DisappointedHello, I'm pleased with the kit, instructions and also the sticker that helps hold instructions. I'm disappointed because the color did not cover all my gray hair around my face, though it was saturated. I followed full instructions (20 minutes and 5 minutes) Step 2 instructions does not indicate to wear gloves, however shouldn't gloves be worn to color ends or are we to keep our gloves on while waiting for 20 minutes? I recommend to add a 3rd pair of gloves to kit and to add wear gloves at step 2 Instructions. To fix the gray around my face area, may I receive a free touch up kit, asking for small amount to fix area, not a full portion. Not what I was hoping forThis is not the colour I was hoping for at all. It was a lot darker than I hoped it would be. I have pretty much juts gone back to my natural colour and that is not what I had in mind. It may have been a miscommunication so I will try again and hopefully we will get it right next time. IT WAS BLACKwanted a light brown to match my natural colour (I have dirty/dark blonde hair) and it literally came out BLACK. I hate my hair colorIam pale and this color darkest brown with golden undertones makes my hair almost black. I had no idea it would wash me out this bad. I have naturally dark brown hair but not this dark and I have been going to the salon and getting blonde highlights vfor the last ten years due to the pandemic I can't afford to and now that I'm close to forty the grays show, the last time about a month or more ago I bought a box from a drug store of a brownish red color I sent in a pic of it. If you have grey hair, this might not work for you.Given that the pandemic has made us all into our own hairdressers, I thought a hair color subscription--of sorts--would be an excellent idea. And, this service is amazing. I really appreciated the details that went into my order (ie extra pair of gloves). That said, the product itself was lacking considerably. While I liked the no-mess formula, there was not enough product to cover my roots entirely. Even the front and side sections which were fully covered came out with about 50% coverage. I have black hair, but have been dyeing it since I started going prematurely grey. Décevant !La couleur est beaucoup plus foncé que mon choix, pourtant j'avais mis des photos. De plus j'ai des reflets roux (je déteste) alors que j'ai demandé un blond foncé doré.... Et pour finir, j'ai choisi de me colorer les cheveux pour camoufler les 5 ou 6 cheveux blancs qui sont apparus sur le haut de ma tête, mais ils vont bien, ils sont toujours là et beaucoup plus visibles vu que le reste des cheveux est beaucoup plus foncé ! Poor grey coverage and insufficient productI have hair that is just past my shoulders and quite thick. I had sent in a photo of my hair and emphasized the results i wanted to achieve. I had a friend help with application and it quickly became clear that there was not enough of the colour. Not impressedThis is not the colour I requested at all, definitely nothing like the inspiration pictures I have sent with my request. I ordered Light Brown Copper and what it turned out to be on my head was dark brown mahogany with a tint of purple.. I'd understand if it was my roots that didn't pick up the colour but 3/4 of my hair were bleached blonde so there's no excuse for them not to turn out correctly. Aucun effetMalheureusement sur mes cheveux foncés, la coloration n’a eu aucun effet et ne fait aucune différence avant et après la coloration... Bien qu’on m’ait renvoyé une nouvelle couleur plus claire, cela ne fonctionne pas (dommage car l’équipe est sympa). Way too dark and ashyI asked for a nice warm dark brown colour, but it almost looked black. I understand that it is darker at first and lightens progressively, but my colour looked very ashy and dull. Not really what I asked for. Cannot seem to get the colorist to let me be the blonde girl I've always been.I'm not having much luck getting to the color I want. Initially was told I'd need to go darker strawberry to transition to the light strawberry I opted for (given that the only other color that was recommended/permitted was the same light brown that grows, free of charge, out of my head). Went dark strawberry, way too dark for my comfort but an apparently necessary stop on the way to a lighter strawberry...Also way too gold so I went elsewhere to buy toner because eSalon doesn't sell toner. (???) Explained all of this to my colorist when it came time to adjust my color and was assured that they would adjust my next order accordingly. Received notification that my new color was about to be shipped, an entirely different color as per the formula pie chart. But only color for my roots. Went back and forth with my colorist (not least because the cost of coloring my entire head had gone from $12 to $70?!?) but eSalon, to it's credit, threw in an extra bottle of color so my roots and ends would match. Colored