Not Much to Write Home AboutThere is a lot of pfaff involved in applying this hair colour; spring clips, dividing your head into quarters etc. The pong is very unpleasant and strong, the colourant dyes anything it comes into contact with immediately. However, the stain lasted longer on the toilet seat than the colour did in my hair. Four weeks and it had completely faded out - the orange blob on the loo seat is still going strong though! It isn't worth the money; the lack-lustre colour isn't as good as I usually get mixing two colours from Avon and it's four times as expensive. Using eSalon colourant' just once' hasn't done a lot for the condition of my hair (or my bathroom....) and lots of my hair came out for quite a while after dyeing, so I'm going back to my usual brand for longer-lasting colour and condition. I was really looking forward to this treat, but I was just taken in by the advertising hyperbole - sadly, it's nothing to write home about. Still have gray showingI think I am done buying this hair color. I am seeing gray the same or the next week after coloring. Not worth it to have to color that close together. Did I do something wrong?Hi I chose my colour hoping my hair would be luminous but it was dull. I thought I had a free product? A free colour but the hair colour wanted mixing with 20ml. And the root bottle with the other bottle of 20ml. There was so much colour that I needed a 1/3 of the root dye. What is the point to send a picture!I had tried esalon few months ago and was not that satisfied so I had stopped then I gave another try this month. Let me tell you I will not order again. I sent a new picture that clearly showed my dark roots. I asked for a medium brown ash and the color turned out light brown with red. I specifically said I wanted to match my root color and did not want any red. Well it did not happen. Will not order again. Didn't make my hair the color I wantedMy hair seemed to be darker than I wanted it and it didn't have hardly any red in it. They do an excellent job of matching your complextion to the hair color, but this time it didn't turn out the way I was hoping it would.. I should have just went back to the color I first ordered from them in 2014, but my complection may not have matched it. Disappointed in the color but probably was partly my fault because I tried to tell them what color I wanted and I am known to not say exactly what I am trying to say. Anyway that is what one of my sisters told me. What is advantage?I tried this product after a positive review in Allure which makes me now wonder if it was an advertorial. The packaging was nice but you still need a good product. The product left my fine blonde hair feeling like wax. It took 3 shampoos (one with a body wash) to get rid of the waxy feeling. The color was dull and not close to the picture I submitted. After using a drug store product, my hair is shiny and has body. Plus the box color is accurate. And I don't pay shipping. The price for this product is not bad if it delivered good color and nice looking hair. And the concept of "salon" quality color mixed for you and delivered to your home is appealing. I keep being sent root color that is basically BROWN. WHY? I am trying to cover the roots and make my whole head red, not have darker roots. DissapointedI think the product itself is good and gentle to my hair. I really would like to love this product and the convenience of home delivery. BUT they did not get my color right. And that is so dissapointing as I sent pictures of my hair for them to match it as I only need to touch up my roots but need to blend with the rest of my already colored hair which was lighter. Instead they sent me a color so dark that not even 5 minutes on my hair my roots where turning black and had to washed it out. Washing it bled thru the rest of my hair and ruined my highlights. Which I specifically put on my notes when I ordered that I have blond highlights. Now my hair is black and after emailing esalon on what happened, their recommendation... to go to a professional salon if I wanted it lightened. Really? Love the colorI finally found a good color that I love, it totally covered all my gray the only problem was it did make my hair straw like as I washed it out but the conditioner which I didn't have enough of made the hair that I put it in soft but what I couldn't get the conditioner in feels a little sticky now that it's dry. I would recommend sending more conditioner for people with longer hair. This is definately salon grade because when I think about it every time I go to the salon after she rinses out my hair she puts in a leave in conditioner for about 5 minutes. Just okayI am still trying to figure out what is going on with my hair color. We started with the "dark blonde" color which made my hair red. The color correction sent, made my hair a metallic copper. The "devoted to hue" product toned down the metallic tint but still a bit copper. So for this months color application to my roots, they sent a "light drown". The kit did not include a brush so I used an old toothbrush. This color application didn't cause me to gasp when I got it applied then dried, so I guess we are making an improvement. I'm just still very confused and disappointed as my hair is very far from the original color we talked about when I started this journey. Every application feels like I'm spinning a roulette wheel with no control of the outcome. But I can't just stop because my hair is so very far from any color it's every been. Not so happyI have been using this product for a year. The last three times it has not completely coveref my gray. I thought at first i was missing those areas so i had my daughter help me still not all covered this time my husband did it and my hair was saturated even left on 5 minutes longer. Good color, but didn't go all the way throughI have been having my hair professionally done and filling in the roots with drug store color. I went back to esalon and decided to go from a dark brown to a dark red. They sent me two types of color, one for my roots and one for the rest of the hair which had previous been dyed. The roots and the ends are colored red but the area right after my roots (which had been colored by the drug store color) didn't really take the color. You can't see it if you aren't looking, but I'll probably need to do an all over color again. Also, my roots are a bit redder than my ends which isn't desirable. I really wanted to like this productMy color came out darker than i wanted, it doesn't cover up my previous color and it made it look like 2 different colors(i wanted ash but overall it still looks red). However their customer service is quite impressive, i contacted them and they said they could sent me a demi darker shade to cover up my red tones. I really like the whole idea of these and i really wanted to like it, but it just doesn't work for me. Plus i feel like there is still a lot of residue on my scalp after several washes(i even scrub and massage it and wash it twice), but somehow there are still those brown residue on my scalp(it made my scalp itchy throughout the day and when i scratch it i can see brown stuff coming out*i'm