Product was easy to use and apply. I liked the coverage, but did not like that my roots ended up being a little lighter than the rest of my hair. Overall, I recommend this product and will be purchasing again.

I just wanted to say thank you to eSalon- you did it! It took a few little tweaks but you listened and applied to achieve exactly what I was hoping for. My hair is now that medium brown I have been trying to achieve for YEARS.. The struggle has always been the color pulled brassy-- or it was way too dark. When I reached out to the eSalon team the color was better- but it wasn't exact to what I wanted- then I wrote to your experts a second time - small tweak- but still not perfect- third time around wrote again- moment of silence... PERFECT! THANK YOU!

I absolutely appreciate the 1 on 1 help from my colorist helping me achieve the color I am most comfortable with. Our home has well water with significant amounts of iron. This leads to a brassy color that my colorist has helped tone down. My natural color is quite grey and I have chosen to go blonde so when the grey starts to come through it is not as noticeable as with a darker shade.
My biggest wish is if esalon had a smaller size mixture for people with short hair. I feel the amount I use is 1/3 of the total mixture so I feel it is such a waste of product and in another sense an expense that could be reduced for me if my mixture was divided into 3 portions so I could use it 3x or else purchase a smaller amount. I get packaging costs money and to divide into smaller bottles would not necessarily save me money due to added cost of more vials but I just feel it is wasteful to only need such a small amount of the mixture. I wouldn't need extra gloves, shampoo, conditioner, etc but would gladly pay $45 every 90 days just to get 3 sets of the color and developer in smaller portions in one shipment. Just an idea I wish esalon would consider for those of us with very short hair. It has been a reason why I have been a start/stop user because I can't get past the fact that I pay for product that I toss 2/3 away each time.
If you ever have that option for those of us with very short hair sign me up! Your color selections are great, your service is great, your quality is the best and the ease of doing the application is a big plus! I am a fan and recommend esalon to anyone who prefers to color at home vs going to a salon.

I colored my hair today, at home, for the first time in many years. The colorist listened well to me, and the results are very good! The only problem I encountered was difficulty pouring the final rinse of color over my hair...it ran down my face, and I got it in my eye. I wonder if I can just lather my hair with water, instead of pouring it from the bottle.

I was very apprehensive when I first got the package and thought I would just go back to my hair colorist. But wow was I wrong. After preparing everything I followed the instructions and began the process. It was a little cumbersome but hey, for the cost difference I could deal with it. I was so excited to see the beautiful color after I washed it out.
It COVERED ALL THE GRAYS and I think it turned out better than the salon. So, my bathroom is my new hair salon unless I want a cut. Now I have to figure out how to tell my stylist. I just love her and we’re good friends. I’m sure she’ll understand especially after she sees the quality off the product. Thank you for saving me $$$!

Let me start off by saying I never thought I could color my own hair. I have a head FULL of extremely thick and very wavy/curly hair. It’s hard to even style day to day let alone color my own hair. But after reading the reviews I decided to take the plunge. Let me tell you….I WILL NEVER GO BACK to the salon. E salon provides the most personalized at home color experience one could hope for. I went from a very brassy level 7 with old highlights to a nice level 6 light brown. So thankful I listened to Zinali from customer service who advised I ease into the darker shade because it’s perfect. Still dealing with a slight brassy root but this is no fault of e salon and is from my previous nightmare color experience. I emailed service and they are adjusting my color to counter act the warmth for next time. Over all such a beautiful product. Hair feels healthy and the products feel nourishing and smell amazing. Just loving the shine and the fact I can just have a nice brown hair color again! If you are on the fence….just do it. It’s almost fool proof. Thanks e salon and thanks Danielle S for being such a great colorist!

I requested a brown color that would tone down the brassy color. The formula worked beautifully. The directions were user friendly. I loved that I could shampoo my hair. It looked great the very next day. My other hair color made my hair look oily for several days.

