Awful experience!I'll admit up front that I have absolutely no talent for coloring hair and haven't done it myself in over 25 yrs. Prior to that I used to use a box dye from the drugstore. It wasn't great, but it never turned out as awful as the eSalon color did. I specifically requested an ash color with NO warm tones. What I ended up with was a horrible red-brown that turned an equally ugly lighter orange color as I washed it daily over the next 2 weeks. At that point I gave up and made an appt with my hairstylist. It took 5 hours for her to get *most* of the red/orange tones out. She's been doing my hair for almost 15 yrs and knows that I always want my hair to be very ashy/cool, regardless of whether I'm blonde or brunette. Wrong color againMy hair feels healthy and has shine! But once again they got the color wrong. I wanted medium brown, specified not golden and went from a natural, ashy light brown to COPPPER!!!! They sent another set in an effort to correct it. Started off great! Still had red tones but definitely more brown. It's been a few weeks now and I'm slowly going back to this awful copper they turned it. Super disappointed in that and that the color fades so quickly. Definitely do not recommend for gray hairs. Color barely changedI have the darkest brown hair and wanted to make my hair color lighter to the medium brown. Unfortunately, after the following the instructions exactly as is, my hair color barely changed. It is only very slightly lighter than my original color and you can only see it in the light. People don't even know I dyed my hair. I am quite disappointed with the color result. boxed dye redI am canceling my subscription. I was very worried about dying my own hair so I made sure to follow the instructions TO THE LETTER. I ended up with nothing better than boxed dye red hair. Everytime the light hit my hair I had deep red roots just like I was back dying my hair in high school from drug store boxed dyes. New Manufacturer of E-salon color is Horrible!.Unfortunately the new manufacturing process of Esalon color is no longer the same, my October 2020 order for Demi-Permanent color was not the same color, nor smell (much stronger chemical), texture very different (thicker so thick it barely covered my roots for touch up correctly on my longer hair), product changed my color and it had more chemicals in it which does not do well on fine hair and it dried my hair follicle so bad it was frizzy/nappy. My mom is a retired cosmetologist and still knows about the beauty industry and she noticed it right away when she was applying to my hair. It was so dry n frizzy we did a deep moisturizing treatment 3 days after color to calm the hair follicle. I don't know why they decided to change manufacture but its horrible and the company needs to go back to the orginal manufacturer because this is a wonderful company n concept! BlahThis color is a dull mousy brown with a terrible golden/brassy undertone. I thought I had canceled all future orders, until they took the money out of my account this morning. For the LOVE OF GOD, please do not send me that awful color again! I wanted a deep rich color, not this orangey brownish color. I'd rather go to the salon!I ordered a dark copper color to cover my grey, my highlights and be somewhat of a decent match to same level of darkness as my natural hair color. My order was changed because the personal colorist thought it would be too dark for me. They sent me the light copper which, unfortunately, did not cover my highlights and is far more brown than my natural color. My haircolorLast shipment color I rinsed the color out it did not cover my grays at all it was a total waste of my money. I am very disappointed . Afraid that the box I have coming is not going to cover my grays again . Washed out very quickThe colour was beautiful when it first went on, couldn't get it to rinse clear but not surprised as it was a red colour. After 1 wash my ends were pink and very faded, not sure if the end colour was a semi permanent instead or a permanent but it didn't last long. Strong chemical smell and not enough coverageI normally use another company but thought I’d try e-salon. My initial thought was great shipping Speed and good value. overall I am not satisfied with product. I had to run the fan in my bathroom and have the window open (freeze along the way since it’s winter and cold). I almost couldn’t finish applying color because my eyes burned sooo bad! The fumes were horrible and you would have thought I was applying it to my eyes! After all that, my color didn’t even match even though all I wanted was a dark brown. It’s more of a reddish brown so 1. You can see difference in roots and my normal color. 