a couple of weeks ago, new color is still really dark, and really gold. Had to go out and buy toner again. I don't understand why this is happening- it's not like I'm trying to get from black to platinum here, people. If my colorist refuses to make with the bleach this next time around I will be cancelling for good. No point spending money and taking the time to do this myself if I can't get something close to what makes me feel like me. Two stars because the packaging is beautiful, instructions are really easy to follow, and customer service always gets right back to me. Does not lastMy last shipment was disappointing. It was a totally different color than I had from the previous month. My hair was so dark I almost cried. The only good thing is that it covered the grey hairUnfortunately, I did not get what I wanted and I what I was looking for. I wanted lighter colour, given options were not close enough to what I want. Unfortunately, the colour appeared a bit too dark, more into the black side. I was following precisely all instructions but... Not sure I will reorder it as there was too much of ammonium as well. I know that you will say that to colour grey hair you need ammonium... mmm... not sure, as it was well coloured in Aveda salons, definitely there was not as much of it as I got in this pack. I have not had a head ache after colouring for a long time and this time I've got it. I know there is no one cure for everyone, I am sure there are customers with great results. I didn’t for me! I would not recommend it!This arrived a few day in the mail. It’s well packaged and all. i was so excited to open it and use it. Well i finally used it and it did not work. My sister latter may hair with the solution. as in did it in small section to not miss and hair! After following the instructions it did not work! My gray hair that was pretty obvious for us to miss is still the same. I mean not even a hint of color got absorbed. The other thing is the chemical smell was so strong and it smelled for a few day after the first washing. I’m so disappointed not going to purchase again! I would not recommend this. Great color but lasts 2 weeks before grays appear and color fades outLike the way my hair feels and the hair color does not have a strong ammonia color. Wash my hair every other day. Gray coverage lasts 2 weeks then return. Have tried root touch up and same is true. Follow all of the directions but still feel the color fades too quickly. Wasn't what I asked forI've been asking to even out my hair for months and they keep sending the same thing so I am wasting my time. Unfortunately not for meIve had 3 attempts with esalon. I wanted a nice medium copper red. First time it was more rose gold and faded very quickly, got in touch and they changed the colour, but again it was still more rose gold than copper, changed the colour again but still not happy with it. I’ve now gone back to box dye. Shame really, because the idea is great. Waste of timeI coloured my hair with a copper brown. I started with a couple of greys and my hair is a medium brown. After following the instructions to the letter I still have medium brown hair that has a cheap red tinge in the sun but is still brown in every other way except for the greys that are still visible. Still too darkThis time I did my roots first for 40 minutes and then the rest for 5-10 minutes. It covered my roots really well, but the rest of my hair came out too dark. Wish I hadn'tI have tried three times to get this color right. It seems like the very friendly people I talk to don't really hear or pass on what I say. Despite small tweaks each of the three times, the "demi" permanent medium blonde color seems to permanently turn my hair coppery red. Wish I could undo it but the only solution I was offered this last time was to order another set to which that they would add more blue. Color was not even closeI ordered medium blonde intense copper. The results turned out medium blonde with light brown tone. Very unhappy. I followed directions right and still turned out a ugly color. Had to go to the store and get blonde highlights to fix it. I would not recommend. horrible serviceI order this kit 2 times the first time it was beautiful came out great didnt cover the grey like I was hoping for but it was good. Then my husband set up a subscription for valentines day for me and got the Darkest brown with intense purple my the top of my hair turned light brown with a red tint and the rest of it was dark brown no purple at all drugstore purple box dye would off game me a better color then this. I got ahold.of Sarah and she was completely rude not helpful at all ended our chat in the middle of the conversation she went and turned off my plan without asking me if I wanted her I never told her to do that when I went in there to get a hold of the specialist they were offered me a free set so I could explain what happend and try