Very disappointedVery messy, you have two bottles of color, one for the roots and one for the ends. Hard to rinse out, left my hair feeling sticky even after 4 rinses. FadingI know it's normal for color to fade. However, I'm not really happy with the extreme fading for my all over color. I'm concerned that when I redo my roots, that my root area there is going to be an extreme color difference, between my all over color, with fresh root color?? Pretty bad4 tries and 4 results that are far off the mark. First three kits (color to take warm blonde into copper) just sent toner, which did not color the hair. 4th attempt was darker red which I had hoped would be easier to deliver on. I now have crayon red roots and hair that looks like I washed it with koolaid. Didn’t lastWhile the color was beautiful and my hair was so soft and smelled great, the color wore off in 2 1/2 weeks. My roots came right through. Even the color shampoo didn’t help. Hair breakageNot good for fine Nordic hair. I've colored my hair about 3-4 times with this product and my hair has gotten thinner and very brittle from using this hair color - also the natural waves in my hair is almost obsolete. Severe damage to hair, lot of breakage and it is also less elastic than usual. Will take long before the damage is repaired and my hair is back to normal length and fullness. Still DarkI've never dyed my hair before so I did a strand test from a video I saw on youtube from esalon. I followed the instructions and my hair is still as dark as it was before. My hair is a dark brown and I wanted to dye it to ash pearl. I only rate this a two because my hair did feel a lot softer, but I am disappointed in the coloring. colour came out wrongI followed all the instructions and my hair was not as you promised. I have taken a before and after photo. All my brown that I spent ages (high salon costs of bleaching and recolouring) to get right is gone and a very unbecoming red has emerged after using your colour. I did not want red but dark brown. I send a picture of my colour and wanted my roots to be blended into the new colour. Now my roots are jetblack and the rest is red. DisappointingI received my color kit as expected. It’s just a box that mostly contains all the stuff every dye kit contains with one nice exception: there is a little tube of stuff you can put along your hairline to prevent dye stains. It worked very well. I read all the instructions carefully before I began and followed them all without exception but my color turned out badly. I chose an auburn color that wasn’t far from what I had already; it just needed to be refreshed and my grays covered. What I got was a vaguely orange color that didn’t even cover all the gray. Definitely won’t order againI was very specific about my hair colour the greys and what I was looking for. Instead they delved into every detail of my hair and ended up sending me a jet black which I was adamant I did not want. As a result of their specialists not listening I will never reorder again or use Esalon. Bad colourMy roots are soooooooo much lighter than the rest of my hair. Following the instructions my roots went super light, there were still greys that werent covered. Stinkt und brennt beim Auftragen.Ich habe langes, lockiges Haar und von eSalon eine zweite Flasche Haarfarbe für die Längen im Paket vorgefunden. Meine Erfahrungen: 1.) Das Mittel stinkt beim Auftragen extrem nach Wasserstoff Peroxyd. Ich bekam Atembeschwerden davon. Nirgendwo findet sich eine Beschreibung der Inhaltsstoffe. 2.) Man schickte mir für den Ansatz eine andere Farbe als für die Längen. Trotz exakter Anwendung und Zeiteinhaltung hatte ich braune Ansätze und rote Längen. Das mag schick sein, doch von mir ganz sicher so nicht gewollt. 3.) Die Menge der einzelnen Färbemittel ist viel zu viel. Die Hälfte geht davon in den Ausguss. Ich rief an und die freundliche Dame sagte mir, dass die Mengen vorgegeben und nicht veränderbar seien. 4.) What happened to your product?I had ordered the hair color several times over the past few years, and I had always been pleased. In fact, I even received compliments on the color itself. After trying a few other products, I came back again to eSalon. What a disappointment! Although the color is still very nice, the product now leaves a terrible sticky residue on my hair. After the first shipment, I thought I had neglected to rinse thoroughly. However, this time I made certain to rinse well. I had to wash my hair 4 times to get the residue out of my hair. Deceptive and Poor Customer ServiceI was shopping on the site of what looked to be a competitor and was switched to esalon. I purchased hair dye without knowing that I had been switched to esalon. I received the product, but I am not comfortable using it, after reading the terrible reviews, especially about wax that is difficult to remove. Esalon now expects me to pay shipping to return the unused product. Also, I never requested to be set up for auto ship, but in placing a complaint, I found that I was set to receive a shipment each month. Beautiful color but doesn’t cover my graysI’ve been using for almost a year now and I wanted to love it. But when I am done coloring my hair, my small gray hairs in the front of my face haven’t been colored and then within a week or two any gray it did cover fades off and my grays are there. Didn't get the color I wantedI chose an ashy type of light brown hoping to get what I asked for. I did everything as written on the note but ended up with a color much darker and redder than I wanted, or that was on the picture. Moreover, I didn't have a lot of gray hair to start off, but the color wasn't able to cover them. After the second time coloring my hair, it began to fall out in the showerI liked the color the first time I used esalon and ordered the same thing for a second time. The second smelled stronger than the first but was supposed to be the exact same thing. When I used the shampoo & conditioner supplied, my hair felt like straw and it felt like I couldn't get the product out of my hair. Then my hair started coming out in large amounts in the shower. I couldn't even get a comb through it. I had to add some of my own conditioner to be able to comb it and more hair came out. I became terrified when I saw how much hair I had lost. I, fortunately, have thick hair and it is very healthy, but my hair is significantly thinner than it was before coloring my hair with the esalon products. NOT DEMI PERMANENTI wanted my hair light brown. My Demi permanent colored hair was fading from when I got it colored at a salon so I thought it would be any easy touch up. My hair went from fading neutral light brown to red brown with lots of warm undertones. I went to my hair dresser to get my hair fixed and she said they sent me PERMANENT hair color because it dyed my roots and she could see a spot I missed and my roots weren’t dyed. Do not buy this is you expect Demi permanent. My order