I used to buy grocery store brand hair color to cover my grays because it was both convenient and inexpensive. It certainly did the job but the color never lasted very long. I also became aware that it was damaging my hair.... that last part could be due to user error, but we'll never know since I won't ever again use store bought hair color! Once I tried eSalon, I was amazed with everything! The instructions, the ease of use, the items provided in the kit, all of it. But mostly I am so pleased and impressed with how long the color touch up has lasted! The cost is about 3 times more than what I was paying to color my own hair, but it is money very well spent! I absolutely love it!! And if you decide to try it for yourself, you will absolutely love it, too!

The price turned me off just a bit initially but then I thought, I would spend thrice that amount in a salon. So I splurged on myself and have zero regrets. The color was spot on and my hair felt like it was resurrected from the dread. I was just looking for a gray touch up instead I got the spa treatment. My hair never felt so soft! The color lasted through many washings I lost count. Lastly, the color was quite vibrant so overall I am happy with my purchase and will be bach.😂

Ich hatte nur wenige graue Haare. Aber die, die ich hatte, sind nicht mehr zu sehen. Tadaaaa Grauabdeckungstest bestanden ;-)) Ich habe die Farbe " Dunkelblond-Pearl-Kupfer gewählt. Während der Einwirkzeit habe ich gezittert. Denn das sah ganz schön Rot aus. Aber Nein, nach dem ausspülen fühlten meine Haare sich super gepflegt an und dieser dezente Rotstich gefällt mir. Jetzt mal hören was meine Töchter sagen und dann bin ich endlich mal weg von diesen ständigen blonden Strähnchen :)

My hair is so soft after coloring. It definitely covered my grays. I am curious to see how long that lasts. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because the light brown is SO much darker than I thought it would be. I should have asked for the lightest I can go. But I do love the coverage and it has a pleasant smell. I did not use the shampoo and conditioner that came with it only because I really like my own brand so that is my reason for not commenting on that. I’ll check in, in a couple of weeks and let you know how the gray coverage is working out.

I really like the colour at the roots, on the lengths I unfortunately don't quite like it, a pink shade, but I will still continue to buy this product because I like the colour and quality of the dye.

I thought if I went lighter I wouldn't feel comfortable because my hair is very thin and balding on the top. It looks so much better than I thought. Thank you so much

Sehr schönes Set, es macht Freude, es zu benutzen. Ich habe es vor langer Zeit bestellt, aber jetzt benutze ich es erst. Mir gefiel die Farbe, sie deckt graue Haare ab. Ein Minuspunkt ist der hohe Preis. Ich weiß nicht, wie lange die Farbe hält und wird abgewaschen.

The colour came out so rich and has the woodsy tone that I want. We will really be able to tell in a couple of weeks if the blend worked as it starts to fade. Here's hoping for little to no brassiness.

Um ehrlich zu sein.... ich war zuerst enttäuscht... meine Erwartung war eine Andere.
Bisher hatte ich immer Rottöne, die mit Abstand betrachtet unnatürlich aussahen.
Jetzt bin ich meinem Naturdunkelblond sehr nahe und habe einen leichten Rotschimmer... :-) Danke
Schön finde ich, dass an alles gedacht wurde auch an den Fleckenentferner. Den Service bekommt man nicht mal im Salon vor Ort.
Die Anwendung ist einfach, wenn man schon Haare gefärbt hat. Grauhaarabdeckung ist bestens, nun teste ich wie lang es dauert bis zur nächsten Färbung.
Lieferung etwa 7Tage,Zahlung per Paypal und Einmalbestellung, also kein Abo.... was mag man mehr?

I love the new color, though it's a little darker than the first, it completely covered my grays. So, going forward, I'm going to use the dark brown please. For all my color needs. My gray is just too stubborn. It looks great now and seems to be lasting. Thank you for the tweak..great job!

I really love this product. When I colored my hair before, the ends always came out darker since I left color on same time for all parts of hair. With this product, ends and roots matched. Only problem is my hair grows very fast and have to update all with in 4 weeks.