again. Do NOT BuyI was impressed when I received my order as it came nicely packaged. I took a test strand and applied the product for 30 minutes. When I washed it out, the strand was orange and brassy. I made it clear to the colorist that there was no existing color in my hair and that I did not want any brassiness. I even purchased a toner. Anyway the color was brutal. I was not given the opportunity to receive a refund when I sent pictures of the strand test. I was immediately told that the color I bought would be modified. I received the new order and performed a strand test. This time, the color went on like purple and when I washed it out, it was a darker brass. When I reached out to the company for a refund, I was advised that since I had received their complimentary reformulation, they are unable to issue a refund for the order. Per their satisfaction guarantee, they offer a complimentary reformulation or a refund. (This explains the quick response to my email with no option of a refund). Farbe leider nicht wie erwartetDas Set ist wunderschön & sehr liebevoll eingepackt :-) Beim Färben selbst sollte man auf jeden Fall auf gute Belüftung achten, weil der Geruch recht aggressiv in der Nase, in den Augen und beim Atmen brennt. Leider ist die Farbe nicht so geworden wie auf dem Vorschaufoto angegeben. Auf diesem sah sie deutlich heller aus. So ist sie im Enddefekt maximal eine Viertel Nuance als meine Naturhaarfarbe geworden, schade. Didn't completely cover :-(For some reason the hair color didn't cover evenly. I followed the instructions. I timed the roots for 15 minutes, then finished the application and left it on for the recommended 5 minutes. Terriblement déçueBonjour, Je n ai eu que pour la racine et voilà très déçue du résultat... je pense arrêter esalon... je n avais pas de roux sur mes racines forcément et là ça tire su Le Roux et comme rien a mettre saus à la toute fin sur les longueurs et bien j ai toujours les reflets roux... une couleur pour rien à part empirer j aurais mieux fait de rien faire. Light Brown Custom Made ColourThe box arrived with instructions very nicely. However, when ordering I indicated that I wanted to get rid of the red tone in my hair and when I added the colour it just did the same. Sadly disappointedWas excited about this colour opportunity at home and enthusiastically recruited my wife to assist with colouring. Root colour was nice, not a huge amount of colour definition but enough, a nice colour and credit to the wife for doing a decent root stretch. Ends colour, poor. It's given a warmer tone but not the colour I wanted at all, it's barely noticeable and my hair feels dry to boot. Generally disappointed and not sure I'll order again in all honesty. Pas ce que je souhaitais, vraiment trop foncé.La couleur est trop foncée, trop de châtain et pas assez de cuivré. L'odeur à l'application est très forte, heureusement, le shampoing et après shampoing rattrape car très bon parfum. Will not use againSince I used this product my hair has been breaking off and falling out. I was not very satisfied with the color but losing my hair is a lot more upsetting than not getting exactly the color I wanted. All wrongThe color turned out closer to a lighter brown and didn’t cover my grey. I will now have to wait color again with the brand I generally use so that I don’t over process my hair. It was okayIt was okay, the smell was pretty intense and my hair got really staticy after coloring but im going to try for a couple of months before i decide if i will continue with esalon or not. Also, i requested a color change and no one has gotten back to me, i would like to put my order in early but i need to find out if they are able to accomodate my request or not. ÄrgerlichFarbe + Entwickler in dem Set reichen hinten und vorne nicht aus! Ich hatte angeben dass ich viele und dicke Haare habe. In der der ersten Antwort Mail schrieb man mir, mein Set sei nur für eine Ansatz Färbung gedacht (ich wollte einen komplett neuen Farbton erzielen) und wenn ich die Farbe in den Längen auffrischen wolle, könne ich ja noch ein weiteres Produkt bestellen. In der zweiten Antwort hiess es, das Set sei sehr wohl für eine komplett Färbung gedacht. Wenn ich das Set zurückgebe, bleibe ich auf den Versandkosten sitzen, obwohl der Fehler nicht bei mir liegt. Total disasterI’ve ordered dark brown with golden undertones... I followed the instructions precisely and what I’ve got is a pure black helmet. I wanted to cover my greys, this didn’t happen either. Not the color I orderedMy hair is a dark blonde, and I wanted to go lighter so I ordered a medium blonde specifically asking to go lighter off the photos I sent in. I was disappointed when I tested the color on my hair and it turned darker! It was not at all the color that was shown on the description. Dislike for the dye did not cover greyI requested grey coverage but the dye did not change or cover my grey at all.
