paste gel and literally would not rinse off in the shower. This has never happened to me before with e salon, or any other color in my life for that matter.