Die Farbe ist echt super, ist einfach in der Anwendung und hält lange. Deckt graue Haare super ab. Ein Stern Abzug, da sie einem beim Auftragen heftig in Augen und Nase beisst.

It took a couple of cycles to get the color perfect but I love it now. This color red is very close to my natural color which was the look I was trying to achieve since I just wanted to cover the gray.

I worked with the stylist over 3 months and tweaked the potion a little to get closer to the color I wanted, although I really didn't think it was possible. I've had my hair done by a professional for so many years and when she retired and forced me into the box I started looking like Ronald McDonald. This program and these stylists that work with you actually listen and now my hair is the same color it was when my stylist was doing it. It's also in better shape than it's been in a long time probably since my stylist retired. I am so happy with this product and the color that I'm able to achieve on my own, I could not recommend using this service more. Although I still don't have anyone to cut my hair, I don't need anyone to color it anymore. I am thrilled!

I can't tell you how much time I would spend pouring over the hair color products in my local discount store and the local cosmetic/hair care supply chain just trying to get the color I wanted. Definitely not a fun or informative task. I was on my own and had no clue what tone, hue, color played a role in which color would compliment my skin tone.
Then I came across an ad on Facebook for eSalon. I was impressed with the process and the product from the color. But when MY stylist asked me if I would like to make changes to my color.... WOW!! It was perfect!!! Not brassy, not harsh, but the perfect shade of Red I had been trying to get since highschool!!!!
I couldn't be more pleased and I tell everyone I know that colors their hair about Esalon. And if you are reading my review I hope that you try it too! Because I know you will be pleased also. After spending a fortune in the salon for great results but £££, I thought I would try box dyes for a while and save some pennies but the results were so unpredictable. For example dyes that were supposed to be dark blonde but ended up almost black on my semi-porous hair, red dye that was a wash out after a few weeks and don't get me started on the one box dye that stuck to my bathroom, pillows, towels - anything but my actual hair!
eSalon is an absolute game changer, my hair has never looked this good, the condition is the best its ever been and I get sooooo many comments about my hair.
If you are hesitating about signing up then my advice is to go for it, you really won't be disappointed.

As well, your hair feels great after this easy application.

I’ve been dying my hair for most of my life! Usually getting supplies from Sally’s. (I’m 35 & started having grays at like 17 🤣
No Bullshit & no I’m not getting paid for this- after the first color my hair still felt light, it didnt feel all gunky… like it’d be better in a few washes…. It just felt good & looked good!

I still have to get used to the texture compared to box color from the store, but it did not tingle or bother me at all. The color is perfect for what I was looking for. Thank you so much. I will let you know how the tint rinse works after I use that!

I ordered eSalon color at the advice of a friend. She told me they custom fit your color to your needs, even if those needs change. My first box arrived and it was too light (didn't cover my roots) so I reached out to eSalon for help. They had me send them a photo of my hair at the present moment and sent me a new kit for free This one knocked it out of the park. I'm excited to continue to get my kits and color my hair as soon as it needs it rather than waiting for appointments and spending $$$ at the salon.

When I first put the color on and waited the 30 minutes I was panicked because the dye was jet black. To my very pleasant surprise it didn't come out black,but reddish brown, which is my natural hair color.. I didn't do the best job coloring it myself but next time I'll have a friend help. So be patient, it's not what it appears to be. I'm very happy with the results.

I just wanted to cover my greys and not change too much of my colour...I went a bit darker brown with no red in it as I find red browns don't look natural on me. This colour fits the bill perfectly

You would think that getting medium golden brown hair color would be simple, but I've found it next to impossible lately. The color would be labeled medium golden brown, but it would end up being much darker. My eSalon color listed as medium golden brown IS. Rich beautiful color, nice highlights, and soft feel. I am very happy with my purchase and look forward to getting the color I expect with every purchase.

My usual colour is darkest brown, this colour after drying was chestnut brown colour at my roots.
After drying and styling my hair was very static which is something i dont have issues with.
My partner said it looked dull and not shiny like previous hair dyes.

