Change hair color.I want to you know that the hair color that I chose was dark in my hair. Didn’t work well in my hair. I think I’ll go for a lighter color for my hair. I took long to apply the hair color, because of COVID-19 my hairdresser’s business was close. Now the business is open. I told my hairdresser to do new hair cut for me. Now my hair is shorter. Color Improvements a Dud!Hello Esalon Just wanted to give some feedback on my most recent color experience with you! As you know I've been coloring my hair with your kits for a couple years now. My husband puts the color on for me and commented this time that it was kinda gooey. He said it didn't mix well and I thought maybe the heat during the shipping made it that way? I live in AZ. It arrived on the 10JUL and I got my mail each day. Just FYI. I kinda didn't pay much attention until I got in the shower to fill the container with water and lather it up in my hair. I looked in container and it was all gray and stuck in the container. It didn't mix up well with the water but I applied it anyway. Finished the rinse after lathering up for 2 min. Afterwards I looked in container again. It was all stuck in container at bottom and on sides. Not the typical caramel in color but a gray matter color. My hair isn't green or anything but not sure I like your improvements. I did take pictures of the bottom of bottle and on outside and you can see it in my pictures. I have been a satisfied customer for awhile but not sure it will continue with this product enhancement you supposedly made. Thanks and Hope to hear back from your team. poor customer serviceI'm writing this review on the customer service experience I had with esalon. I'm actually upset not to be able to use their products as they were very nice. I ordered my first product in May and was so happy with the results I signed up for the automatic plan. I received an email that my color was shipped June 17th & would receive updated shipping info 1-3 days later. When I did not, I reached out and was told "We are working very hard to ensure your order arrives as quickly and safely as possible. Due to a high volume of orders, carriers are experiencing difficulties updating their tracking information. We can confirm your order has been shipped on June 17, and should be delivered by July 1 latest. But please rest assured, your order can very well arrive anytime now. Unfortunately, delivery times are beyond our control as our carriers operate independently." I received an email June 30 asking "have you received your order." I found this odd since I was told July 1. As suggested by the email, I contacted customer service via the 1800 number. The woman was unapologetic after finding the last movement on my order was June 25th. So I said, I think I need to cancel my order. At this point she said ok, said I would receive an email and hung up. The email was minus the shipping - for an item I did not receive. So, I once again wrote customer service and explained the situation. Their response was, "Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately we do not refund for shipping you can see our return policy here.." When I explained I never received the product and would be forced to dispute with my CC and leave a review - he replied, "Thank you for your reply. Please proceed how you feel necessary." Hot roots!Since the salons are closed I thought I would try to do cover my grays that are coming in. I get my hair dyed my natural medium brown color. When it grows out you can only see the new grays because my stylist matches my color so, so perfectly. I worried that the eSalon color might come out too dark, if anything, but I wanted to get rid of my grays. I followed the instructions and I ended up with hot roots. I have an inch of light copper brown roots and don’t get it. You get can get hot roots when lightning your hair. I had them once when using box dye to lighten my hair years ago but I am not lighting my hair these days. I sent in a picture and detailed message. I turned off my subscription and they haven’t responded yet and if they do, I won’t accept a new formula to fix my hair. I’m sure there are happy customers who ended up loving their color, but I am not one of them. I will have to wait for my stylist to open up and she is will probably want to wring my neck. On a positive note, the color is shiny and my hair doesn’t feel like straw as some of the other reviews stated. Update: To the response team: No, nobody ever contacted me, the color expert didn’t ever reach out. I immediately sent in a ‘after’ picture and message and nobody contacted me. I turned off my subscription and that was that. Didn't seem to work very wellI chose medium blonde, which seemed very accurate for my hair color, and copper tones, which I've always wanted to try. Naja, habe aufgrund der Werbung mehr erwartetHabe die Coloration getestet. Toll ist dass die Menge wirklich gut ausreicht selbst für mein sehr dickes/volles Haar. Ebenfalls bleibt an dem Set kein Wunsch offen, 2 Paar Handschuhe, 1 Pinsel, Anti Flecken Creme und Fleckentferner falls doch was daneben geht, Shampoo und Conditioner. Soweit alles toll. Großes Minus mache ich bei der Grauabdeckung. Obwohl ich die Farbe 10 Minuten länger als empfohlen angewendet habe, hat es die grauen Haare nicht komplett abgedeckt. Leider. Aaack!I was so excited to get this shipment. I waited until I had sufficient time so I wouldn't need to rush. Loved the instructions and the sticker to post them on the mirror (and then in the shower). I appreciated the stain