Very Hard on the HairI have coloured my hair for eons and it always felt soft after. But after using my custom set, My hair was dry like straw and the colour was not any better than the professional colour I have used from Italy. HOWEVER, I did like that it came as a kit with everything i'd need including cap and gloves. But the applicator was good for me doing the entire head, and not just roots. So I mixed everything in a colour bowl and brushed the colour on like I usually do. I cancelled my subscription as my hair did not feel good at all after colouring and it should be soft and silky. Pretty disappointedWhen I came across this service I was super excited that maybe I didn’t have to frequent the salon to keep my color looking decent. The first order I received I followed the directions to the letter, but I left it on a little longer because it didn’t seem to be getting any lighter... when I was finished there was 0 change. I gave it another shot thinking maybe I did something wrong, but like the first order, the second yielded no results. I will say the customer service is great though. I was sent two identical color boxes...I was told by the hair stylist that I spoke with that one was for toning, and to use it first. Schöne Haarfarbe, aber...Ich muss sagen, dass die Haarfarbe wirklich sehr schön ist, dennoch werde ich zukünftig nicht mehr über eSalon bestellen. Die erste Bestellung kam schnell und ich hatte keine Probleme meinen grauen Haaransatz zu verstecken. Die nächsten 3 Bestellungen wurden mir zwar pünktlich vom Konto abgezogen, aber mit der Lieferung der Farbe war das leider nicht so. Mit jedem Monat musste ich ein paar Tage länger warten. Schlussendlich wurde dies mit der Corona-Krise begründet, aber auch da muss dann gehandelt werden. Great colour but 3 different shades!I got a slightly different colour made up and was also sent a complimentary end colour, but the colour i put on my roots is a different colour to the ends colour. the ends are quite red whereas the roots are a lighter brown and in spots, a dark copper colour. Not sure if i did something wrong or there was something wrong with the colour this time. Leaves hair in lovely condition.I wanted a colour to ‘blend’ in they grey - this colour certainly isn’t doing that! Very pretty colour. I started as a mid blond/grey and put my request in for the colour I wanted (ash) but the colourist thought it was too light so changed it to light brown (seems to be 90% mid brown and 10% chestnut) I’m now a dark chestnut! Hey-ho lesson learned, I’ll have the chop and stick to my £6 off the shelf color in future. AwfulTuned my dark roots which I was trying to lighten to match my blonde highlights on the end ginger so still have two different colours in my hair. Color did very little to cover graysAfter using the product, my gray roots now look very light brown instead of the color of the rest of my hair. It did not do very well in covering the gray. I followed all the steps also. I thought I could at least have my roots covered and feel better about my hair but it looks like I am going to have to make an appointment for my hair colorist as soon as they open. Wrong color and damaged hairI had asked for a light brown and specifically said that I didn't not want red undertones. Well my hair is red!! Which is what happens when the dye has red tones in it. Also, It dried out my hair and left me with breakage. So now I have to use product all the time or it looks like I have a frizz halo!! Will not be ordering again!! Very disappointed!! Probably NotAs it was said, “trust the process;” so I did. Followed my personal instructions to a “t.” Unfortunately the tone is on the lower end of the brassy spectrum. Did order the Tint Rinse with the color package, in case there was (a slim) chance I would need it. ...well, needed it. Haven’t seen much of a tone difference as of yet. Using a purple shampoo, then a purple tint rinse (been leaving on for 8-10 mins vs the suggested 3-5 mins) followed by a purple conditioner. Have done this routine twice since coloring two days ago. Planned to give it 10-14 days before making a decision. The order process, delivery and product packaging were all quality. Not what I expected, very disappointedBefore the pandemic I used to do all over blonde highlights with a cool undertone in a salon. Each visit was like $200-250. It’s very hard to keep up the blonde when the salons are closed so I bought an ammonia free box dye at Target and colored my hair in a dark blonde neutral shade. It actually turned out really nicely so I did it again about a month later. And then I started seeing all these ads about custom salon quality hair color services. So I decided to try esalon. I’ve chosen dark ash blonde shade and sent them a photo along with detailed description of my previous color and hair goals. The order was delayed by about 10 days but that was not a big deal. It arrived in a nice box and clear instructions. I have to say I read all the instructions and followed it to a t! Well, first of all, the ammonia smell was unbearable and I thought I’m going to collapse! When I washed and dried my hair I was so upset! I had orange brassy roots and the length was much lighter and warmer than what I expected. It was supposed to be a dark ash blonde! Well it was far from