After applying the color and seeing the final result, I was very pleased. The color was just what I wanted. There was a nice sheen to my hair once it dried. The color of the hair line around my face could have been a little darker (it turned out a little light) but otherwise, the color was uniform. I didn't use the product until Feb. 17 but one month later, the color has faded considerably from the roots around my hair line and the white is showing again.

I love that there was separate color for roots, however it didn't cover my grey very well and roots were lighter than rest of hair. The rest of my hair looks great though. Color is nice a warm and shiny

After having a bad experience with expensive salon color, I decided to try eSalon. The price was good and I liked that it ships directly to your home. I filled out all the questions for my first order and waited for it to arrive. It was packaged well and instructions were simple. The color was very good, no harsh smell. The color was rich and provided even coverage. The price is fair although it has gone up to $24.95 this month and I'm not sure why. Not sure if I want to continue at that price. The only con is that the color seems to fade rather quickly, even using color-safe shampoo. I would, however, recommend giving this product a try. I am happy with my purchase and am on my third consecutive order.

Loved the 2nd round eSalon made for me as far as color. Can't get past the fumes though. And the shine did not seem to last past 3. I use quality shampoo.

I am 65, have been coloring my hair since I was 16. This color doesn't fade, is easy to apply, better than any drug store products. I wish there was a way I could get 25% more product with each application. I have thick hair, and run out of product half way thru the back of my head.

This product seems to be a professional level product for the public to use. Drug store hair color products did nothing for my gray except tint it yellow. This is the ONLY hair coloring that completely covers all my gray hair. However, since it's a liquid, it's very messy to use. In the directions, if you're still stating for the last step, to get into the shower to rinse the dye off, then I still think you're wrong in your instruction. I wouldn't want to turn around only to discover that the back of my body is also dyed brown.

I am now 4 weeks post-color application and there is NO evidence of roots. I am blown away by the color match. I DO have a few gray hairs peeking through so my only complaint is that they broke through about week 2 and I would love to improve on that,but otherwise definitely exceeded my expectations.

The adjusted color captured what I desired for the outcome. The one negative is the directions. It needs to be rewritten so it doesn't sound like a scolding on following the process on how to color. Overall satisfied customer.

I got my first box of made for me color. First, the presentation was fantastic. Directions were easy to follow, albeit a bit daunting because my first color required one bottle for root application and one for ends. Total time from start to finish took me a little over an hour. I asked for some tweaks on the color as the roots were lighter than I wanted and more orangey tone. Also could tell where the bulk of my grey was. The colorist responded that they'd tweaked my next formula to make it darker and with a different tone and more grey coverage. What I CAN say is almost a month later the color is still there. It has not faded out as the box dyes ALL did for me.
Time will tell with my next formulation bit for now I'm a happy customer. Much more cost effective than a salon visit every 4-6 weeks. 😊

My grays were covered thoroughly and lasted until my hair grew out. The color was just watt wanted and it lightened just a enough to let the sun reflect off my hair.

I love the color, the only problem I keep having is it fades pretty quickly. My colorist has been working with me on each new order to adjust. The product is of good quality, and the instructions are very easy to follow. Very happy with the decision to go with esalon.

I have had my hair colored at salons before and after 3-4 weeks it starts to fade and turn grey again. But with e-salon my hair still has its beautiful color after at least 6 weeks and is still shinny and sleak. I love e-salon and would recommend to everyone.

The color was a little darker this time and tends to be more brassier than I like it but I did get my highlights in good this time so it does lightness some. I don't so much want to go blonde because I've never been a strawberry blonde ... Its great, just never paid 25.00 for one-time color use. On my budget, its a wee bit high.

I have been using this hair colour for about a year now and it is the only one that covers grey completely. It is possible to adjust the colour if you fancy a change and the results are really good.
My only concern is that using the colour is quite messy and even though I cover as much as I can in the bathroom I still end up with splashes everywhere.

I love the product; esalon colorists have matched my "before-gray" beautifully. But the instructions leave a lot to be desired. No reason is given for different instructions--apparently I'm supposed to spend $20 to color just my roots, now that I've been using esalon for a year. It would be nice if the instructions came with a paragraph explaining the changes.

My first delivery was too dark so I contacted esalon to adjust the formula. The first adjustment still had a little too much brown and purple. My second request has given me the perfect balance of red and brown for a great auburn color!

I really like my color and it is easy to change when I want a bit more red or want to go more brunette. My only complaint is that it is so difficult to get off of the scalp. I scrub and scrub in an effort to remove it. After a week or so, I finally feel that it is completely clean.

I am not a hair person! I just don't know how to do all that stuff but I'm telling you this was almost as easy as washing your hair, the results though were well beyond what I had ever expected, my Daughter who does know what she's doing had dyed my hair red I didn't want to do the upkeep of it so wanted to go back brown, well I've done this before at the salon and it's never easy because they can't take you from red back to brown in one process. Well shame on them because eSalon took me there no problem! I have a lot of grey now that I did not have then as well. I recommend this very much. What a fantastic product and experience!

The color was right on. Didn't look like a fake red head. Looked very natural. However, the grey came back almost immediately. Which was the main reason I bought the color in the first place. That's why I only gave 4 stars.

