Easy to useAlthough the instructions are very easy to read and I was able to follow to the letter unfortunately it didn’t cover the grey as well as I had hoped. The colour however was perfect. Just OK.This color (dark blonde ash) was just OK. There were two main problems with it: 1. A bit darker than expected. It was meant to be dark blonde but there’s no blonde in this color..it’s definitely light brown. 2. SO. BRASSY. I’ve never experienced brass like this with blonde hair or brown hair, especially not on the day I colored it. The color would be fine if it wasn’t so brassy right out of the bottle. The stylist advised that this is because I chose an ash tone and that the neutral tone would work better. They said a purple shampoo would help slightly, so we’ll see how that works but I’m not too optimistic. I was also a bit disappointed that they didn’t reach our to confirm the color before shipping..it may have avoided these 2 issues. I was hoping to be able to transition to at home coloring but I don’t see that happening unfortunately. Leakage - Shampoo & ConditionerI opened the package and there was Shampoo & Conditioner on the out side of the container.. leakage.. one more question about color set. 1st order i received 2 developer with 2 colors for the root & the end. but 2nd order i revceived 1 color with 1 developer with 35 mins. Not close to the desired colorI was quite excited to try this out. I picked Darkest Brown Intense Pearl. My few gray hairs are almost covered but the color is about the same as my natural, though you might catch a touch of auburn now. No violet undertones at all. Dark blonde color, just made my hair darker....I ordered a dark blonde....my roots are my natural brown color and my ends are already a dark blonde. Hair gone wrong,/part 2 love itI'm very disappointed in the end colour..followed instructions, but the colour looked grey once in for 22 mins.. So I washed it. The roots were quite orange. Look I did not want. After I applied custom purple shampoo to remove orange in hair..left on 15 minutes..washed it.. Once dry colour is perfect for me.. Ugh1st order was good. 2nd order there was not enough to cover all my roots, plus I had changed the color but they still only sent me a root covering kit PLUS there were grays showing not just at my roots but it had washed out of my long grays, so there was no way to cover those. wrong color/didnt likeThe color I ordered had an obvious red toned color (was called dark blonde copper) That name not only makes me believe it would have a red tone to it, the photo of the color shown showed red tone. However, the color I received had NO red in the formula at all. I had ordered this same dark blonde copper color formula in the past and was able to research it and found that all three times I had ordered this color from a now unused email, each formula had red in it. When I got this most recent color formula, no red at all listed in the pie graph and it turned out a bland mousey brown that I do not care for at all. I WANTED A RED TONE, thats why I chose that color. This last order was a remake of a previous order that again was not even the color I asked for to begin with therefore I was sent this latest color free to make up for the previous one sent....that one wasn't even the color name I request. doesn't lastI have ALOT of gray/white hair at the front of my head and I was excited to try this product and was impressed with the way the products were labeled used and explained. I followed the directions and was at first very happy with the results. but after about a week week.and a half my grays started coming back I was annoyed by this because I expected it to last longer but it didn't last any longer then the drug store versions. Not the Correct ColorFirst, I have been coloring my hair myself for 31 years and this is my first time depending on someone else who is supposed to be excellent a mixing colors and she totally blew it. My hair is washed out and not bright at all and damaged. I am so frustrated because this is supposed to be a great experience. Belle couleur mais...Belle couleur mais… dont l'application m'a sans doute pris un peu plus de temps pour la poser..., il fallait renouer avec une ancienne habitude. J'en tire la conclusion que je pouvais éviter d'étaler sur les longueurs qui sont à mon goût bcp trop foncées, dommage ! " Cette teinte s'atténuera t'elle sur la longueur avec le temps ? " De plus j'ai longtemps hésité à me lancer dans l'expérience, ai fait ma coloration le mardi 12 mai, cela fait 2 jours, je souhaite reporter la reprise des racines (uniquement) au "09 juin prochain", vous