Did not cover graysI am very unhappy. The color did not cover the grays at my roots. And the color is not at all what I hoped for/ thought I had requested. I asked for something a little more red/golden. It is very brown. No one contacted me to discuss my color, as I was expecting based on what you claim you do. Charged but not receivedI got the initial product but continued to get charged and never received any more product. I never received any refund for the products that I paid for and never received either. I can't give them any kind of product review when I can't even get the product! I cancelled it out, chalked it up to a big fat loss and wrote a bad review. Didn’t do anythingI have red hair. I wanted to go blonde. When asked if I wanted to send a note to my colorist, I wrote that in there. That I have naturally red hair that I wanted lightened to blonde so I could eventually go pink. When sent my items I was excited but I left the coloring on for an hour and it did nothing. When I emailed to let them know, I was told my colorist said I’d need to go into a salon and they couldn’t help with red to blonde. But that they were giving me a free color credit.. what good is a color credit going to do for me if you just said you can’t help me? Gloves missing, can’t use the hair color they sentAfter they shipped they sent me an email to say only one pair of gloves was being sent. Too late for me to stop shipping. I understand they want to help emergency workers, but I am on lockdown, a senior citizen, can’t go out to buy gloves, or to get my hair done. I thought Salon would be helpful and easy but I was mistaken. I only used Salon once before when the badly stained gloves could not be reused. I probably will stop using this product for this reason. Great Service, Poor ResultsFrom start to finish, the esalon process felt smooth, streamlined, and easy. The colour I selected after the quiz was exactly what I was looking for, and the formulation and shipping were super quick. I also got updates at every step along the way, which was great. The package that came contained everything needed, with clear, easy-to-follow instructions, and nice little touches like your name on the bottle and a sticker to hang the instruction pamphlet while you work. Unfortunately, the only negative part of the process was the colour itself, which is kind of a big deal. I was given two different formulations for roots and ends, and the result was supposed to be an intense copper (natural redhead). What actually happened was that my roots now barely look any different from the natural medium/ash blonde I started with, and my lengths/ends look a completely different colour. But not even the colour I was hoping for - it turned out more of an Auburn, with a weird pink overtone to the copper that almost looks more like rose gold than copper/red. I was very careful to follow instructions and times; I wasn't expecting perfect salon quality results, but I was certainly expecting better than this. The result I got is not a terrible colour, and the roots being different almost looks like a balayage. My hair isn't ruined, and as far as the condition, it still feels nice. However, it is not even close to what I wanted and I'm very disappointed how far off the mark this colour is. I could have gotten a closer/more even result if I stuck with a standard box. Not for grays...This covers gray for about three weeks and then fizzles. Application directions followed, left a little longer on, hair color looked fantastic for about two weeks. Still smooth though, just grays are sparkling. The color was very dark, I prefer the previous version. I also requested a lighter shade to blend the gray so this was a bit disappointing to get a darker shade bc in good faith customers apply it and then it’s super dark. I had to bring the color down to the roots for a few minutes to be sure the color would flow. Extrêmement déçueLa couleur ne correspond pas du tout à ma demande, alors que j'ai pris la peine d'appeler le coloriste. J'avais demandé un châtain chaud avec des reflets cuivré. J'ai eu un brun trop foncé terne sans reflet. Le produit sent très très fort et abîme les cheveux dramatiquement. Pour le prix, je suis extrêmement déçue du service. J'ai eu l'impression d'importuner la coloriste, elle n'a pas ajusté la couleur, à aucun moment c'était du sur-mesure. Je suis extrêmement déçue du produit, très fort en amoniaque, qui attaque le cheveu et la couleur est terne et pas du tout celle que j'ai choisi. Color looked good! But!The color was a great match. It was a cheap price and instructions were easy. But! My hair was oily afterwards and no matter how may times I washed my hair, it looked oily. When I contacted them, I was told to try their shampoo which made me think something