sorry if it's gross). Hair colorFirst off there wasn't enough color to do my whole head it only covered half. Second I made note that my hair turns red with color so you have to watch the mix. Well it really turned red so apparently no one took that into consideration when making my color. So for the cost I believe I will just go back to a salon since I have to go have it highlighted anyway to cover some of the red. Not the right shadeI can tell that the products are high quality and it felt great on my hair but when I washed out the product the color was much darker than I had hoped. There was no dimension to it or even a hint of the 'mahogany' that the color stated - it might have been better called 'darkest black'. Some of my hair has been colored before but even in the roots it was much too dark. DisappointedI've been meaning to review my eSalon color for quite some time, I think I kept hoping it would improve. My first order was phenomenal, the color came out gorgeous. Unfortunately I was never able to replicate the color with the subsequent formulations. The third shipment is when I started to notice a significant difference in the product, especially the overwhelming overpowering smell; I've never used a color with such a potent chemical odor. Although I used the color in an open space with the windows wide open, I became sick to my stomach followed immediately by an awful headache - this has never happened before. Adding insult to injury the color was very dull, nothing like the rich chocolate color I achieved with the first shipment. A few weeks later I learned my 63 year old neighbor also used eSalon, during our conversation we realized we were sent the same "customized " color. My natural hair color is dark brown, her's is a much lighter color with shades of red - even when she colors her hair it's never close to a color as dark as my own. To say I was disappointed to learn my "custom color" was not in fact custom is an understatement; I feel as though to say so is false advertisement. Finally, my fourth shipment was the last straw as it caused burns to my skin that left me with permanent discoloration on my face (I accidentally touched part of my face with my finger) I should have known that a product with such a powerful chemical smell would be damaging to my skin. Not as good as it seemed.I loved the color the day that I did it. Every time I wash it, it fades back to almost my pre-color if I don't use the tinted love. I color was next to impossible to get out of hair when I went to wash it. Many of my greys have already lost the color and are showing through. Also the color I got was not solid. My hair has kind of an ombre effect when I was looking for all over color. I stated that I had a lot of grey hair and that it had been more than three months since my last color, so my new growth was close to 4 inches. cover grey rootsI have an ombre style hair color... my natural color is medium brown with 40% grey at roots. I color just the roots and then color natural fades to golden color from previous highlights(2 yrs ago). Wrong color! Very Dull...no shine at allI want to give this a good review, but I can't. It's one star for being inexpensive, nice packaging, great instructions, but this was a waste of my time. My hair came out the exact same color...and it was alot of work for no change in color. My hair felt horrible afterward. I used the two bottles sent for the first time, (one for roots & one for the rest of my hair), gloves, conditioner, and followed the instructions to a tee. I sent a picture of my before hair, explained what I wanted. One of the Copper options for dark hair. I'm disappointed. I'm not really wanting to change the color, even though it's nice that eSalon will work with you. My hair just felt horrible afterward and wasn't shiny at all! Cancelled My ColorThis is only my second time using esalon to color my hair and I am now cancelling my auto renewal because my skin really broke out after using the most recent batch they sent me. Not what it soldThis hair product was not at all what I wanted, or expected. It was not easy for one person to use. The color distribution was difficult because the product was much more runny than I'd anticipated. Even with the greatest of care, dye dripped onto the cape, and subsequently ran down until it reached the floor. The color did not look how I wanted when I finished. DisappointingMy hair is naturally dark brown. I ordered a copper hair colour. I spoke to an esalon representative and sent a photo through as requested. The lady recommended opting for brown/copper to ensuere that the colour looks natural and is suitable for my current hair colour (i.e since the hair is dark there is no point hoping for a intense copper). Well... the colour has arrived... and now my hair is completely black! Not even a hue of copper or brown for that matter... I hate it, much prefereed the natural brown look i had before. Not Crazy About ItThe color matched perfectly, it really did . But after applying it, rinsing, using the enclosed shampoo and conditioner ( so many things in the box! 🙂), my hair was limp and lifeless. After a few days, I washed my hair again , hoping that it was, perhaps , the shampoo.... but my hair has remained completely flat and limp. Unfortunately, the color is already leaving the gray areas of my hair. I was really hoping this would be the answer to spending 85.00 every few months to color my hair. Not for me at allI've tried twice with this product. The first time the colour was brassy, so it was adjusted by e-salon. Tried again, very carefully, brushed it on, followed instructions to the letter. It looks patchy as though it's 'taken' in some areas and not others. As for the colour - it looks like cheap drugstore burgandy. See photo. I hate it. Two days later I've checked the colour I ordered as I changed it after the first application which was a bit brassy but a better colour. I asked for the brassiness to be toned down and the colour I ordered was a golden brown. So I'm even more surprised that the colour on my head is so dark and what my Mancunian friends call 'Bus-stop-Burgandy,' that cold almost purply shade that shouts: 'I used a box of cheap colourant!' And no I didn't leave it on too long and I applied it with great care. Grrrr. I am now going to the hairdresser and will have to spend a fortune to fix this disaster. So upset. I was sent a color with the wrong undertoneAfter turning my hair orange and giving me hot roots last month I carefully detailed in a series of emails how I wanted my hair to look the following month. I was sent exactly the undertone I asked not to receive and my color was horribly unflattering. last order - not GOOD?!?!?!?!I am uploading a new picture. I am disappointed with it. My hair is all one color, no visible highlights. ConfusedThe color came out way to dark.....it covered the roots and in most places it turned out even.....but way darker than the color should have turned out. Outcome Was Far From What I ExpectedPositives: product was very easy to use and of a good usable consistency Negative: the colour was far from what I wanted, it turned my lightest hair colour steel grey!
