DullI just colored my hair and I could cry. Its terrible. I requested dark coppery blond. I wound up with a med-light ash brown. I see no copper and just a little gold. More green than gold though. My hair looks dull and dry. I followed all the directions. I've even added leave in conditioner to try to get some shine. Rude emailWhen I complained about the color I received they told me theycouldn't lighten my hair as they didn't have the right product. Dried my Hair Out - Never Totally Covered the GrayYour product dried my hair out to the point it felt like straw. I used the product as directed and only colored my roots, so it's not like I colored my whole head every time. It also never truly covered my gray around my temples. The only thing you got right was the color. That's it. I only realized how your product was drying out my hair during the long pandemic when my natural hair felt soft and not dried out. I just stopped my subscription. It will take a year or more to cut off all of the dried crispy hair. I switched to Olia by Garnier and the hair I just colored was soft and not dry, and the gray is TOTALLY covered. That's something I never got with your product. A Little DisappointedI am fairly new to eSalon and have been pleased with your products. However, the recent purchase I received did not include 2 pairs of reusable gloves and it also did not come with the shampoo and conditioner the kit should include. This is the reason for my 2 start rating. I do love the coverage your product delivers however, it is vital to include everything in the kit your customers are paying for. Changes in formula?I'm fairly disappointed with my color this time around. I wanted golden blonde and instead still have very red, nearly orangeish hair. It's not an ugly color, just not what I wanted. Also, it seems like the developer was different. It was thicker and my hair definitely smelled like it had been colored, which before, it never did, one of the things I liked the most about esalon over the years, the lack of that chemical smell. I hope this review isn't public, because that isn't my intention. Items missing.I only recently opened this box as I’ve been in quarantine. When I did, there was only 1 pair of gloves instead of 2. There was no shampoo or conditioner. Didn't lastI was very disappointed with my last color. In the past, the color has covered my grays beautifully for 8-10 weeks. This time the color was too dark for the first week, great the 2nd week and then the grays started to show at my temples. I only wash my hair every 2 days and always use a color safe shampoo, so this was very unexpected. Now my hair is so very faded and gray again. It made me feel like I was given a nonpermanent color instead. Never againThe first shipment took 2 weeks to arrive. The 2 nd shipment got lost in shipping. DyeI didn't turn out like I thought it was going to the first one or the second one, but that could just simply because they're not able to see my hair in person in order to figure and I want and maybe I'm doing something wrong I don't know for sure. I'm not blaming anybody it just is what it is, it's okay. Hair is dry and brittleFirst, when I set up my profile I stated I have very thick hair. The two sample size shampoo is nowhere near enough to wash out the dye. In addition, my hair has been dry and brittle after 2 try’s with your product. Sorry it didn’t work. You need to put another step in with a glaze for conditioning colored hair or something. Catastrophe à domicileLe jour J, je respecte scrupuleusement les consignes, et suis plutôt contente sur le coup de la couleur obtenue. Mais très rapidement (5 jour) le cendré disparaît pour laisser place à une chevelure dorée...qui s’est transformée 2 semaines après en un roux de feu ! Je précise que j’utilise pourtant des produits d’entretien de la couleur spécifique justement pour éviter cela. Terrible angoisse, je fuis le roux depuis toujours et ne sais pas comment rattraper une telle bavure. Je vais donc devoir payer un coiffeur professionnel pour rattraper cela et ne réinitialiserai plus jamais les couleurs à domicile : première et dernière fois. Promises broken and color exceptionally lacklusterWhen signing up for the service, I took a substantial amount of time to take the color quiz, upload photos and carefully choose a color based upon years of experience coloring my own hair and my personal preferences. A few days later, a color "specialist" called me to say that the color I had chosen would probably not work for me based on the photos I uploaded and suggested another. After speaking for awhile about what I specifically DID NOT want (brassy, yellowish, one dimensional color), I took her suggestion on another color. The package took a full two weeks to arrive. Even as someone who has colored my own hair for 10+ years, I found the instructions to be very sparse and generic. Additionally, my kit only included one