I like the color blend, but I still have stubborn grays that will not cover up. I don't like the smell, it's very strong. Needs a lot of ventilation, which I do not have. The timing is excellent, short and sweet. I love the shampoo and conditioner. It leaves my hair feeling soft any silky. I would recommend this to my friends but I would warn them of the ammonia smell.

I've had many women compliment me on my color of my hair. It's not that often that I get it but I always brag and tell them that I color my hair with products from eSalon.

I have always colored my own hair, but I started finding in my 50's & 60's the grey hair would not take color. It would only last for a few weeks, and the color would always be darker for the first week or so (2 to 3 washings) then i would get the color I wanted, and it would be time to start all over again. THEN COMES E SALON, they specially formulize my hair color just for me. And it covers the grey, is the color its suppose to be when I color it and it stays the right color until it is time to color growth again. AMAZING!! I highly recommend E SALON

My hair has never looked better!
I was using a box color for my red-
and the manufacturer kept changing my color!! Which means you can't get it any more- unless you go on Amazon and be expected to pay way to much! So glad I found esalon!! My color will never change!! Unless, I change it !!!!!

Having picked the colour I wanted with th gold tones ..I cannot fault the colourant in any way. I get the same affects each time no deviation. Because my hair is very slow growing I'm lucky my roots don't show for quite awhile but my main colour doesn't fade In between. I'm really pleased that I followed a friends advice n chose e-salon.

Love my color thought i could wait longer between treatments but I was wrong and had to shortening my order to two months instead of three and my color matches my new granddaughter's hair color I get lots of comments that she looks just like me.

I was a little nervous at first, only have had one person color my hair ever, it took me a while before I decided to do it. It turned out great and was very pleased with the color. My only problem is that I only color my hair twice a year, and you don't have a auto order for that but I will be back to order manually, if I can get a price.

I love my custom hair color. People are surprised to find out that I color my hair. My stylist is amazed how shiny my hair is even after 6 weeks. Store bought box colors and beauty store colors always faded out and looked awful by the end of the month. Not my custom color. I've even skipped a month and my color was still shiny after two months. Of course my grey hair was back but that's a loosing battle. I highly recommend eSalon and tell all my friends they should try it.
Update 06-18-16 Just tweaked my color a bit for something different and eSalon mixed it perfect! I was a little worried just because it still looked like it had a lot of red, something I wanted less of. The final result was exactly what I wanted. I didn't think eSalon could impress me any more but they did it. Love eSalon going on 5 years now.

I train jujitsu and work out almost daily. So I need to wash my hair a lot and the color does not stay in under those circumstances. Any helpful advice? I do like your product my hair is always complimented on the color.

I hate to sound like a broken record but I love my hair color; just love it!!!. It was abit hard to follow the directions but you will end up with the kind of hair coloring that looks natural. Never before when home-dyeing my hair, have I been able to see actual highlights in my hair color. I mean It is NOT all one color and it looks so glossy and bright. Whatever light you are in you can see the range of colors that make your new hair color look natural but oh so much better. I had been used "Madison Reed" hair coloring which sent me one hair color bottle and it made my hair look so fake with all the red highlights that I had not wanted to come out. In fact I have a whole kit from them that I will sell at my yard sale cuz I am hooked on eSalon....Thank you Courtney for being my own haircolorist because you got it right, girlfriend!!!!!! Women of the world don't hesitate to try this. You will fall in love with your hair all over again.

I loved the fact that there is enough to cover my hair....I have long hair. Hours later, I did have a little reaction on a half dollar size of my scalp. I have used other Products for years and just recently had a reaction to the hair color. I believe there is something in the black dye that I am now having reactions to. I am thinking about trying the dark brown color.