demande de retarder en conséquence votre prochain envoi. Même formule, mais technique "racine seulement". J'ai suivi les indications de ma coiffeuse à la lettre sur base châtain moyen (que je vous ai transmises), et obtient ce résultat foncé qui me heurte un peu. La formule identique sur base châtain clair, elle, me paraissait trop vive sur le site... Mon erreur est je crois d'avoir voulu raviver les longueurs, puisque c'est ce temps de pause supplémentaire qui a foncé l'ensemble. Je souhaite revoir les modèles où sont exposés tous les choix possibles pour tenter de réfléchir plus justement et reviendrai vers vous avec peut-être une photo ! Wrong colorWas supposed to have a natural copper demi....I have naturally light reddish blond hair....my hair is now a horrible brown and I cant wash it enough to get the color out. UPDATED: The company did provide a full refund without any issues, but my hair remains the wrong color, even after daily use of Biolage clarifying shampoo. I will give them credit for the color staying power. It has barely lightened in the areas where my hair was the most blond prior. I wear my hair up in a bun most days since due to the pandemic our hair salons are shuttered and I need to live with this for at least another month before I can even make an appointment. Mixed opinionI received my first ESalon colour, I loved the packaging and the instructions were very simple to understand. Unfortunately the colour did not come out as I had hoped. I ordered the light brown and it turned out slightly darker than expect and very warm, my hair is orange in the sun which I am very unhappy about and I haven’t been given much advice/ direction on how to correct it even though I have asked on more than one occasion. Not happyI was very clear explaining the color ive had for years. Red. The color i received turned my hair brown. Then i just realized already they biilled me 40 more dollars for one treatment to color roots. Its not even been a month since the fiirst order. Why 40.00. Im on ssi. Not even close to the right colourI was really excited to try this service and ordered a lovely copper Auburn colour,very similar to my childhood colour. I sent photos of my current hair colour and of exactly what I wanted. What I got was nowhere near. It's not even close. It's about 3 shades to dark at least and isn't even the right tone. I'm so so disappointed. My hair is also SO dry that I am going to have to pay a salon when I can to get it fixed. I will definitely not be recommending this to my groups. My long hair is totally ruined and I have tried unsuccessfully to contact the company for the last 4 days. Very Hard on the HairI have coloured my hair for eons and it always felt soft after. But after using my custom set, My hair was dry like straw and the colour was not any better than the professional colour I have used from Italy. HOWEVER, I did like that it came as a kit with everything i'd need including cap and gloves. But the applicator was good for me doing the entire head, and not just roots. So I mixed everything in a colour bowl and brushed the colour on like I usually do. I cancelled my subscription as my hair did not feel good at all after colouring and it should be soft and silky. Pretty disappointedWhen I came across this service I was super excited that maybe I didn’t have to frequent the salon to keep my color looking decent. The first order I received I followed the directions to the letter, but I left it on a little longer because it didn’t seem to be getting any lighter... when I was finished there was 0 change. I gave it another shot thinking maybe I did something wrong, but like the first order, the second yielded no results. I will say the customer service is great though. Schöne Haarfarbe, aber...Ich muss sagen, dass die Haarfarbe wirklich sehr schön ist, dennoch werde ich zukünftig nicht mehr über eSalon bestellen. Die erste Bestellung kam schnell und ich hatte keine Probleme meinen grauen Haaransatz zu verstecken. Die nächsten 3 Bestellungen wurden mir zwar pünktlich vom Konto abgezogen, aber mit der Lieferung der Farbe war das leider nicht so. Mit jedem Monat musste ich ein paar Tage länger warten. Schlussendlich wurde dies mit der Corona-Krise begründet, aber auch da muss dann gehandelt werden. Wenn auf einmal der online Bestell-Boom ausbricht, kann das nicht zu einem dauerhaftes Problem für die Kunden werden. Ja, ich kann mein Bestelldatum vorverlegen, aber um wieviel Tage ? Zum 20. eines Monats immer bestellt, am 22.05. E-Mail, dass Farbe versandbereit ist, ich warte heute (01.06.2020) noch immer darauf. Great colour but 3 different