Not what I requested.My initial order was much darker than expected. I was only looking to cover “grey” (my grey is white), and keep my over-all color the same. I requested a lighter color for my next order. I got the same dark results. Will be canceling subscription. Not impressedI have been using esalon for quite awhile now. Until the June/July order - all was good. The new creamier mix is nice that it is not so sloppy, but it does not last. I colored my hair on July 15th and it has already washed out. The color has faded and the gray is back. I noticed right after coloring my hair that I did not need to use the wipe to remove color from my skin that had been touched, it had all washed off. Very unusual. Hopefully you get this issue fixed. This did not turn out as I had hopedI have colored my hair many times at home, using L'Oreal products with success. I had high hopes for eSalon. The directions were not hard to follow. I asked for ash blonde, and I got golden blonde with sort of weird red undertones. There was very little ash in the formula that they sent. So disappointedI am just so disappointed! My friend and I followed the directions exactly. The color was all wrong! It came out spotty and faded. BRIGHT clown red in some areas- a pinkish brown in others and then no change in others. The color variations are ridiculous. I am wondering how to fix this? Get a clarifying shampoo? I have another package coming and wonder how I’m going to deal with this. I was so excited to give my hair a boost- picked out the color after a few friends helped, I took this process serious and watched the tutorials, asked my stylist friends for advice, bought the alligator clips to make sure I did it just right. I thought the mixes looked a bit off and didn’t get the combos- but since you’re “professionals” I trusted you. Never will I do this again! Won’t recommend. Did not workThis is my second time using this product. It did not color my hair at all. The first time I thought maybe it was user error or perhaps I just ordered the same color as my actual hair. For my second order I requested a darker, more ashy tone. I followed the directions completely. The color is not at all different. Nice ConceptLet me begin by saying that it was definitely the nicest at home color that I've used. My hair feels healthy and the color didn't have any adverse reactions on my scalp. With that said; the color didn't turn out as expected. I received a root color and an ends color and I followed the instructions (which are very helpful!) but the root color was darker than expected and didn't cover the few grey hairs that I have and the rest of the hair color didn't really do much of anything for the rest of my hair. Not custom. Better off doing research and going to supplier.I decided to try this service because I thought it would be better to have an “ expert” formulate a product that would be able to do what I needed rather than doing the work myself and taking a chance. I wanted a glaze that would freshen up my highlights and maybe blend some grays until I could get back to a salon. I received a “ light blonde “ Demi permenant color with “ 15 vol” developer. It was ok. The color was shiny. It darkened my highlights to a goldy yellow. I noted my natural roots looked slightly orange. When it came time for my next order I reported that my color was to gold and my roots had an orange tone. I asked for something to touch up my roots and maybe a glaze for the mids and ends. I received a reformulated product this time with “a tiny bit of ash to counter brass” I applied and my roots were now bright orange and my hair was a dark yellow. I shared my concerns with the service and at first was told I must have asked for the wrong product. When I explained to them that they were supposed to be the expert they changed their tune and offered to send me more product if I wanted to purchase it!!! I politely declined. They also told me they were not able to provide root touch up and glaze like a salon could. I had no interest in Spending more money on a service that did not work the first 2 x. I have since done the research and it seems the 15 vol developer was way to strong for what I needed the product to do which was deposit only and it lifted my roots a few levels. Also I’m not sure if the color had amonia which can also lift your color. So all I really needed to do was go to a beauty supply store and spend 6$. DamagedI received product and the special formula had ruptured all in the package on everything. I have less than half a bottle Temperatures had been in the ninties, I would definitely reconsider your package. Package was stamped by mail service and the contents and box were wet. Not my color!The first time I did my color with esalon, it came out perfect and now this time it is brown not Auburn. I am going to have to go buy a box of nice and easy to correct my color and not real sure how I’m going to be able to get my other color back! Not my color and patchyI was very excited to try my color but am unfortunately quite disappointed in the results. The color is patchy and I was hoping for a bright copper but this isn’t it. Additionally, there are pink streaks throughout my hair. I am updating my review as eSalon