was in their products to make you buy more products. Strong ChemicalVery strong chemical odor. Why would you want to put that on your hair? It burned my nostrils and made me dizzy when I smelled of it. I use Argan color from Sally and have been happy with it. Plus they put me on auto-ship which I was not aware of so now I have to take the time to go to the P>O. and send it back before I can get a refund. Did absolutely nothing but make my hair yellowI have naturally dark blonde hair and wanted it to be lightened to a light blonde color so I ordered the custom hair color kit. Was pretty easy to apply and use, but was extremely confusing on what it was and what it would do to my hair. Followed all the instructions and let air dry only to realize my hair was extremely yellow and not one shade lighter. Do not buy if you want to go lighter, it does not work. I cannot even explain what kind of dirt brown color they sent me!I ordered a golden blonde balayage for my dark auburn hair, not only did my color turn out DARKER than before but I got an all over color kit not the balayage kit that I wanted. My hair became dry and damaged and the color is 100% not what I ordered. I don't know what kind of amateurs are formulating this color, but please don't waste your time, money, and your precious hair health on a product that DOES NOT DO EVEN THE SIMPLEST DYE JOBS. Wrong ColorI adjusted my color from dark brown to medium brown but the medium brown color came out exactly as the dark brown color. My husband actually said to me "How come you dyed your hair the same color? I thought you said it was too dark?" Turned my hair orangeWhat a disaster. I followed every instruction to the T and when I was done my roots were a gross rust/orange color. I’ve used many different at home hair colors, including Esalon preciously, in between salon visits and I have NEVER had my hair turn this color. Not what I wantedI ordered this color to make my hair lighter and even put that in the notes for my stylist. This color made my hair even darker which is exactly want I didn’t want. Do not recommend!Honest review from a woman that has been doing most of my own hair coloring at home since the age of 14. —> The package arrived very timely and in a pretty box set. A+ for presentation! However, I am NOT happy with the product at all! F for the remainder of the review! The color was supposed to be darkest brown, which is the color I have been using on my hair for a long time now. Prior to coloring, I had about 2-2 1/2 inches of growth, which you can still sort of see and my roots look like a slightly lighter shade of brown. Also, it did not cover all my gray. Gray coverage has never been an issue for me and I have used many brands of hair color over the years. I had a friend that does hair help me apply the product. Her response to the strong smell of the dye liquid should have been enough for me to change my mind when she said that this is dollar store quality and it was bad for my hair. The dye liquid had an extremely strong odor! My hair is pretty tough when it comes to color and I wanted to know what the end results were going to be, so I proceeded with the application. My ends, which my friend trimmed prior to coloring feel dry and rough as if she did nothing. This product did exactly what my friend said it would. Très déçuJe suis vraiment déçu du produit j’ai eu les racines rousses et le reste des longueurs châtain vraiment un gros problème. Pourtant j’ai l’habitude de me faire mes teintures d’autant plus que mon crâne est très irrité. J’ai du aller m’acheter une teinture en grande surface pour rattraper les dégâts . Did not cover enough gray.Did not cover enough gray. I would like to go just a little warmer brown. Love the gold. It could have been my fault maybe I didn’t use enough product. Maybe I didn’t leave it on long enough. I also did it on clean hair but I would like my gray covered better. I am hoping just a little more brown tint will cover the gray better. What in the world?I followed the directions to a tee, including doing a strand test...which turned out great. However, when I did the all over color, my majority of my natural color was turned a gingery brown, and my ends look no different. I look like the lost Spice Girl, 2006 edition! Terrible with my complexion. Did not take to my roots.Hello, I truly hate having to give a somewhat bad review. My husband had gotten me this set for my birthday last year and I loved it. So when I ordered it again I was hoping for the same results. Sadly it didn't happen. My ends turned out ok. But my roots look horrible. It took in some places not all. It's very blotchy. I've been coloring my own hair red for over 20 yrs. So I feel I know what I'm doing. I don't know if I chose a color to light or didn't