shades!I got a slightly different colour made up and was also sent a complimentary end colour, but the colour i put on my roots is a different colour to the ends colour. the ends are quite red whereas the roots are a lighter brown and in spots, a dark copper colour. Not sure if i did something wrong or there was something wrong with the colour this time. Leaves hair in lovely condition.I wanted a colour to ‘blend’ in they grey - this colour certainly isn’t doing that! Very pretty colour. I started as a mid blond/grey and put my request in for the colour I wanted (ash) but the colourist thought it was too light so changed it to light brown (seems to be 90% mid brown and 10% chestnut) I’m now a dark chestnut! Hey-ho lesson learned, I’ll have the chop and stick to my £6 off the shelf color in future. Color was fine - just didn't cover my grey rootsDespite leaving on for 30 minutes - then drying and putting color back on just my grey roots for another 25 minutes - it did not give me coverage. AwfulTuned my dark roots which I was trying to lighten to match my blonde highlights on the end ginger so still have two different colours in my hair. Color did very little to cover graysAfter using the product, my gray roots now look very light brown instead of the color of the rest of my hair. It did not do very well in covering the gray. I followed all the steps also. I thought I could at least have my roots covered and feel better about my hair but it looks like I am going to have to make an appointment for my hair colorist as soon as they open. Wrong color and damaged hairI had asked for a light brown and specifically said that I didn't not want red undertones. Well my hair is red!! Which is what happens when the dye has red tones in it. Also, It dried out my hair and left me with breakage. So now I have to use product all the time or it looks like I have a frizz halo!! Will not be ordering again!! Very disappointed!! Probably NotAs it was said, “trust the process;” so I did. Followed my personal instructions to a “t.” Unfortunately the tone is on the lower end of the brassy spectrum. Did order the Tint Rinse with the color package, in case there was (a slim) chance I would need it. ...well, needed it. Haven’t seen much of a tone difference as of yet. Using a purple shampoo, then a purple tint rinse (been leaving on for 8-10 mins vs the suggested 3-5 mins) followed by a purple conditioner. Have done this routine twice since coloring two days ago. Planned to give it 10-14 days before making a decision. The order process, delivery and product packaging were all quality. Color setUsed this color set today with okay results. I chose Blue Black, but unfortunately it came out soft black with no blue at all. Can't get through to talk to someone about my colorI have been trying to submit questions about the color I recieved since my former hairstylist only recently shared my color information with me. I want to talk to an expert at eSalon and compare whether what I was sent is close to what I want to match. The website has no call number and the form for requesting help does not complete the submittal. Not what I expected, very disappointedBefore the pandemic I used to do all over blonde highlights with a cool undertone in a salon. Each visit was like $200-250. It’s very hard to keep up the blonde when the salons are closed so I bought an ammonia free box dye at Target and colored my hair in a dark blonde neutral shade. It actually turned out really nicely so I did it again about a month later. And then I started seeing all these ads about custom salon quality hair color services. So I decided to try esalon. I’ve chosen dark ash blonde shade and sent them a photo along with detailed description of my previous color and hair goals. The order was delayed by about 10 days but that was not a big deal. It arrived in a nice box and clear instructions. I have to say I read all the instructions and followed it to a t! Well, first of all, the ammonia smell was unbearable and I thought I’m going to collapse! When I washed and dried my hair I was so upset! I had orange brassy roots and the length was much lighter and warmer than what I expected. It was supposed to be a dark ash blonde! Well it was far from it. I had to research my options how to cover up this mess. I bought a color depositing deep conditioner in light brown and purple to counteract those brassy roots and cover light yellow blonde on the length. That was an additional $60 but it looks decent now. I wish I just bought one of those ammonia free natural box dyes and saved my hair from damage, disappointment and more expense.