protector and wipe for afterwards (I didn't use the latter). I thought the color would be great.................but it's not! The grays around my face are still there, although maybe a little less noticeable and even though I was super diligent about applying the root color in the back, it's still a dark brown..........and the red is what many OTC kits refer to as Copper Penny! It's hideous and I hate it. The overall color coverage is only meh......and I followed the instructions to the letter. Needless to say, I'm very disappointed and probably won't purchase this again. Shipping date is not accurateI am new using this company. I used to pay a lot of money on hair salons so when I heard and researched esalon I gave them a try. My first order came perfect and I have to say I really love it. After receiving my first order I scheduled my plan with shipping date June 1st. Since I didn't heard nothing about shipping status I sent an email and the response was that shipment takes 7-10 days, they charged my credit card on June 1st, but I need to wait almost 2 weeks for my order. I color my roots every 4 weeks and I was expecting to receive my order on time (like 3 days after my shipping date) but that would not happen. My roots are due for color and I am so dissapointed with this company. If I had known this, I would have scheduled an earlier shipping date. Good color but not what I wantedHair colors are good. I started with brown without the cooper look. I got great results then I wanted to go light brown to dirty blonde but got a cooper looking reddish instead. application brushI am happy with the color. Coverage of my gray roots is effective and I think the color is nice. However, I did not receive an application brush with my last purchase, despite providing feedback indicating that I use the brush with the bottle to apply the color. More gray coverageI would first recommend ordering your color a couple weeks before you want to color your hair. It took longer than expected getting my color. The root coverage I would give it a fair as I still had grey showing after I was done coloring my hair. The root color was not close to what I wanted. The rest of the hair color was a nice color and I am happy with that. Didn’t get what I wantedI was really excited to try out eSalon during the quarantine. I have been wanting to lighten my hair, but scared to do something dramatic. I thought using a dye might do the trick to lighten my hair one or two shades (natural dark brown hair). I honestly don’t know what I’m doing, and always prefer to go to a professional. I thought eSalon would do for now since they do a custom color, look at your pictures, and “listen” to what you want. The quiz was great, along with their customer service. The process of dying my hair was easy, and I followed the directions to the T. They say that the directions are tailored to your needs, but that wasn’t the case for me. My roots lightened but everything else stayed exactly the same. My directions were for somebody that had gray hair (I have none), which I thought was strange at first, but because their website said that the directions are specific to each customer, I thought I should follow them. In my comment when submitting the order, I specifically said I had no experience in haircolor and would appreciate their input in what I wanted to accomplish with my hair. Delayed transactionWhen first time ordering and receiving a suggested color, I disliked it. I requested my initial color which supposed to receive with no charge. rashThis is the second time I have used the color and the results are amazing. Great coverage and color , however this time I did not do any allergy test and i broke out in a horrible weltlike blisters on my neck hair line. This was 48 hours after application. 2 Anwendungen mit Esalon Farbe leider nicht zufriedenstellendIch bin sehr gut zu Recht gekommen mit der Anwendung und dem Produkt. Das Farbergebnis auf den Ansätzen hat mir direkt sehr gut gefallen. Meine Haare waren vorher gesträhnt. Leider haben meine Längen und Spitzen die Farbe nicht angenommen. Hatte mich auf gewundert, das in der Anleitung für eine erste Anwendung Längen und Spitzen nur 3 Minuten einwirken sollen. Nach einem Telefonat mit einem Coloristen bekam ich in kurzer Zeit erneut das Produkt zum nachfärben zugesendet. Allerdings stand in der Anleitung wieder bloss eine Einwirkzeit von 3 Minuten auf Längen und Spitzen. Ich habe diese dann eigenständig auf 30 Minuten geändert. Leider ist das Ergebnis unverändert. Der Ansatz ist goldblond die Längen kühle Strähnen. Da ich sehr viele Haare habe hatte ich auch wirklich sehr wenig Produkt über für Längen und Spitzen. Schade das es nicht funktioniert. Horrible experience, poor customer service, and a total scamSo I'm pretty experienced at dying my own hair I saw an ad for eSalon I figured it couldn't be riskier then boxed dye so I gave it a shot. My hair is naturally light brown/dark blonde and I hadn't dyed my hair in a LONG time so that was the shade I was at when this adventure started. I selected my desired shade as a light to medium cool blonde. Things arrived in a timely manner. I followed the directions to the letter. My hair was minimally lightened (maybe by one shade) and SUPER brassy. Considering I indicated I wanted a cool blonde, this was unacceptable. I notified esalon and they responded by giving me a credit for my next color and sending me a toner to help with the brassiness. I have never had this happen with a toner before but it didn't just decrease the brassiness but it