2. It did not cover my gray roots like other product have. 3. Not what I expectedI am very disappointed in my color. I ordered a dark "blonde" and what I got was an Auburn brown. When I colored my hair I wanted to cry from the results. Still grayUpdate: I am now leaving it on for much longer and it is working better. It still doesn't cover as great as I would like, but it doesn't wash out as fast as store brands. Dangerous!Do not use this if you have even mild sensitivities to ammonia. I've used many ammonia color products but this about knocked me out from the smell. About 6 hours after I colored my hair (and washed it out) my scalp was ON FIRE! I'm lucky I still have hair. The two-bottle system DID NOT work for me. I now have two tones of hair. Top and bottom. I don’t recommendThis was way too complicated a process that took more than double the time of my regular hair color routine, and my roots and ends came out different colors! The kit should include at least two more sets of gloves for how often you have to stop, set a timer, and then keep going. Very disappointed. Going back to my tried and true brand. Not "Custom Made"I wasn't happy at all with my recent hair color that i received. It was not the shade that I ordered and now I have red hair. I had originally ordered the light brown hair color which is also close to my natural hair color. I received the blonde color which defeated the purpose of why I was dying my hair since I was wanting to get rid of the blonde or at least cover it up. I don't understand the reasoning behind changing my chosen shade when it wasn't several shades away from where I was currently. I now have red hair which I really don't think would have been the end result if I had just received what I ordered in the first place. It also seemed like I had specified that i had gray in my hair which I have none and i specified that I did not have any as well. The hair color choice has no reasoning behind it and I definitely don't feel that it was anything close to "custom made" for me even though I answered all the questions correctly and truthfully. Waste of time and money- not right colorI did color exactly how directions said. My hair barely looks different..it barely even lightened it except on top and it is just a little bit lighter shade of copper—not barely noticeable and definitely NOT dark blonde!!! If anything it took what blonde natural highlights I had out of my hair... I am not happy at all! So disappointing!I ordered my color for my Christmas present. Was super excited to get it, the packaging was so awesome but the product was disappointing. Was suppose to be red, I got a few pink streaks. Looked like I colored my hair with kool-aid!! Went to Walgreens and grabbed some box color to cover up the pink, the box color turned out 100% better than my custom color. color didn't lastMy previous order was good and the color lasted until I could go to my colorist in person> This was last April I think. Not so greatMy hair is thick and curly. 3a, 3b. I have a copper dye (medium blonde). I didn’t get it colored evenly. The part around the roots is not good. The color itself is good, not too crazy but I had a very hard time sectioning and coloring it. Also this stuff stinks to high heaven. If I could id wear googles and a gas mask to apply it. I like my Color & Product but terrible Customer ServicesFinally I got the color I have been calling for. The hair color stylist there should be fired! Each time I call she tells me what my real hair color is and will not change the color and what happens to my hair if i lighten it. She is horrible and I want to change to someone else. At this point I am considering closing my account due to customer services and poor delivery of the item. I got my hair color kit in the mail so late and I had to call to find out why it has not been delivered this month. It finally came very late. Just okI have bought this product 4 times now. The first time I did it I still had some grey hairs showing so the second and third purchases they adjusted the product just for grey hair. I did the same technique the fourth time last week and it didn't cover up my grey hair again. Not sure why this is if I've been following the instructions the same each time. This is so hard to put on!I have never had a harder time doing my hair than with this stuff. You have to do the roots first, then the ends, then rinse and rinse, then shampoo and rinse and then condition and rinse some more. I had color and water all over the kitchen. I usually take a bath after I put on the color and then rinse the color out after I soak for awhile. I couldn't do that because the instructions limit you to exact times and expressly tell you to rinse it out in the shower, so I had to use the kitchen sprayer. What a mess! It tangled my hair so badly that I had to rip huge knots out of the ends of my hair. I hope it didn't entirely damage my hair. It's still wrapped up in a towel while I vent my rage over this terrible product. I have more of this crap, so at least it will be enough for 2 months. Whatever happened to easy in and out? Not enough dyeI went with the color that was suggested for me, knowing id end up going dark on my next shipment, i was ok with trying this then if i wanted dark i could go darker bc once you go dark its harder to lighten up, however, there was not enough dye to cover my whole head, i tried so hard spreading whatever i could, but i