Awful business practicesI purchased what I thought was a one time color order to get me through the covid19 stay at home order but was surprised to get a notice from PayPal of another shipment. I logged on and canceled the subscription right away and called to try to get the charges reversed since it took 2 WEEKS to receive my initial color order but was told they could not reverse the charges or stop the order. PLEASE do not be sucked in by these poor business practices. I'll never use this service again and will never recommend this company to others. Darker than my natural colour, too warm for my skin. No reply from ColouristThe colour was different from what I was expecting. I was told the colour I chosen was much lighter than my natural colour, and I was suggested to go to a darker shade, which I accepted. The colourist sent me an email with the colour suggestion which I wasn't happy with so I wrote him back straight away to ask for a few adjustments, but he never replied. In fact I wrote him twice. The colour he chosen was shipped anyway and being in Lockdown with very long roots I didn't have a choice so I used it anyway. the colour turned out to not be as bad, but one or 2 shades darker than my natural colour and too warm for my skin colour. My skin is olive so warm shades don't suit me. I tried to adjust my colour BEFORE it was shipped but no response. I was so hopeful I wouldn't have t go back to hairdresser saloon, where I spend a fortune and a good chunk of my day.... But I guess this is why we pay the extra money, so you can actually speak to a professional and have a proper personalised service.....Hope my colour will be adjusted on next order otherwise I'll just have to be patient and go back to my hairdresser as soon as the quarantine is over. 1 de 1 personas encontraron este comentario útil. ¿Y tú? |

ammonia and sulfiteI thought that I was receiving Madison Reed products. I cannot use products with ammonia or sulfites. I had used Madison Reed without any problems that I purchased at Ulta. The product that I received from eSalon caused an allergic reaction with hives requiring the use of rescue allergy medications. I also had scabs on my head for a few days. Strong ammoniaThe smell of regret singed my nose and eyes from the moment I mixed this color. While it did a great job covering 30% stubborn grey, my hair smelled like ant poison for a day. I’d like to say the color was worth it, but my fine curly hair was transformed into a reddish brown Brillo pad. I carefully processed 20 min per the directions, left it 5 min in my ends, and although it’s consistent- it’s flat- no dimension or copper red tone at all. Daily conditioner, leave in treatment, and hair oils for a week have barely helped. The ammonia hydroxide allows the hair follicles to absorb the dye, resulting in increased coverage and longer lasting color. Not customThis bums me out. I have tried countless times to tweak this hair color, but can’t get in touch with anyone. I have e-mailed/submitted questions and gotten no response, other than to say my color (unchanged) is “on the way”. It feels like a waste of time and I feel ignored at this point. This could be a great company if they could work out the kinks and pay attention to their clients. Poor choiceFollowing every direction, this item did NOT work. It only slightly tinged my hair orange instead of lifting to a medium blonde. I also added it to the bottom fringe of my daughter’s hair for a little fun, with literally no change. Good, will try againEasy to use but color is darker than I like and didn’t cover the few gray strands I have at the root. May have been user error as I didn’t leave on the full time recommended. So Upset with My Ruined HairI thought I was so careful to follow all of the directions and watched all of the videos but I got black/dark brown ends with a nice red-blonde color over the rest. I immediately sent an email asking for help but after no response I have scheduled an expensive repair at a salon. I am a natural strawberry blonde and only started dying my hair last year when I began to see grey's. Chemical smell was aweful!!Somewhat disappointed in the product! asked to not have a red tint to my color! I have a red tint to my hair! Also, my husband had to use a respirator mask when he helped apply my color! The chemical smell was AWEFUL!! We both have respiratory problems! Uneven coloringDecided to do something a little different from just dark brown and choose to try Dark Brown (Intense Pearl). There's NO PURPLE anywhere. Front part of my head is at least the dark brown but the back is a red-ish brown and under in the back is light basically my natural color still. I HAVE A LOT OF HAIR IT'S LONG THICK AND CURLY. I submitted pictures to make sure they knew how much hair I have. 2 bottles although I Was assured would be enough definitely wasn't and I knew it wouldn't be. When doing it at home I used 3-4 boxes of dye and when I had it done in a salon setting was told I used the amount of dye she would use for 3 heads. Wrong Color Every TimeI have tried this product 4 times, Everything else is great. The packaging, ease of use, and even the color coverage. However, every single time they have sent me the wrong color. I have requested red/auburn from the very first time. My hair was blonde. If they got it right the first time it would have been perfect. Four tries later, I still ended up with brown hair with a slight red tint. I have determined it's not worth it to keep trying. Good colour but...The colour was good but the roots of my hair were a shade lighter even though I left it on for as long as recommended. The colour for the ends turned my hair nearly black so I wore a hat a lot for a few weeks. They didn't take into account I wanted to keep my lighter ends even though I specified. The only way I could correct it was by spending double to fix their mistake which I wasn't willing to do. Not happy with my color outcomeAlthough my hair seemed to stay in good condition, my color outcome was not good. My hair, which I noted, tends to go brassy. With the hair color that was sent my hair was orange to brass color. Not a good look. It did not cover up the grey, but at least the grey is not brassy. What a strange color of hair I have right now. Have not been able to find anything to take the brass out. Just have to go with a carrot top for now. 