Edges of hair goes back to natural gray color a lot faster now that I am swimming approximately 3 to 5 days a week in a indoor pool. Is it possible to get color half in one bottle and half in another sinse it's mainly the edges that I need to redo? (More often) by the way how does this hair color and chlorine treat the hair? Excellent product my hair is now the same colour all over !!!
When I opened the box and saw all the products it scared me but was very easy to use. I even managed to dye only my hair and not the bathroom floor 10/10

Love the color. I dyed my hair then went to get it cut. My stylist loved the color. She couldn't get over how well it matched my skin tone. Even my husband like it he hates when I dye my hair . He said sometimes I got it too dark. Not anymore I will be ordering esalon forever.

I do like the product. To me it is no different than store bought. However having is scheduled to come automatically allows me to stay on top of my grey hair without the fear of not finding the correct color when needed. Downfall, there is no changing your hair color. The colorist will say no every time, no matter what. So now I have canceled my orders and will go back to the salon. Thank you e salon, the ride was nice while it lasted.

I WAITED TO APPY TO MY HAIR SO MY PREVIOUS HAIR COLOR WORE OFF AND MORE GREY BECAME PRESENT. I WAS HAPPY WITH THE KIT AND INSTRUCTIONS. THE COLOR WAS GREAT AND AT THAT TIME ALL MY GREY HAD BEEN COVERED. THE PREVIOUS HAIR COLOR WOULD LEAVE A GOOD AMOUNT OF GREYS SHOWING AROUND THE FACE HAIR LINE. THIS ONE NOTHING WAS LEFT UNCOLORED. I finally have my red hair back!
In the last two years my vibrant red hair faded and became a reddish blonde with silver streaks. I didn't mind it much until I started to notice that the blonde was becoming more silver. That's not a good discovery when you're just starting to come to terms with the fact that your next birthday is going to be the big 4-0.
After seeing a review about eSalon on Youtube I decided to give it a shot and I am so glad that I did. The Match-Up process was easy and my order arrived sooner than expected. With the detailed instructions it was easy to apply and the color is exactly what I wanted. I look like me again and I couldn't be happier!
My only critique would be that the color tends to run a bit when being applied so make sure that you apply the Stain Guard liberally to the entire perimeter of your hairline and to your ears as well. This advice may fall under the category of "Duh!" but trust me, if you miss a spot it will end up stained and if you're extremely fair like me you'll regret it. The Stain Remover works great, but it didn't remove all of the dye.

I've been using eSalon for two years now and I love the ability to make subtle adjustments to my originally chosen color. It took some time, but gradually, with several small changes, we've arrived at a shade and tone I want to stick with. Trying to explain this at a salon never seemed to work well for me. As a redhead, I always ended up with different shades of (way too bright) red and orange which were often disastrous! The colorists at eSalon helped me find just the right shade of brownish/tawny/red that suits me perfectly and blends well with my roots allowing me to color less often. I get constant compliments on my hair now. No more Bozo the clown! And most importantly, each time I color, I get consistent results. eSalon is my salon for life.

Have been using this color for awhile now. It is pricey compared to over the counter and I sometimes stretch my coloring with a root touch up product in between to save on cost. Initially the color is a little too dark but after about 2 weeks of shampoos it is closer to where I want it. Still a hint of red tones which I don't like. Gives great shine and does have the tones and highlights I like.

I've used drug store dye as well as had my hair done professionally. I began to use eSalon as a way to save on my $200 cut and color.
I am fairly impressed with eSalon! It is way better than a drug store kit - the colors don't turn out brassy or heavy, which a lot of cheap dyes do.
It was much harder to dye my hair when it was long, once I cut it short the color was more even. However the color issues might be due to poor hair health as well as my inexperience in dealing with long hair.
Overall, I would recommend eSalon as an excellent diy coloring kit!

I am loving the way the color covers my grey--and the way it's looking as it fades / washes out! My grey is showing up more as golden toned hi lights two weeks after coloring with the demi-permanent formula. I experienced some burning feelings the last 10 minutes of processing time which resolved after it was fully rinsed, but was uncomfortable enough to only give the entire experience four stars.

