Poor Application DirectionsBy insisting in the directions that I begin with the new growth area, it created a hot copper area while the rest of my hair is brown. I look ridiculous. Too Dark, not at all blondeI never was happy with the color as it is brown, but very pretty on me. I will restart but am afraid I won't be happy with the color again. I want blonde hair and your dye turned me brown so I bleached it off. When I asked you for a toner for my now fully bleached hair you said you don't reccomend I tone my bleached hair. Soo much NOT what I wantedI picked beautiful ginger colour. I got a rather dark brown with warm red hints instead. Doesn't matter my hair stayed nice and soft after dying when I have to now go to the shop and after a bit of wait get my old colour. Now I look older and not like me. I hate the result I got. AwfulBlotchy, didn’t even color my roots, the last step to rub color into my roots is an awful awful experience. My scalp burned my hair felt dry and it looked terrible. Ordered medium brown, got dark chocolate. Hair feels great, though!The dark chocolate color is beautiful, don't get me wrong, and my hair feels healthy and lovely. On the other hand, I expressed a desire for a medium brown since this was my first time using eSalon. Maybe it will lighten up, but when I got was most certainly not medium brown. It is a lovely shade of deep chocolate. I have the unfortunate sensation that I will go back to the boxed stuff so I can count on a particular color. Such a strong ammonia smell!I was really excited when I received this kit, I loved all the personalisation and individual bottles. But upon opening the colours to I felt poisoned by the ridiculously intense ammonia smell that burnt my nose and it was therefore an unpleasant experience when applying on my hair. Missing itemsI received my hair dye kit and was very surprised to not receive my whole kit. It is missing my shampoo and conditioner package and the stain remover and the gel to put around your face to help the dye wipe clean. The price has went up and now the quantity is going down. No gray coverage at allWhen I signed up for the service, I explained that my gray hairs are incredibly difficult to cover. I was reassured that this product was going to be custom-made to take care of this problem. After following the instructions to a T, my gray hairs were not covered at all. I now have nice vibrant dark hair with brilliantly bright gray hairs showing. Unfortunately, this is my second experience with the company and I was told they would make the product stronger for my coverage. I don't know if they failed put that memo in when making my Custom kit, or if their products are just not quality, but I am beyond disappointed. Never Again!!You have absolutely ruined my hair! Feels like hay!! Its breaking and falling out. I've never had issues like that with my hair. The color I asked came out too dark which didn't really matter because it washed out pretty quickly my grays are now a rusty color and look hideous!! I'd rather have my gray hair 🙄 I'm so disappointed and so traumatized by this product. Please please don't try this product if you love your hair. Go to a salon or embrace what you have. I am so sad. Don’t recommendThe color match was great. It did not last very long at all. I started out telling them I need something for stubborn greys and they didn’t send something to cover that. When I let them know, they sent another one free that covered them better. However after about 3 washes (with color safe shampoo and conditioner) neither dye lasted. Store bought dye lasts longer. Sister did color co by Loreal was nice and has stayed we color 3 days apart. Very nice coloring. Mom used Madison Reed color is beautiful. Poor coverage, hair feels roughI've found that while using the e-salon dye, my hair doesn't feel soft and beautiful like it normally does. The dye makes it feel rough and straw-like. I've also found that the colour doesn't always cover my regrowth, even when I know that all of my regrowth is covered. It is often patchy and has a very different shade than the main hair colour (which was an issue when I was first sent the colour, but now the main lengths have faded). It’s nice, but...It doesn’t cover my greys. I don’t have much, but this doesn’t cover them. The color also fades relatively quickly. I only wash my hair two or three times a week, I use color safe shampoo and conditioner, and I deep condition twice a week. I also asked for an ash tone to knock down the warmth in my hair, and this didn’t do that. Colour not remotely similarOrdered Dark Blonde (cool beige) which was being applied to already coloured hair (golden blonde). The aim was to tone down the existing brassy tone and go a slightly darker blonde. The result was not even remotely blonde, my hair has turned light chestnut brown with a horrible rust tinge (when I expressly stated I didn't want brassy tones). I am not a novice when it comes to home colouring and this is by far the worst colour result I've ever experienced. I am now stuck with this horrible dark rust colour until I can see my hairdresser to correct it and thanks to the pandemic I can't get an appointment before June. Terribly greasy even after washing several times a day.Once color was completed, my hair looked so greasy it looked like I just washed with with a bottle of vegetable oil. Not quite what I expectedI ordered a mahogany color semi-permanent color which took a very long time to arrive. I eventually received it and you sent me an extra set for the wait. Much appreciated. However, I was not aware that your service sends you the set on a rotation, meaning I may not want this color the next time I dye my hair. So, I am trying to figure out how to send it back. Now, about the color. It came out more purple which is cool but a bit to dark at first, although, it does mellow, but most people saw purple rather than mahogany red. Also, it didn't cover my greys that well but that may have been the application itself. Not recommended for going lighter, made hair orange!I have dark blonde hair that hasn't been coloured in years. I chose a medium blonde ash hair colour from eSalon and the tint rinse for blonde hair just incase there was a bit of unwanted tones after colouring. Followed all the instructions but my roots came out ginger/orange and the tint rinse did nothing to neutralise this. Didn't like it!It was supposed to be a reddish-brown, it turned out more of a maroonish color. I wish I had never tried it. It was now where near a brownish-red. I usually use Preference by Loreal BR1 (cinnamon) Mega Brown and told them. I thought I'd get something close, but that was not the case. I'm so glad I canceled after I got the first one. AVOID!! JUST GO TO THE HAIRDRESSERSI'm not sure who you have mixing the colours but they need sacking! My first ever order arrived today couldn't bare the excitement of my new salon coloured hair. Followed the instructions down to a T to make sure it turned out just the way it should. As applying the product it started to look quite dark on the places I'd added it to keeping in mind on the test I noted that I had yellowish blonde hair and was looking for the ashy blonde shade shown (that I could apparently have with my original hair colour) so all completed did the 2 to 3 min scrub into my hair with water. Decided I would wash out shampoo condition and style before I properly looked and hey presto job done I now have orange yellow hair no ashy tone at all just an orange tinge to the yellow underbase!! Two different colors!!!!I look awful! I wanted a red like I usually go with. I had quite a bit of grow out, So my kit came with a root color and an end color. These are two wildly different colors!!! My roots are a deep brown and my ends are a bright, bozo-esque, red. Nice colorI liked the color and waited 36 hours to wash it and was disappointed when some color came out. It wasn’t the bold color that it was right after the initial wash. Also was very disappointed with how strong the smell was when applying it to my hair... that was horrible. Other than that I liked the initial result.