also darkened the overall shade of my hair. So now my hair is more or less back to its natural color except with lingering brassy undertones (which I still hate). When it was time for my next color shipment I uploaded new pictures of my hair so they could see the current shade and indicated I wanted the color to be lighter and cooler (like the color I had originally selected). In the comments section I outlined the whole situation up to this point including the lingering brassiness and the darkening effects of the toner. After my new color was formulated and it was too late to cancel it I get an email from my "stylist" stating that the color can't be lightened because color can't lift color (duh) but if I want my hair lighter I would be a "great candidate" for their lightening set and that I could purchase that from their website. A step backI messaged the stylist to let them know I was looking for ash brown hair. I have previously lightened hair all over, and i was worried about it not being ashy. She said she would have my do a colorfill, and then apply a Demi permanent color on top. The color fill was golden, but the second color (medium brown) that I applied just emphasized all the of RED tones. So much work was done to get my hair light enough so that it could be ashy. And untilamtely I ended up with what I had before I lighted my hair!! Orange hair that looks kinda brown in certain lighting, but straight up orange in natural light. Medium blonde roots turned orange.I'm so glad I did a test strand. I have naturally medium blonde roots. I ordered a neutral light blond colour. So I took a test strand, as I'm super nervous as I always get my hair done at a salon. But with the times being what they are...I thought I'd give it a try. So, I mixed the colour and developer as instructed for a test strand. Waited the 30 mins then put the extra through to ends and waited 2 more mins. Then rinsed, then shampooed and dried using a hair dryer and voila orange roots on the test strand. Soooooo glad I did a test strand. Not doing my whole head. You'd think the stylist who mixed my product would have accounted for this. Not happy at all. Money completely wasted. Just thrown product in the garbage. Complete Disappointment.Been a while since I’ve colored my hair, but before I let it go natural, I always used regular red colored boxed hair dye straight from the drug store. Never had any issues color wise. After noticing a few grays, I decided to go back to red. Found E Salon and decided I’d give it a go. I answered the initial questions, picked my desired color, waited TWO WEEKS for my order to get here, then followed the application directions perfectly. When I glanced at my “color blend”, I immediately had doubts because I noticed the blend was mostly “light brown”, when I definitely picked a “red” desired shade. But I spent the next hour and a half dyeing, rinsing, drying and styling anyway. Completely dissatisfied. Totally disappointed. Easy application but my hair looks the same!I have light medium brown hair and ordered the medium ash brown because it seemed fairly dark in the photo. I applied the colour and left it on as directed, but it looked exactly the same afterward. The product itself comes in great packaging and is easy to use. Made my hair fall out!!!I used this product consistently every 8 - 10 weeks and loved the color and what the color faded into as well. That is why I used it for THREE years! Then I discovered chunks of new growth hair! I had thought it seemed in lost an excessive amount of hair with every coloring and now I had proof! I am on no medications and have no hormone imbalances. This color treatment caused hair loss! I haven't colored my hair for 13 months now and am still dealing with new growth hair. So annoying.... if you've ever had a baby you know what I'm talking about; that stage when all the hair grows back that you lost durong pregnancy. Die Anwendung ist wie bei allen anderen gekauften Produkten auch, kein Unterschied. Was mir nun so ganz und gar nicht gefällt, ist das Ergebnis, es ist meilenweit von meiner Wunschfarbe entfernt. Meine Ursprungafarbe ist dunkelblond mit viel grau, überspielt mit hellen Strähnen. Das war ganz okay, warum ich jetzt aussehe wie unser Hund, weiß ich leider nicht🙈Es ist so eine Mischung aus braun und rot und das ist etwas, was ich überhaupt nicht mag und auch nicht wollte. My hair feels dried outI colored my hair 10 days ago and the color is lighter than I expected and my hair felt like straw after I did it. He I am 10 days later using my color care hydrating hair products and while it's not as dry it's still feeling very processed. Not the color I wanted at all:’(I really was so excited to try out this dye!! I’ve been using box dye, and I like the color of the one I’ve been using, but I don’t like the damage and I feel like it doesn’t last as long. I thought this would give me better results. I followed all of the instructions completely, but I’ve spent my whole morning in tears because my hair looks nothing at all like what I expected. I wanted a cool toned auburn shade, but instead I got a fiery red shade with brownish roots. I really really hate the way I look, and I don’t know how or why I got this color when it was not at all what I chose. Easy Process, but my hair didn’t take the colorThe process and instructions are amazing!! Definitely easy to follow and it’s fool proof. I just unfortunately have super dark hair, so there was just no difference in the color at all. I knew there was a risk with the purple undertones, but