Leider bin ich mit meinem Einkauf nicht zufrieden. Erstens hat der Versand ungewöhnlich lange gedauert, was bereits ärgerlich war. Zweitens entspricht die Haarfarbe nicht meinen Vorstellungen. Ich hatte mehrfach erwähnt, dass ich ein helles, aschiges Braun möchte. Stattdessen sind meine Längen dunkelbraun und aschig, während der Ansatz ein warmes Braun mit einem Rotstich aufweist. Das Ergebnis ist weit entfernt von dem, was ich erwartet habe.Sieht sehr schlimm aus.Schade für das Geld,werde es nicht weiterempfehlen!

When new on the colour is perfect, but it fades after only a few washes. It didn't cover the pre coloured strip of dark colour in my hair which I wasn't surprised about and they did send me a complimentary darker colour to try again.

I absolutely loved all the packaging, the custom shade was great, but this was my first time using a demi permanent, so maybe im just unsure of how long a demi should last, but the very first time I washed my hair, 3 days after colouring, I was almost back to the colour my hair was before coloring. I used the rest of the shampoo/conditioner that came with my kit, and only used mildly warm water. By the 2nd shampoo, the colour was completely gone from my hair. I was so disappointed that the soft black shade was gone so quickly.

I still haven’t received my order. This is the second order I was forced to place, as the company withdrew the money and claimed it had already been shipped, so I was no longer able to cancel it.
Now it’s been over two weeks, and the order hasn’t even been handed over to the parcel delivery company. Very disappointed with the service so far.

I have been getting ready for a 2600-mile road trip to attend a huge family gathering with my family that I have not seen in years, recently I've been struggling with my hair since after 15 years of dying it black I decided to work my way back to my naturally platinum blonde hair and of course in that process I've managed to really screw up my once beautiful hair. I wanted to look presentable on this trip, so I turned to my browser for advice and ideas on what to do with my hair to make it better when I came across this website and after reading the details and taking the quiz, I had hope for my lifeless dull hair and then my package arrived in such poor condition I was actually in tears. One of the developer bottles had leaked out all over everything, the bottle looked as if it had been squeezed very hard yet it appeared to be unopened. The instructions were ruined by this and they were so stuck together it almost took ripping it in order to unfold it. I leave for my trip in two days so it's either leave my hair as is and suck it up or go to Walmart and buy some box dye and hope it turns out ok.

Two different colours

I got my new box and only had time to color my hair now. I received two different colours, one red and one brown. Unfortunately I only picked it up a bit to late and started with the red. My grey roots is now an orange red colour while the rest of my hair is dark brown!!! This is a total mess.

Die Haarfarbe hat nur 10 Tage gehalten!!! Hat sich sehr schnell heraus gewaschen! Was ist schief gelaufen? Bin sehr verärgert. Noch dazu wurde mir ungefragt eine neue Packung geschickt und das Geld einfach von meinem Konto abgebucht!!!!! Bin sehr verärgert!!!!!!

I use the product three times and I noticed my hair started thinning around the crown of my face. I’m sure it’s a good product as it’s had great reviews, but it’s not for me.

If you feel you have been losing significantly more than this, you may have had an allergic reaction. I ordered medium brown expecting a natural, mid-tone brunette shade. Unfortunately, what I received was extremely dark brown — my hair now looks almost black. I was aiming for a soft, medium brunette look, but this is way too dark and doesn’t match the description or image. If you’re looking for a true medium brown, I’d recommend going at least one or two shades lighter than what you think you need. Very disappointed with how far off the color turned out.

I’m a bit disappointed in this set as I asked for a dark strawberry blonde and uploaded photos for reference but I’ve used the set and it’s just a dark blonde, it’s left me with a really flat dark blonde with no warmth.

I was really excited about this, but I followed the directions exactly and nothing happened. The roots didn’t take. My hair is light naturally and takes color really well so I was very disappointed

Je viens tout juste de recevoir la commande du mois d’avril ! D’ailleurs tellement ça a tardé j’ai complètement oublié la commande jusqu’à ce que je la reçois aujourd’hui.
La couleur ne correspond absolument pas à ce que j’avais demandé et cela depuis la dernière commande chatin cendré

I requested color change back to original color that cam eout bright coppery color that I loved and I got a dark brown with barely a hint a red I will be canceling this subscription as this is my third try.

My color is dull after a couple of days. The gold tones are coming through when I wanted ashy tones. Too brassy....and really one toned, not multi layered color. Also the lack of ability to order highlights along with your color is disappointing.

Trotz genauen Angaben plus Originalfoto meiner Haarfarbe sowie Foto meiner Wunschfarbe (die sich nicht sehr von meiner Haarfarbe unterscheidet) komplett falsche Haarfarbe bekommen! Noch nie hatte ich einen dermaßen langweilig Farbton!
Mische mir meine Haarfarbe wieder selber! Erziele als „Nichtprofi“ bei weitem bessere Resultate! Schade!

My kit came with 1 color for my hard to cover gray and another for the rest of my hair. I followed the directions to a T. Now my roots look orange and the rest is dark brown.

Complete wrong colour , I ordered mahogany copper, when the dye was on it went dark purple when I was the dye out my hair is now a dark brown and the ends r a diffrent colour!