it. I had to research my options how to cover up this mess. I bought a color depositing deep conditioner in light brown and purple to counteract those brassy roots and cover light yellow blonde on the length. That was an additional $60 but it looks decent now. I wish I just bought one of those ammonia free natural box dyes and saved my hair from damage, disappointment and more expense. Pearl goldenMy colour went on really nicely with a pink glow to it. Since I had blonde on the mid and ends and my natural brown on my roots the colour didn't take well to my roots. This resulted in my roots being a dark blonde color and the mid and roots being dark blonde with a pink colouring to it. I had to get another colour from a friend who is a hairdresser to fix this as my hair was two colours. Overall So So...The color set is the same as the rest. I did not like the color I received because it was too dark. My overall experience was great because my husband colored my hair (although he did not like the overall dark hair color). He never would have helped if it were not for having to stay indoors. The color itself looked nice for black, but not my color. I normally go to Gene Juarez to get my hair colored, or touch up with a Semi-permanent. I thought this might be something I can do at home since going out is not possible at this time. I requested a color adjustment today. I actually logged on to cancel, but I’ll see what happens with my request. I received a second kit before I thought about making a color adjustment. Don’t plan on using. Bad Instructions, Bad ColorFirst attempt at home root color after years of salon visits. Carefully ordered color (dark brown with gold). Order info online specifically said to avoid applying to already colored ends because it would make them too dark. But then printed insert included with dye said that it was necessary to massage color through to ends for 3 minutes and that it was critical NOT to skip this step. Welp I paid a premium for custom color, I thought. Massaging through to ends must be a custom instruction too? Nope! I now have brown roots with jet black ends. Do not try this at home!Terrible service. I submitted photographs, completed questionnaire and wrote a note regarding color correction. The color formula I was sent was not even close to my hair color in my photographs. It turned my natural medium ash blond hair red. A second color correction was sent. This made my hair turn orange. Not the colour I wanted at all.The kit was nice and the instructions easy. I have naturally med brown hair. I ordered dark blonde which was one of the lightest shades esalon would allow. I followed the instruction and my hair looks the same except it has a red tinge to it. I do not like it at all. I especially don't like the red tint. Colour mixed into Grey toneI am Naturally dark blonde with mid light complexion, light freckles light blue eyes. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed in the color percentage combination on the chart, which After mixing color it turned grey, it did not go towards a light white color that I’m used to seeing before any of my blonde highlights color application - I had to take great pause to consider applying this mix to my hair. Especially taking an extreme risk that and did not want the finish color to look dark ashen grey. This was not what I was going for, the color mixed together gave my husband and I an uneasiness that would give a very less than attractive desired results.! Color was alll wrongI ordered what I thought was a medium blonde. The color was too dark. It has faded to a brassy red blonde. It looks terrible. The roots are white and the girl that cuts my hair said it was a "mess". It has dried out the ends and they are splitting. She cut about 2 inches off the length. She said she would have to strip the color before she could get a color that would work. I know this will further damage my hair. I need help. I have not cancelled the order just put date off. Don’t order if you are in CanadaThe company ships from California, so after a month I’m still waiting for the first shipment and they are about to charge me for the next one. Gray came through slightlyI'm not sure what happened I'm not sure if the chemistry of the mix wasn't strong enough for a lot of gray hair? Or I didn't leave it on long enough. My colorist messed up my colorLong story short, I ended up with brown roots and orange-pinkish ends. I looked like Johnny Depp in Alice in Wonderland. Great shine but more red than before and gray only gone for a weekI tried to get an ash color to remove the red from my hair. I also wanted to cover the gray. The color turned out a dark redWhen I selected the color I wanted I asked for Violet Tones. Then I selected Violet 6.25 which came as Light Brown (Pearl Mahogany). After I colored my hair following every instruction including time down to the minute, my hair came out dark red. I did not want my hair red. I wanted light brown hair with violet(purple) undertones. I have light skin with pink undertones, so the red hair color makes my skin look very flush all the time. I even purchased the website suggested Tint Rinse color purple, so that I could maintain the purple undertones. I have not used Tint Rinse yet I'm scared or what it would due to the red color.