I was hoping they’d show a little in the sun and unfortunately it’s just dark brown. Dark blond unfortunately turned orangeThere are so many great things about this company and wish i could give 5stars to eSalon. After following directions precisely with both a custom color and an eSalon highlight /light set, my dark blond hair turned nearly orange. I called eSalon and received polite and professional help over the phone listening to my problem, as well as quick action on their part sending out a toner rinse via Fedex; however obviously that couldn't really correct the damage that had been done. I wore a baseball cap for a week, used the toning rinse that eSalon sent right away but it made little if any change to damaged orange hair. I ultimately went to a salon and had a color correction done for over $100 :(. I learned a lot from this experience: that in my case (speaking for myself only), mail order color just is too risky for my highlighted/lowlighted dark blond hair with grey peeking through. HighlightsI have very thin hair, as do most natural blonds, I followed the directions provided and ended up with all of my hair on the outside highlighted. I had explained to my 1st colorist my highly rated, as one of the best colorist in San Francisco always used a cap to pull my hair through. He moved to Hawaii😥. For some reason my colorists changed with esalon and the info was not passed on. My instructions were to use a brush, with 3 1" pieces highlighted on each side! That was a lot of my hair! I trusted they knew what they were doing with the instructions delivered. I have recieved another box of color and am afraid to use it. Disappointed by product and not happy I had to wait for order.I followed the company's instructions, except I left the hair dye on for more than 30 minutes, because it was not coloring the grey roots. The roots and 2" down turned a light golden to a white. Grey I guess was gone. I normally dont use the shampoo or conditioner, because a career hair salon person told me it strips the hair of color, when you use it and guarantees the company you purchased it from to stay in business when you have to buy more. But your cleaning hair products were awesome!! It made my hair so soft. I might order that shampoo and condition in the future, but cancel any coloring. Meh...It was ok. I told the stylist that I did not want a coppery blonde color. I told her I was afraid of my hair turnung brassy. I even told her if she thought any of those things would happen that I would prefer to go darker instead. She assured me it wouldn't, but it did. My hair was a copper blonde. I even spend the extra money on the neutralizing treatment . It was fine. It covered up most of the grey starting to peek through and had I had a different color my experience might have been better. It was easy enough to do myself but I will not be ordering again. Incredibly dryingI have never had any color--salon, box, or Sally's brands---dry my hair out the way the eSalon color did. It was like straw after coloring it. I followed the instructions precisely, and conditioned it well after. The color looked okay, had dimension, but was warmer than I had requested. My hairstylist couldn't believe the condition of my hair---I've been seeing her for years, and she had never seen it so dried out. I also didn't hear back from my eSalon stylist when I messaged her about my color, prior to it being shipped. I wanted cool blonde. Mix was a bit offI absolutely love the way the hair color makes my hair feel. It feels super healthy, looks shiny and I love that aspect. That being said the initial color swatch I clicked on said violet and there was no violet in my initial mix. Lots of mahogany though, and my hair takes to red really easily so it’s very red. My stylist consulted with me and we altered the color a bit so it has some violet undertones now but it’s still way too red. After a few washes, after my second batch of color, a lot of the violet undertones have disappeared and we’re back to the mahogany. Extremely dry, brassyI’ve been use eSalon for over 2 years and have always been satisfied. I’ve noticed the last two times I’ve dyed my hair how dry and brassy it becomes. I dyed my hair almost a week after I received my last shipment. I noticed right away my hair was really dry. 4 weeks later and it’s really brassy red. I’m normally very satisfied with my hair color but my hair feels like straw and I’m not using anything different on my hair to make it so. Great at first, but...I had been dying my hair blonde for years and was getting tired of seeing too much red near my roots that contrasted my length which had no red. I decided that it was time to go darker to try and get rid of the red and get my hair closer to its natural color. I was super psyched with the results after coloring my hair with eSalons light/medium ash brown. Not all, but most of the red in my hair was neutralized and it was a super flattering soft shade of ash brown. After less than two weeks, however, most of the color has washed completely out of my hair exposing more red in my roots. I think the most disappointing thing is seeing the length of my hair lose most of the new color and reverting back to its previous blonde color. Keep in mind that I only wash my hair every three days or so using a good brand of shampoo/conditioner that's sulfate-free and specifically for color-treated hair. Not only that, but I also use eSalon's Tint Rinse two times a week as well as their Universal Leave-In every time I wash my hair, and their Weekly Retreat