have ALOT of highlight patches, and the color is more orangey then brown with a hint of red , im guessing bc of the mahogany in the new color. So my hair is now 3 different colors. Don't like new formulaUnfortunately I did not care for the new demi perm formula. The gray coverage was not good like previous shipments and I thought it was way too thick and hard to rinse. My skin also had a stinging sensation, wherever it touched....like all over my shoulders since it touched there when rinsing. It just was not a good experience this time. Also bottle #2 was not sealed and leaked everywhere during shipping, so I had to do my whole head with #1 and I didn't like how the color came out, not to mention there wasn't enough. Gray hairWhile the quality of the product is better than regular color box, when it comes to gray hair it doesn't really cover it as expected. This is my second application and the color on the grays was less effective than the first time. I still like the color it turns out in the rest, but not sure if I will continue since it doesn't cover my grays and I have plenty. My whole head is gray/white roots, and they show back up pretty fast. Disappointed expectationsI was not convinced, I almost poisoned with the strong smell of ammonia that the product gives off. I had to open the window completely in the middle of winter to be able to finish applying the color to my hair because I was not breathing. I asked for a certain color to change my natural color and I got a different one from the one requested, darker and not at all corresponding to my request (I wanted an ash blonde without reddish reflections). Didn't work like it normally doesthis is my 3rd shipment of hair product and sadly this time was a fail for me. i have dark brown hair and bright white roots. this time it turned my roots a yellowish color and even at that the gray was back in 2 weeks. Gray coverageI live your product as it leaves my hair shiny abs soft. It’s just the color is not taking like I had hoped it would. The roots are still too light. I leave it on as you said. My gray must be very persistent in not covering completely. I think leaving the gold out might help. I don’t want dark brown as medium I think it okay and the little bit of mahogany gives it about the right reddish hue. Subtle color Bad ReactionThe color itself was ok. I thought there would be more purple tint. But there’s not. More reddish than anything. I also had a reaction that I didn’t know was possible. My entire scalp created a rash that itches like crazy. No matter what I tried it wouldn’t help. Did not cover my greys at all this time.Not sure what was different this time but did not work at all. I still have all of my grey roots. I followed the instructions exactly, as I always do. The developer seemed a lot thicker this time...not sure if that was the issue. Really disappointed. Don’t know if I will order this again after this experience. Tried the color It wasn't exactly what I wantedThe color came out darker and more red than I expected and wanted. Then within two weeks it turned lighter and more red orange which wasn't the overall look I was going for. I am pale with pink in my skin so it just made my face look more pale. I really wanted to give it a second chance, so they did make my color lighter and changed my directions to help with better gray coverage. But still it only lasted 2 weeks before the color washed off my gray roots and you could see grays when I put my hair up underneath thru out my whole head. So needless to say after the salon where I used to go reopened, I went back to my favorite colorist/stylist and got a different color customed made by her and loved it! and even though its darker than I had my hair before the gray coverage by my colorist in the salon lasts almost 8 weeks! 0 de 0 personas encontraron este comentario útil. ¿Y tú? |

Color too dark and hair unmanageableThe color that was sent was too dark making my hair (auburn) look too dark. It looks more Brown than red and all of my natural red is now gone . Additionally I had a very hard time getting a comb through my hair in the shower after using the included shampoo and conditioner. I had to use a ridiculously large amount of my own conditioner in order to just get a comb through my hair to get through the knots, pulling out hair in the process. I was expecting a much better result and I am very disappointed. I have been coloring my own hair here at home using over the counter ,easily.accessible products and have not had this experience using them. ColorHi, this is the third time I ordered and used the color. While everything is so organized with well written instructions, my experience with covering greys hasn’t been that great. I have greys mostly on front hair line and although I applied throughly per instructions it didn’t do it for me. this is the 2nd time it happened out of 3 times ordered. Like the productI like the product but I am still struggling to find the correct color. I have worked with 3 different hair colorists but the color is still not exactly what I want.
