The color is absolutely perfectI love the product; esalon colorists have matched my "before-gray" beautifully. But the instructions leave a lot to be desired. No reason is given for different instructions--apparently I'm supposed to spend $20 to color just my roots, now that I've been using esalon for a year. Nice colorI really like my color and it is easy to change when I want a bit more red or want to go more brunette. My only complaint is that it is so difficult to get off of the scalp. Easy to work with - phenomenal resultsI am not a hair person! I just don't know how to do all that stuff but I'm telling you this was almost as easy as washing your hair, the results though were well beyond what I had ever expected, my Daughter who does know what she's doing had dyed my hair red I didn't want to do the upkeep of it so wanted to go back brown, well I've done this before at the salon and it's never easy because they can't take you from red back to brown in one process. Well shame on them because eSalon took me there no problem! I have a lot of grey now that I did not have then as well. I recommend this very much. Nothing like the colour requested!Followed the instructions step by step and sent in a photo and description of my desired colour which was an auburn. I specifically said I do not want it red. Great coverage. Poor hair conditionI’ve used box dye for years and thought I’d try esalon. Since using it my hair is in poor condition. Now my hair is knotty, tangles easily and my curl clumps are no longer fat and juicy. I’ve tried deep conditioning and a protein treatment with minimal results. This dye is the only new product in my routine. The coverage is amazing and, although darker than I expected, the colour is great. Felt like a semi-permanent dyeI’m on the phone to customer services trying to order a new hair dye as my greys came through about 2 weeks ago. I’m going to an important work meeting and wanted my hair to look nice and have tried calling customer services at 2.55pm. However after 5 minutes being on hold the call dropped and said the offices were closed. This is not good customer service, as I’ve specifically left work early to call someone to discuss this matter urgently!! Terrible customer serviceThe product is good and very good quality. But their cusromer service is terrible, they ignore my email and no response at all. I ordered once and unfortunately the color didn't work out. It was my mistake because I forgot to cancel, however not even a heads up from them that the renewal was coming up. Root color very far off. Over all color loos awful after 5 washesI would not recommend anyone do this color. For one it isn’t permanent. It’s supposed to last 25-28 washes. Last Color MailedI was very surprised to get it because I didn’t remember paying for it. I’m in transition of moving into a new place and starting a new job so if I am listed as a reoccurring payment, could you please put it on pause. Saying that I assumed the color was the color. I thought I had picked, but once I put it on, it was more in the red tones and this type of red tone I’m not fond of. I recently found online a color that’s in the pinkish family because my complexion and my eyes fit the red/pink family, but I’m still in the process of figuring out which one fits me the best that I can make a permanent ongoing color moving forward. Saying that you guys don’t have this color on your site. But your product is amazing and everything that you do for new people that are coloring their hair at home is amazing. Not what I expectedThe instructions were very unclear. they said roots only, however the colour was so different from my natural colour I decided to ignore this and apply to roots first, leaving for half the time and then spreading onto the rest of my hair and leaving for the remainder. glad I did as the colour was much darker than I expected and would have been ridiculous if just used on my roots. I had chosen perminent colour but wanted to still be able to see the variations in my hair (I had a lot of grown out roots but my ends were several colours from highlights) I hoped it would be darker at the roots but would then show varing shades throughout the rest of my hair, instead the result was just all dark and a block colour all over. I wouldn't mind but it was £27 and i would have gotten the same effect from a £8 box dye. my hair has been frizzy since I died it even though it has been 10 months since I last dyed my hair in the salon (bleach free highlights) so my hair was in pretty good condition before. The texture of my curls has also changed and they had dropped out a bit. After about 5-6 washes it is starting to look better than it did. Left on too long?The instructions caused my stylist to leave the color on for what I believe is an extra 15 minutes. She paused after the first 15 minutes to work on another customer, left my color on for 15 minutes, then mixed the developer and put the color on for another 15 minutes. I read the instructions to mean NO additional 15 minutes in the middle: 20 minutes for the first bottle, which included 5 minutes to mix the second bottle with its developer, and then immediate application of the second bottle for 15 minutes. Inconsistent mixture and resultsThe colorist does not seem to be able to follow the proportion to mix my color and I am getting poor results. She either mixes it incorrectly and it does not take properly (too light and grey showing through) or i get really incorrect tint results. I currently have bright pink roots and look ridiculous . My color is supposed to be dark chocolate brown I want to cry because i will have to leave the house tomorrow with the terrible results i got from coloring my hair this evening. I guess I am wearing a hat and being humiliated all day. Be more careful Sylvia. Never again!My last experience was a disaster! While applying the color to my hair ,I noticed that the bottle was warmer than usual. I continued to apply ,then I realized that the bottle got really hot ! I rinsed off the product immediately for at least 30 minutes with cold water. My scalp and ears turned bright red. Greys turned blonde. Ordered brunette hair colour!I’ve got a lot of grey hair around the frame of my face. I’m a brunette and ordered full coverage hair colour according to the numbers my hair dresser supplied. The result was ridiculous. All greys turned platinum blonde. The rest was dark brown. Black instead of dark brownReally disappointed by this colour. I was at first really excited to use it as it seems so luxury compared to a bog standard box colour. Whilst washing it out I seemed to lose a lot of hair. I needed to clean the plug hole out twice to let the water out. My hair is now a mixture of jet black and stripey dark brown. I'm desperately trying to lighten it now with head and shoulders every day. I feel like I'm wearing a black hat. The hair that is black looks really course now. Worth a tryThis color is decent hair color, it does the job however I do wish the customization was more customized towards each individual customers wants & needs instead of using the same formulas. I do like that you receive your gloves, brush and everything you need to color your hair one thing I would maybe suggest is making the conditioner a little larger so you can follow up to condition again the color is a tiny bit drying. Not like it used to beSo I’ve been a pretty loyal customers since 2018. The price has gone up. The quality has gone down, unfortunately like everything else today. i’m not even sure I will be ordering again because I can buy cheaper stuff over-the-counter at the grocery store that covers the grays cause this doesn’t. I was disappointed!!!I just used my kit and for the first time, I’m very disappointed in the coverage. Your product did not cover my grey roots and the colour was very dull. Keine Empfehlung von mirDie Haarfarbe an sich hat mir gefallen! Was überhaupt nicht geht: sie hat mir die Haut sehr gereizt, ich hatte tagelang rote Stellen am Kopf und der Stirn! Disappointing!I ordered the bright copper and was excited regarding the product as it had good reviews in comparison to shop box dies. The packaging and content was great, nicely packaged and cute little shampoos and conditioner and even a stain remover and guard. The product in itself was bang average. I have a lot of grey to cover which i noted on ordering. The colour didn't even last 4 washes on my roots and they grey came back through very quickly leaving me with a glarey root and darker ends.