have enough. But I followed step by step instructions. Maybe I needed a darker base. Light to medium brown to give me that dark red I was hoping for. Otherwise my roots the product is wonderful,. I'm sorry I do love eSalon. Not greatDidnt cover grey well. Color is very natural looking but not what I wanted at all. Very dark. And while the color didnt have big impact I feel it's already faded. Seems within a week or 2 my hair is almost simply brown and barely red (note, my hair has natural red Auburn undertone and highlight I wanted to bring out, not cover). I only wash my hair every few days so I'm disappointed. Not better than what you buy from the storeI’ve requested a medium blond with an ash tone as this is my natural colour and tone and the result on fully grown roots is a medium honeycomb reddish blonde. It’s the worst colour shade I’ve ever had. It is also very harsh for the scalp. Ive lost a fistful of hair in the shower. Two tone hair is not cuteMy last kit gave me two-toned hair and not it a cute way. My ends were copper blond and my roots were brown and I am going for an auburn copper look all over. This last order was supposed to fix it and all I can say is thank goodness for quarantine so that no one will be seeing me like this and I have tome to try to fix it again. I followed the directions to the letter, setting timers and using the brush to apply and everything you're supposed to do. I officially have two toned hair. My ends are almost blond. My roots are an incredibly fake looking red. It's really, really bad. I have been getting better results for years from buying grocery store hair color. Turned my hair orangeHi.... I'm giving this two stars instead of one because I really liked my hair the first time I dyed it using Madison Reed. With my first order the company supposedly sent a second bottle of the same dye for free (like a buy one get one free type deal). While I hate to complain about free stuff, the second bottle turned my hair orange. I really liked how my first coloring turned out, but I used the second bottle of what was supposedly the same color to dye my roots and it turned my hair BRIGHT orange. I read the trouble shooting articles about orange hair and if both bottles sent to me were the same shade then this wouldn't have happened. Anyways I ended up using the whole bottle on the rest of my head to try and at least get my roots to match my hair a little closer even if the color is orange .... It's slightly better but it's still orange. All in all loved the first coloring, hated the second coloring. Probably won't order again because I don't want to risk dying my hair orange and then damaging my hair trying to fix it. The color I paid for looked great. No different than store boughtI was very disappointed in the product I received, I've been using over the counter products for years that do not have ammonia in them. I tried the e-salon brand because of the reviews. My scalp felt like it was on fire the entire time and it did not cover my greys at my temples. They will override your choice with the picture you shareMy natural hair color is light brown. I go between adding red highlights in the fall and winter to adding carmel and blonde highlights in the spring and summer. I was going for carmel. Chose a color. They asked me to upload a picture I did. Unfortunately it was one take in the fall and so although I chose a blonde color they sent me red color. 3rd time correcting - my hair is greenI really had high Hope's. I started with level 10 and asked to put some color back in. They sent me a filler and dark blonde, once processed my hair had a reddish, greenish tinted. I called, customer service was fantastic btw, but it took a whole 7 days to get "corrective" color. TerribleI have been dying my own hair for years. I thought I would give this a try to see if it is any better than drugstore brands. My hair is medium brown and I lighten it to a light brown color. My only note to "my colorist" was "No red please". Well, I just finished dying my hair and it is now a medium brown auburn color. Too dark and a lot of red. Where’s my hair?I had ordered from eSalon about 2yrs ahí and cancelled my orders after using it three times. This year during this COVID-19 pandemic, I was browsing on my Facebook and happen to come across the product again, so I said “hey this seems like a good idea “, forgetting the reason why I cancelled it the first time. Wel I remember now. When I started using these hair colors, my hair started falling out and thinning. Now it’s happening again! Omg 😱 I can’t believe this! If you feel you have been losing significantly more than this, you may have had an allergic reaction. In the future, we recommend performing a skin allergy test 48 hours before each hair color application.