once a week. I also don't use any sort of styling product in my hair. Think your product is good but. . .I liked this product from the start. My hair was soft and silky after I colored it. It didn't work for me or there was not a clear communication about how I wanted it colored. It covered the gray, but The roots were always black and the lengths were a nice maroon red. I kept asking for it all to turn out the reddish color, but it never did. I tried to color my hair four times with the product, calling and talking to a consultant each time to see if we could adjust the root color. Now I have my daughter's wedding and I really want to have my hair all the same color. I will need to go to a salon (which I didn't want to do). Issues w covering grey hairHi thanks for your time reworking my custom color. Grey coverage an issue for me not sure if I need to be a shade lighter ? Typically color my hair “golden blonde” as most of my head is grey- this sides and my part are very noticeable between coloring. Only dyed it yesterdayMy hair is long & black there was enough dye which was amazing usually I have to buy 2 , loved the 2 pairs of gloves the brush the barrier cream and the wipe for removing dye , it’s too early to tell if the grey roots will appear after a week as my old dye never seemed to stick to the grey my hair feels good , I’m happy with the results I will review it in a week & get back to you if my roots are still good.... 2 weeks on my grey roots are showing the colour seems to have come off the grey rather disappointed the price would buy me 4 boxes of my original sorry loved everything that came but for me it hasn’t worked out 0 de 0 personas encontraron este comentario útil. ¿Y tú? |

Please Don't!I have never wrote a review this bad, but this is worth it! This product made my hair super staticy, and a weird color at the roots, and they say 100% satisfaction guaranteed, but they just want to give you a credit, to do it again! Hell No! Much better than store boughtThis product is awesome. I do need to tweak my color a bit as it came out too black red. I was looking for a dark brown Auburn burgundy red. It's kind of like it processed on my head but the mixture didn't mix well together, so I have some red spots and some black spots. I'll keep at it though. I've gone over a month and didn't need to use the root touch up. My grays are just now peeping out. Color wasn’t was I expectedI had picked a blonde color. I had let my red hair color fade to hopefully aid in the change. I couldn’t wait to receive my package. I colored my hair and it’s more red and darker than I had started. The goal was to end up with a blonder lighter color for summer. Easy to use but with my second wash my hair has faded a lotIf you talked to be this morning I would have given this product 5 stars however I have sinced washed my hair and the color faded a lot. In fact it’s a completely different color. The packaging is adorable and super easy to use. I have done my own hair in the past so dyeing it myself isn’t new to me. I was super excited to get the packaging. The small details like my name on the bottle,made this a cool experience. Very easy to follow instructions that I followed and I got the most beautiful hair color. Received many compliments, I dyed it on Friday and washed my hair today the first official time since I dyed my hair. I used color friendly shampoo and the tint I order. But when I went to blow dry my hair the color looked like it washed out now its faded out. No longer a rich mahogany copper. I’m super bummed. Not impressedI applied my haircolor step by step as directed. I even called to make sure about my application before I started. It took much longer than my normal color. I might as well have bought my usual drugstore color. I was expecting a wow change. It looks no different than it did before I colored. Dark brown. No red to it. Buy it again? It was lovely but not what I was looking forThe product was lovely. A little excessive in the packaging but I appreciated all the info. The shampoo and conditioner were wonderful. I left the dye product in for an extra length of time (having experience with my hair being hard to color). I wanted something subtle but at least noticeable. I got a lovely darker shade of my own color - no purple or rose violet in sight. GreenMy hair is GREEN!!!! I’ve been coloring my hair for more than 15 years, and never has my hair looked so horrible. My hair as getting older has a tendency to be slightly reddish. I asked for a color to tone down and get rid of any gold/reddish. Instead I got more red and streaks of greenish/black! New AdventureI was so excited to recieve my hair color kit and it came so fast. It was packaged so nicely with personalized labeling that added a special touch. The kit was easy to use with simple instructions but the dye scent almost knocked me out. ColorGray is covered well, but the color on the gray lightens up really quickly and ends up being about a shade lighter then what's pictured. The parts of my hair that were colored (highlights & lowlights) in the salon stay pretty close to the color represented in eSalon's picture of 'dark blond.' Not for stubborn greys...My initial notes to the colorist made it clear I did not want any red tones but my first formulation came out very pink. My greys were tinited a glowing pink color. They tried twice to fix it however, each time it came out reddish and fell out of my greys within a few days. I ended up using a grocery store box color and achieved the cool tones and grey coverage.