was kind enough to send me another color. Despite their great customer service I am really disappointed in the results. My hair turned out pink...again and is completely damaged. Natural redhead- no change in colorI was really excited to try this product out. Unfortunately it did not work. :( I am a natural redhead with no previous color added to my hair. I purchased a medium blonde color. I did a strand test to see how it would turn out. I applied the mixed color according to the directions provided and waited 30 minutes. When I checked my strand after the allotted time there was no change to my color. I waited an additional 15 minutes and used my hairdryer on the low setting to apply heat. After 45 minutes I rinsed the dye from my test strand. After drying my hair there was no notice difference in my hair color. Medium/Dark blondeThis was my first time purchasing through this platform. I typically have golden blonde mixed in with medium blonde. For some reason the team decided to send me a color that gave an allover dark blonde color. I am not thrilled at all. And it did not totally cover the grey. Color Did not color my graysColor Did not color my grays and customer service did not contact me back. This is the worst experience ever! Madison Reed sent my mother an email a week after she colored. She had a minor issue with her color being too dark and they immediately sent her a replacement and told her how to clarify her scalp to prep it for the updated color. Esalon did not do a thing for me even after I wrote to the colorist and I called them. So me thing has changedI have used this product in the past and it worked well... nice color, covered greys, easy enough to use. This is not the same as it use to be. Far from the colour I requestedI was not happy with the colour. It was way too dark, it’s not a light ashy brown but dark and very much on the warm side than being ashy. The customer service is amazing however the products are not. None of the hair dyes performed well, didn’t do any better than the drug store ones, so not worth the money. Didn't work at allMaybe my colour was too dark? I don't know... But I followed all the instructions and nothing changed. It looked brown when I put it on, but the colour rinsed right out when I did the 3-5 min rinse thing. The package was delayed for a month, so maybe the contents lost their effectiveness. I'm mostly disappointed because I had great customer support through out the whole process and really wanted this to work. I guess this would work better if going from light to dark hair. Goal was blonde, result was DARK brown.I really wanted to love this order because the color experiences constantly get such good reviews. I have naturally dirty blonde hair, at about a level 8 when freshly washed and dried. I was hoping to take my natural roots down to my highlighted ends and just have one uniform, and even blonde color. I wanted to add a little bit of warmth, and didn't mind if the result was just slightly darker than my natural color if it still was very blonde-looking. I followed the steps exactly as outlined in the pamphlet and as directed by my assigned colorist, doing the Colorfill first for a short time, then the overall color for just slightly longer. I knew once I rinsed the Colorfill out that it was already way, way too dark. The whole process took about an hour including prep, applications, and washing my hair afterward. The color experience alone would be rated one star. It is nowhere near the level 8.35 blonde that I had requested. I gave it two because the communication and courtesy was great during the ordering process, and hopefully will continue to be great moving forward, especially around what to do now with dark brown hair. HelpDyed my hair last night and after 3o-35 minutes when I washed it, the roots and part of the side were light red and the rest of my hair was brown with reddish as I wanted . My blonde to brown was awfulMy hair had a full head of very blonde highlights making me look very blonde. When I ordered my things for eSalon, they said because my hair was so light, in order to go darker I would have to use a filler before I applied the medium brown color. When I did my step one over my extremely light hair, I waited to five minutes and it was almost black! Crying, I did what the box said and used the step two color application. It was a gold tinted color. Then I realized, THEY MIXED UP MY LABELS ON MY STEP ONE AND STEP TWO. So I look like I put my shiny blonde hair in black tar that was muddy and had no shine. Not happy about the gray coverage and it faded in a weekI followed the instruction exactly but it didn't cover my grays well. Grays are still noticeable and it gave a tint but it was all about it. Then it faded in a week... I probably should have gotten darker color but I thought that's what their colorist for. I attached my picture and answered all the question, it's obvious I have an Asian hair-typically more stubborn to get dyed.. No gray coverage, not 100% satisfied with color resultI wanted to love this and followed the instructions carefully. Unfortunately, I got NO gray coverage with my formula and what was supposed to be a cool neutral blonde, was very warm and a bit brassy.