😔. Great colorI like the color. First time it lasted months. Second time it's lasted two weeks and the gray is starting to show. I also bought the rinse. I'm not liking the way it makes my hair feel. I thought the color was right until I looked at the order and should of gotten the darker choice. Super BrassyI had high hopes for this hair color, unfortunately I am so unhappy with my color. I specifically stated when I ordered that I didn't want any brassiness and now I ended up with ginger dark blond hair.... which is fine if that's what you want but it was supposed to be a beige ashy blond to prevent the brassiness. The smell was also horrendous I couldn't be in the shower with the shower curtain closed because I couldn't breathe from the ammonia. Now I need to figure out what will happen if I put regular box dye over this to correct the color. No different than drugstore box colorsI was so ready to lighten my roots and cover the grey and was excited at receiving my delivery. The instructions were easy to follow and the supplies (brush, 2 sets of gloves and stain guard) were appreciated but that is where my happiness ends and disappointment begins. The developer smelled just as bad as any drugstore box color (it gave me such a migraine) and it took longer than expected (my own fault for lack of experience). I waited the required time (30min per instructions) and upon rinsing my hair (not as messy as i thought it would be), washing and then styling, my hair felt dried out and the color had me crying (still does). I'm a bright blonde, close to platinum with chocolate tinted lowlights. My roots are now more strawberry blonde and did not blend well with my ends. My roots are still visible, they do not match. It's not what i expected given how eSalon advertises their "custom fit coloring with soft and shiny results". Customizable ColorGood Afternoon- I understand that I was able to notate that I was unhappy with the color from my first order, but when I colored my hair, I was disappointed because my hair looked black rather than dark brown. I followed all of the steps when picking out the personalized color and even washed the color out a few minutes earlier. I felt embarrassed to complain, so I canceled my future orders, but I apparently canceled too late and my order shipped out the next day. I am not sure what to do with the product I currently have, and cannot use being that it is only to color my roots and the rest of my hair has since lightened. Great Color but not for me!Hello eSalon, I only rated this color at 3 because I thought that it was going to be more blonde than copper. I should have known that the copper was going to overtake the blonde on my grey/white hair. It is not your fault that now my hair is intense copper all over with hardly any blonde except slightly around the edges. I don't like it. However, everything else was fine and the entire kit was great. Had I picked the right color for me (maybe a solid blonde) I would have been able to give a 5 rating. I was very impressed with the entire kit, with detailed instructions and all items seemed of high quality. Still have greys.....The kit and process was easy to understand and use. I am 38 with a few grey hairs throughout and the color did not cover the few that I have, it also did not cover evenly from the top to bottom of my hair. Never been more disappointed.I never write reviews even for a bad experience in the past. I have a previous salon balayage done and wanted to darken by brass blonde while salons are currently closed. I answered the questionnaire and chose a dark brown mahogany option that would work on my current color. I wanted something with less maintenance, get rid of my brass, but still have a pop of color. After uploading a picture of my hair, Esalon instead chose the medium brown mahogany for me instead of dark brown. I called them regarding this as I immediately noticed that this color will still show brass and was lighter than what I was looking for. I was ensured that my color will come out darker and the formula suggested will not make my hair brassier. I decided to proceed, understanding that this formula will be made specifically to tailor my hair color needs. Today I dyed it and it made my hair even more brassier and an ugly copper color. My hair feels fried and extremely dry now when it never even did from bleaching it for my previous balayage. My salon hair looks like an at home nightmare. Before I started doing my hair at salons, I dyed my hair at home for almost 15 years. Now my hair will show in family pics tomorrow for my son’s first birthday party. I’ve never been so disappointed. Missing the brush to applyI had no idea that i was supposed to safe the applicator brush from my first purchase. The refill was disappointing because it is really difficult to apply without an applicator. I've just gone into your store to try and purchase one and they are all sold out. Not expecting this.I was expecting a beautiful pearl mahogany and ended up with just a regular dull medium brown and some red roots. I could have achieved this color a lot easier with a box of medium brown from the drugstore. It’s not flattering and isn’t even close to the shade I chose. Not the color I expected!I have been a blonde for years and always get my color done at a salon. Due to the quarantine, I had to color my own hair. Great packaging, poor colour resultsI was really excited to receive a personalised colour kit, specific to my starting hair shade and desired end result... but, it was such a disappointment! The packaging was lovely, I enjoyed the personalised labels on the bottle, which made it feel that this had been tailored to my requirements exactly. However, despite following the instructions to the letter, the end result was so similar to my original shade that it just isn't noticeable that I've coloured it at all! I had hoped to go several shades lighter, from a mid-brunette to a medium blonde, in reality, I'm now just a more consistent, flat shade of brown. No lovely multi-tonal lightening as promised by the beautiful marketing images, just a pleasant, but monotone brown.