I've used many different coloring products and nothing comes close to this one. With the store bought brands, my color would fade after two weeks with gray roots showing. I just though my hair was growing and breaking off. It wasn't With this color, for me, it lasts approximately three weeks before I see a little gray around my temples. It's a great product. It also makes my hair nice and shiny and it looks healthy.

This is not a color I could get off of the store shelf. I love how this red color is not too bright, and looks very natural. For the price I will continue to use it. It is a lot more affordable than going to the salon.

I made the appointment in person, before I colored my hair. Plenty of inches of non-colored hair showing. They saw and commented. I said I was going to color with e-salon, just booked in for a style cut. The next day, they couldn't believe it. Said they couldn't see where the coloring had been done, just as good as they could have done, and wanted to know which brand it was. Yes!!

I couldn't apply this on my own, as a bit tricky. The colour was lovely, but my grey is very resistant, so it started to come through after a couple of weeks. The esalon team were more than happy to help by making my next one a little stronger, so I'll wait and see. Great customer service, and beats spending a lot of money in a salon!

Usually I have the issue at hairdressers that my scalp is burning after a few minutes of application. Then it doesn´t stop til it is washed out. So I didn´t make this experience with my "personal colour" Yes!

My goal every time I have ever colored my hair was get as close to what my natural color was when I was in my early twenties. Usually my hair turns out unnaturally red. Everyone knew I colored my hair. With this product I finally got my natural hair color back.

I've been using your product for a long time now, and I don't think I've changed it much since starting, but I get the best compliments on my hair. I have friends that still spend hundreds of dollars on their hair, and products and then when you see them, they are NOT satisfied with the color...something is always a miss. BUT not mine...I love it. I may be boring to some, because I'm not doing highlights, low lights and this and that, but I love it being the way it is...consistent. Thanks for being there for the monthly reminders that it's time for me to do my hair again. My crazy, busy, schedule, doesn't really allow for me to stop and smell the roses right now, so thank you for making me do that, and getting something done for ME.

I love the product. The color was a great choice. It's now 2 weeks into the color and it looks just a bit lighter. The color covered my gray completely. I may just go one shade darker because of the oxidation.

Over the years, I've used Sun In to highlight my hair. But, as I've gotten older, I've realized that it doesn't cover the gray hairs. So, I've started looking for a product to start coloring my hair. (I've also used the temporary hair colors over the years, but wasn't that thrilled with them.) When I placed my first order, the person who helped me to select the right color was awesome. She realized that the color I had chosen was incorrect for me and knew exactly which one to choose! It was perfect and I've received MANY compliments since using your hair color (and shampoo/conditioner). (People say they like it better than the Sun In color!) Thank you so much for a great product that truly does look great, easy to use and clean up!

I have not used liquid color for years. I have gone total cream for so long I completely forgot how easy it was to apply and work with liquid coloring.. I am really pleased with you products. the only thing I have a problem with are your prices. Being on Social Security is really hard and I cannot afford to double my cost in hair coloring.

Silver haired and finally convinced to color my hair. Product and instructions easy to use and follow. Has taken a week or so and seems to have darkened a shade or two since first day. My hair feels great, I like the look, everyone says I should go just a little darker. Covers the gray ok. Still don't know about the long run outcome.

About 2 weeks after I first colored my hair with your product, I got a body wave. It hardly oxidized my color. Just colored my hair 2 weeks after body wave and still loving how it makes my hair feel.

Being partialy handicapped it's hard for me to color my hair so my sister-in-law does it for me. Although the instructions are easy to read and follow it took us a couple of tries to perfect the whole procedure. She's not a beautician and was petrified that she would ruin my hair. If I have a question the employees are always there to help. I called once to tell them the color wasn't covering some of my gray hair. The technician listened to my concerns and adjusted the formula and its been perfect since. My color is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! I've had strangers actually come up and tell me I've got gorgeous hair. When I tell them it's dyed they can't believe it because it looks so natural. Of course, I tell them how and where they can get the same results. I've been a satisfied customer since September of 2014.