I’m 68 years old and as a young woman hated my hair color. Growing up red hair was ridiculed relentlessly, however I’m pleased to see that is no longer an issue for all redheads of the world. Yeah! Now to keep a natural, but lighter shade of red hair was challenging in salons. Finding the right color was dependent upon skills of the colorist and a hefty price. Once had a good colorist, but we moved 5000 miles away and couldn’t find another colorist that could be consistent. I happened upon an article/ad on eSalon and decided to risk it because the price seemed affordable. This was in 2013 and I’m still buying and coloring my own hair with a beautiful red hair color. Everyone thinks my hair color is natural and it goes well with my age—not the deep copper when younger, but a light copper that compliments my skin/age. I absolutely love my hair color and how my hair looks (undamaged) after ten
years of using eSalon! Thanks to all of eSalon employees for their quality products and hard work!!

I've been using box color for years and always thought it was "just ok". But I began to realize how harsh it is on my hair and the color never lasted and was never quite right or the way I wanted it. Just did my first color through eSalon and it looks amazing. Not dry or brittle. I'm not sure I'm loving the color I created yet, it's not bad at all, might need just a little adjustment, but I'm going to give it a few more times before I decide to tweak the color. I am very happy I made the change!!!!

I thought I wanted one thing, called to change my autoship and my stylist went over the "tones" and shades with me and I ended up with something slightly different and ended up LOVING it!

I haven't used home hair color in many years and recently have traveled abroad leaving my stylist back home. ESalon has been a miracle for my root touch ups.

I really like the product. It is easy to apply, and the color looks great. My only objection is the shipping is always late. Not saying it's the company's fault, but I can get another hair color (Madison Reed) much quicker.

Ausprobiert, nach Anleitung gearbeitet, das System ist einfach in der Handhabung und die Farbe wirklich sehr schön. Bin gespannt wie sie nach 2-3 Wochen aussieht.

I have coloured my hair with E-salon 3 times now. For my first order, I was immediately surprised at how beautiful and vibrant and perfect the colour came out without any bleach. Even though I had a pretty vibrant copper-red colour, it only bled for the first 3 washes and lasted a really long time. For the third colour I asked to adjust the colour a bit, to match my winter season preferences, and the colourist did a wonderful job matching my new colour mix to the reference picture I sent them. They even sent me the second bottle of colour for free. Overall I have never managed to get the perfect shade of red I desired outside of a salon visit and E-salon got it perfect the first time. I heartily recommend this to anyone who wants quality colour but doesn't have the time or money for frequent salon visits.

I was a little hesitant at first. I can honestly say that I am absolutely ecstatic over the results! I have not been this happy with my hair color since when I used to go to the salon. I stopped going to the salon over 6 years ago and switched to dying my hair at home. Though the results were ok, they were nothing spectacular. I saw the advertisement for esalon on the internet and figured what could I lose? After going through the entire questionnaire, they gave me my own hair color. A colorist contacted me and I told her what I was looking for. They were wonderful! I am so happy and so satisfied with the results. I will continue to use them! I recommend them to anyone looking to get back natural hair color! Thank you esalon!!

The colors are very nice. And the instructions and ease of application is great! The product is just not made for my type of hair. I have VERY OBSTINATE gray and color just does not stay on it by no fault of eSalon, I have had the same issue with other product lines. But I would recommend esalon to others!

I have used esalon.com for over 7.5 years and I will be 68 in April. I couldn’t afford to go to a Salon anymore and just didn’t like the color I got from using the DIY stuff I bought at big box stores. I’ve only adjusted the color once with Esalon and had a slight change in the directions to help me cover the grays better. Autoship is great! I am sent an email alerting me that an order is coming due, and I can go online and adjust it in several ways if I am not ready. I plan on using Esalon as long as I am able. Almost forgot to mention, I always receive compliments on my hair color, blonde of course.

Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit der Qualität und vor allem der Deckkraft des Produktes bei grauem Haar.
Meine bestellte Haarfarbe war leider nicht optimal ausgesucht. Ich benötige das Haarfärbeprodukt in einem klaren Blondton, also nicht rot-, nicht gelb- oder goldstichig. Könnten Sie diesen Wunsch bitte so für mich vormerken?! Danke und viele Grüße Anke Sondermann

I just want to say thanks to my colourist Thibault,I really like this color!
Only problem I had was the way of coloring my hair(2 time way)or maybe I never color my hair this way!

To be honest I was a little worried in the beginning because it was alot darker then I expected but it when applied and dried IT WAS PERFECT. I will definitely be sticking to this

I’ve colored my hair for years. In salons and on my own. When the gray made it too hard and expensive to keep up and maintain a color I stopped. I learned to embrace the gray, but it made me feel old and I never liked it. I bought store dye and it turned out horrible. Then I Saw the ad on Facebook and decided to give it a try. Oh my gosh!!! It is AMAZING! The color was awesome, the grays, never could tell I had them. This is the only color system I will ever use again!!! It lightened too much so after answering a few questions they are tweaking the color a bit darker. I love this!!! I truly do!!!

This is from my first use , my hair was in shambles really ,I had big roots and grown out dyed strong red hair that I was using green mask to tone it down,the colour I went for was onto brown but nto dark ,I wanted to come away from the extreme red and my own auburn hair wasn't going to grow back out ,very happy how the first colour went on my hair,still red in it but not strong and roots blended really well ,I have just placed my second order to have colour here from when I'm ready to use,great amount in the box and felt very personal too ,even down to the gloves set were really cute ,really happy so far and glad I made the choice to go with Esalon

East to use, smells good, color was customized to my specs (rich brunette).
Since I chose a semi-permanent, it doesn’t cover gray 100% at my roots, but it’s pretty good. I have pretty stubborn grays.

I really like E salon hair products. My hair must be changing its strength and stubborness. I need to have the entense color from now on. The last color I received didn't color well at all. I had to do something with 1 week. This is why i say my hair must be changing. lol.
Keep up the good work, I try to let my friends and family know about your products. Not sure if they have ordered any, its ok. I don't need to know. Are there samples that I can get and give as stocking stuffers?

I been using L’Oréal or tinting my hair in a salon and every time I loose a lot of hair and have itch until I found esalon at Facebook take 3 months until I do my first order an I love it , I stop loosing hair every tint, I don’t have dry hair and I have the color I want every time , I am customer for 2 1/2 years.

Liebes eSalon Team, Liebe Katarina,
Ich bin durch Zufall auf die eSalon Farbe gestoßen und muss sagen, dass gleich meine erste Farbbestellung eine Punktlandung war!!!
Dazu muss ich sagen,dass ich einen dunkleren Farbton bestellt hatte. Katarina, welche die Farbe speziell für mich gemischt hat, hat mir jedoch einen nicht ganz so dunklen Ton empfohlen mit dem Hinweis, die Farbe anzupassen und es erst mal mit einem helleren Ton zu versuchen. Der Tipp - sich schrittweise dem gewünschten Ton zu nähern habe ich zugestimmt. Bin nun von dem helleren Farbton total begeistert. Sieht meiner ursprünglichen Haarfarbe, die ich als junge Frau hatte, sehr ähnlich. Was für ein Service und was für ein super Farbergebnis. Es ist ein Komplettes Set und alles was man zum färben benötigt ist dabei. Freue mich schon heute auf meine nächste Lieferung im Dezember. Werde den aktuellen Farbton beibehalten! Preis Leistung stimmt hier! Grosses Lob und Danke für die professionelle Beratung!

I was really struggling to find a box dye in the colour I wanted and grey coverage wasn't great!

I found that between work, kids and a million other commitments it was getting harder and harder to get to a salon for my colour. After researching online I decided to try a home colour and e-salon appealed to me. As a first timer, my technique wasn’t the best in applying the colour, but the end result is still lovely. The exact colour I wanted and my hair looks fab!