receipt literally said I ordered Demi. Also they didn’t send me enough dye. Not exactly what I’d hoped forNot exactly the result I’d hoped for. The roots covered well, but the length application bottle wasn’t enough for my long hair and the result is lighter/patchy on one side. The overall effect tonally is closer to where I wanted to be however the ‘copper’ colour wasn’t near bright enough and has faded really quickly. The repurchase is saying it will only end a bottle for my roots but it’s the body of my hair that needs to most dye and more colour retention for a ‘copper’ look. Like all the restI really wanted to love this product. And they have an excellent marketing campaign. Salon product etc. But this product gives me no better coverage Integrity of color than all the over the counter products and I’ve tried them all. I’ve even kept it on for an hour or more. It washes out fast And i use John Sebastian for brunettes Color shampoo and conditioner once a week as It has no sulphate etc. Doesn’t work for me. Too expensive for over counter results. After posting this review I received an email stating the various ways to keep my color fresh. I am 60 years old. I use every one of these precautions. . No hot or even warm water. I use lukewarm at best, color safe shampoo and conditioner for colored hair and for brunettes, no other styling products, no hot styling tools, etc. I don’t do much with my hair. The bottom line is it’s just not a better product than the over the counter stuff I can purchase for half the price. And it does have that weird waxy feel to it which I don’t like at all. Not a clean feeling. Make hair clumpy when rinsing it. I am canceling my auto ship. I postponed it but there’s no need to continue it. Did not tackle the graysThe color kit did not cover the grays as it has in the past. Nothing was done differently than any previous time, same application, same amount of time to process on the hair. PurpleI have been using esalon for years. This last one I got, I mixed it up and started to put it on my hair and noticed it was purple. Shook it some more, still purple. It was not the right color. I immediately went and washed my hair to make sure it didn’t turn into something crazy. Reported to Esalon. They did nothing, wouldn’t even refund my money for dye I had to throw out. Red isn’t that redOrdered a light brown copper golden colour which looked very copper in the photo. When I had applied my colour it was very dark and not much red to it. After the first wash basically all the red had gone and I’m left with brown hair. I spoke with customer service who said that I can request the exact colour I wanted, which was a redken copper mix. I found this website while looking for the redken colours I needed. Such a shame it didn’t work out. Great color, didn’t cover graysI was pleasantly surprised that the end result was so natural and beautiful/rich/healthy looking. I did put 3 stars because the goal was to cover up my grays even though I have very few (about 10%-15). I did find that the semi permanent dye did not cover up my grays very well. When I first ordered this, I made sure to let my colorist know by writing it down on my comments What I needed out of the color. Hatte um ein dunkel Aschblond gebeten, das Ergebnis was viel zu rot und kein Aschton. Auch die Farbe selbst war für mich zu aggressiv. Das Konzept generell finde ich toll. Completely missed the markAfter providing details, current photos and 3 desired color images I imagined I would be supplied with the right kit. I even spoke with esalon prior to make it clear that I want to remove my red tones out of my light brown hair to go to a lighter neutral blonde. The results I endured up with is a darker red shade. My hair seems darker and less bright compared to my natural hair color... Now I dont know what to do...I've uploaded a after photo to show the result. No differenceI didn’t see any color change. I wanted a shade or two lighter with a cooler tone, at least. I didn’t see a difference and none of my friends did either. I have medium to dark blonde hair that holds a strawberry blonde tone, so maybe it was just too stubborn. Very good packaging though, everything was great quality and very cute. It was okayThe kit needs to come with a few more stain removers. The cool toolset was a bad choice but your video talked me into it. I have been dying my hair for over 10 years. Great color but...Love the natural looking color, but it really dries out my hair no matter how much I condition it. Bad instructions, horrible colorist. Still gray.Got my first box in the mail yesterday and I was super excited to try today. Open up the box and found that the instructions they gave me were only for a root color and a 10-minute process for the ends when I clearly told them it would be an all over process that I needed. immediately picked up the phone to talk to one of their superb colorists to walk me through what I should do, and it was an epic failure. The girl on the other end of the phone barely had a pulse and zero customer service skill. over and over after I explain myself I kept being told that their suggestion was to only leave the color on 10 minutes on the ends no matter how many times I explain to her how persistent my grays were. I'm a blond that's about 75% Gray and I can tell the difference between blond and gray so I know when a color fails. I thanked her for absolutely zero help and went along to color my hair per their instructions so I didn't fry it. Even with 30 minutes on the roots as instructed, my temples and roots are still completely gray, Where the color did take on the rest of my hair for the 10 minutes it was being processed is burnt (but yes, blonde, for a week I'd guess, but it had absolutely zero coverage on the grays that frame my face. I will try to get a refund, but there's no way I'll do it again if they offer a replacement as their "guarantee." Buyer beware, you're not speaking to a stylist when you're calling in, they won't offer you any tips except for reading a script...if you challenge them with any question that is outside of their script all they tell you is "this is the only suggestion we have." Maybe they should hire "stylists" with a personality that show a little more excitement over the product, and add hype words to their script. "Yes! Sure! Happy to help! This is what I'd try!" Grays, Grays EverywhereI am loving the color, but it’s only lasting about a week before my grays start to show their ugly face again. This happened with my last coloring too so really I have only been 100% satisfied with the way my very first coloring lasted. Ammonia, overall colorThe quality of the color is good but this product has a very strong ammonia smell that I cannot deal with. Color not takingIt’s not so much of a bad review, it’s just that it didn’t take to my roots well enough. I’ve used another brand & it’s amazing. Yours cost way more but didn’t do the job.