set of gloves (instead of the two sets required) that were too small to use. One glove broke as I tried to squeeze my hand inside. Not What I wantedI was really disappointed in the formulation. I loved the color in the previous order. A week later I was at the salon and my stylist pointed out that my roots were lighter than my overall hair color. I reached out to have the formulation corrected, not only was the color not what I wanted, but I was charged additionally for adjusting the color for my roots. I am not too pleased for being overcharged and having color that is not remotely what I wanted. It looks terrible! I am not pleased. some very dark areas - ??This time I had some areas that were very dark - wide streaks. The only thing I did different was, before shampooing I added water and the rest of the dye and massaged it in for several minutes. I did that for a much shorter time the first time I used it. Missing productI was late using this last order. I just opened it about an hour ago. States on the instruction book that there are two pair of gloves and there was only one. Step two says to take the classic shampoo and conditioner in the shower to wash your hair. NO classic shampoo and conditioner. First time this has ever happened. Tricky end processSo, I hated the end of the process where it said - get in the shower, tip your head back and put the rest of the dye on your head, And massage in. Very tricky to do and when I opened my eyes after the allotted time I had dye all down my body and it had irreparably dyed the grout in the shower. Will be going back to the salon unfortunately. Change in formulaI have had a wonderful experience with your custom hair color for two years. This time however, the kit said the formula had changed. Horrible experienceI place my order June 4th paid to have it rushed and after the 12 days I still had not received anything so I emailed, I was told it could take up to July 1st even though that is not what the website says so I waited and emailed again on the 30th of june as nothing had made any progress, they shipped another one and I just received it today and followed the directions to a tee currently my roots are orange, my mids and ends are dark brown now... far from dark blonde (cool beige). A little disappointedColred as usual and added water to remaining color in bottle and shook it up. Surprise....first water came out of bottle and 1/3 of color at bottom stayed stuck in there. Unscrewed lid and tried to poor on hair when a big gel like blob came out into hair. I tried to work it in the remaining hair. Didnt work so well. Hair not as good as before Color or texture. really disappointingI bought this for the second time first time was fine but this time followed the instructions by the letter and my roots are now fluorescent orange and my lengths have barely changed colour. Color reviewThis past formula was too dark. I’m still looking for a light auburn. This is red but darker than id like. Can we take a bit of brown out? The one before this was the closest to my color. Not what I expectedGood things first: It covered the grays. Didn't dry out my hair. Didn't stink too bad. I liked the stain guard, although there needs to be more of it (I tend to get color in my ears and down my neck). Loved the stain remover towelette. And the gloves actually fit. Now the bad stuff: The color was NOT what I wanted at all. I specifically asked for a strawberry or sandy blonde, and got light auburn. The print on the instructions is too small to read without my glasses. The included shampoo and conditioner dried out my hair way too much, although the texture had been fine after rinsing and before shampooing. I had to use my own conditioner extra. Last orderThe first time I used your product it was lovely. The last recent use I didn’t enjoy. The product was not comparable to the first coloring. The product wasn’t as smooth& thick & the strong smell of ammonia was very irritable & undesirable. Sorry I’ve been harsh but I can’t continue to order this item with these conditions. Not really happy with colorThe color made my hair feel dry and my hair had no luster or shine. It had a very flat matte appearance to it. The value of the color was not not pretty. It made my hair look like it was colored and that was not an attractive look. It made my hair feel like it was over processed and my hair tangled easily so brushing that out caused breakage. I was really disappointed. The shampoo and conditioner did not seem to make my hair soft or feel like it usually does after application of a conditioner product. Product never arrivedMy first order arrived after over 3 weeks, which although irritating was manageable. My second order was the same. My most recent order has been over a month and still hasn't arrived. I've been given a refund with no hassle, but I am disappointed that i cant use the product as I found the quality to be excellent.