The made for you hair color is a great match for me because it matches my roots that come in. My hair used to be light blonde but has been coming in darker as I get older so it's best to have a darker blonde. The new mixture turned out pretty. Hair color tends to bring out the red in my hair but the mixture did not turn my hair orange, which is the problem I have had in the past with over the counter hair colors.

I have been using the e-salon custom hair color for a couple of years now. They have customized the color to my liking. I don't think I will ever go back to store bought hair color.

The color change recommendation was right on time. At first when I applied the color I thought it was going to turn out bright red. That's not what I was going for. When I rinsed it out,
Looked in the mirror, I was quite pleased. The gray was beautifully colored to blend in well.

Giving up dark blonde and admitting I really have mousy brown hair led me to make my first order. I had no idea what I was doing (It was the first time I've ever colored my hair by myself) and selected a color I thought I would like, but it turned out I didn't. The color itself looked fantastic and I got a ton of comments - I just didn't like it. I left feedback and was able to talk with a live person who helped me problem solve. Just finished applying my second order and absolutely love my hair! It's good to know that eSalon cares and is responsive!

I had tried all the hair colourants on the shelves, so many in fact that I started making a list so that I didn't make the mistake of getting the same one again. They either made no difference to the colour of my hair or was too dark which makes me look ill, too light makes me look old. eSalon has changed all that I'm now more than satisfied with my colour, it's exactly what I've been looking for, for about 14 years.

It was a little dark to start with but it lightened up just fine. I have been pleased and my hair stylist was shocked how good the color was & the great job I did.

After reviewing my pre photos, my stylist picked a different color than I originally asked for, so I was a little apprehensive. Especially after reading some very negative comments on a Facebook advertisement post (where I had first hear of the site) mostly from what I now assume were professional stylists trying to ward off Esalon's potential new customers. However; in the end, I agreed to the Esalon stylist's suggestion and went for it. I was pretty excited when it arrived! The box itself was adorable. I carefully followed the instructions exactly, even though it was quite edifferent than the store box brands I'd used before! Well let me just say, I am beyond satisfied!! The color is amazing, all the greys are covered, from root to tip the shade is flawless (even though I had a severe line going on), and to top it all off there wasn't a strong chemical smell to my hair after using the complimentary shampoo and conditioner. I'm soooo hooked! Consider me a customer for life!

The colour match and advice was spot on. The shampoo and conditioner were also fab. My curls were lovely and shiny afterwards which I haven't had previously with store bought dyes.
After 3 weeks my roots are coming through unfortunately.

We're trying to save money this year and pay off our debt. So, I decided to try this. It works good. The gray seems to not take so well....I tried to put ALOT on it. But, overall I like it!

I liked the hair color you matched me with. Didn't cover the grey around hairline and part as well as I thought it should. Maybe I removed it to soon? Followed directions but my grey is stubborn. How often can I color again?

As a redhead, nothing and nobody has ever matched my natural hair colour, until I found this product. It is exactly right and I don't know how it could be better.

I have had my hair dyed to its natural color in salons since I was 28 years old due to early greying. Until I found eSalon I would never have dreamed of doing it myself, because that is not the type of woman I am. I always go to the highest rated, and therefore often the most expensive salon, I can get an appointment at where ever I live. However, twenty years after I started coloring my hair two events coincided: I learned about eSalon and I finally had enough of paying $200 every 4-5 weeks to have my hair colored. So I tried eSalon and I love the result! I can do it at my convenience, it is quick (and my hair appointments are significantly shorter) and I pay a tenth for it. If I can figure out how to do it without partially dying my bathroom walls as well, I will never go back.

Matching colors with the many on the shelves is really difficult and I was pleasantly surprised how the colour matched my hair, having some old hilights has enhanced the effect of the colour, it is natural, hair feels smooth and best of all is easy to use, everything you need is supplied. I shall be using in future and it's a lot cheaper than my hairdresser but just as good!
