Did not work for meIt did not work for me at all. I saved this for a special occasion. I applied it thoroughly to every gray strand and followed every instruction. Color coverageThis was my first time coloring me hair without using a “box dye.” I was really excited about the process. I followed every direction. The color did not do anything to my roots. It’s still my faded brown with a hard transition into the copper red tone. Since I have a lot of hair I even left the color on for an additional 8 minutes for each step. Gray coverage is badI have 2 spots, one on each side along face above ears that NEVER colored. Even did those areas first and left on 45 min. I have had color reformatted and still to no avail. Blue black instead of vibrant brown.What a disappointment!! Two children and their innocent comments made it clear as day when they saw me two weekends in a row, the second with the "adjusted colour" and said: "What happened to your hair? It's black blue!" I've attached photos for the colourists at eSalon of my vibrant brown hair on Halloween compared to 9 days and two washes later. I mentioned the previous colour was spot on but faded to yellow tones. Pros and ConsPros: Packaging of products were organized to follow step-by-step instructions. It was worth adding Color Tools because they made it easier to apply color. Color matched what was shown online. My favorite aspect of choosing coloring was Color Match tool because it gave several selections to choose from. It could be improved by updating system so users could utilize uploaded pictures in sampling all colors. Clients should be able to select colors they want. eSalon could provide instructions in best way to lighten or darken hair, if needed. Way too darkI had tried the permanent color, which was ok, the ammonia smell was very strong to me, so I then ordered the ammonia free color, demi perm, and requested a little lighter and brighter color, but it turned out much darker than I wanted, and was darker than the first color! I left it in for about 10 minutes, so maybe it was too long, but pretty unhappy with it, very dark and not brighter at all. I'll stick with Madison Reed, maybe will try one more time for the demi permanent but not sure if I'm willing to try a third time. Color not lasting as long as it used toI have recently noticed my color has not been lasting longer than a couple of weeks. I am stuck trying to temporarily cover my gray hairs between orders. Coverage used to last me about 6 weeks and now it seems my color is fading after a couple of weeks, if that. Has the product changed Esalon? Not what I want/needHi I have used the October colour , thanks. It looks OK but hasn't really covered the roots/my few greys. I applied as per instructions... but it seems to have darkened my mids/ends..I am now wondering if I should use a permanent colour on my roots to match my natural colour to cover greys...then I would like a lighter colour through mid and ends to keep the lighter natural feel to the ends. The actual colour / tone seems right for me... but roots not really taken and made mids/ends darker. Is there a lighter shade that I can apply to miss- ends to make these lighter / brighter again? Worst gray coverage ever !I have been coloring my own hair for 20 years and this is by far the worst haircolor I have ever used. I have friends who swear by E salon but for me it just didn’t work out. The hair color they sent me was orange , I look like orangutan. I was actually embarrassed because the hair color was so flat and dull and artificial looking. E salon did try to correct the color but the second color they sent was even worse than the first. Product is not what it used to beThis last color set actually lightened my hair and was nowhere near my natural color. I now have two tone hair which is horrible. I’ve had to buy hair color from the grocery store to cover the highlighted parts. The last three color sets have not given the quality color as in past years so I don’t know what’s happened to the quality of this product. The worst part, and the reason for canceling my membership, was when I called to ask if there was a mistake in sending me the wrong hair color and report what the product did to my hair, the colorist blamed my hair for the color turning out wrong. Still can't cover grays effectively but love the colorMy custom color was adjusted to cover grays better, so the processing time went from 20 to 40 minutes. I had also adjusted the color to include more dark brown and reds. Love the new adjusted color, but even after 40+ minutes of processing time, of which I applied the color to my hairline and stubborn sideburn areas first, the color started to fade after day 2. Didn’t work for meI have dark brown/black hair, and the new color did not show. My hair looks the same, there is no shine, or better feeling texture. The ladies in the photos look like they had a glamorous hair color result, but mine still looked dull. This was my 3rd time trying eSalon hair color, but this time handfuls of hair were falling out during the washing out step. Someone from eSalon said I may have had an allergic reaction, but I have never been allergic to hair coloring products before. Bad colorI finally used my color a few days ago and it damaged my hair. Not satisfiedThe gray hair is not fully covered even if i indicated that i needed 100% coverage. Even after using conditioner the hair looks a bit dry. Im not happy with the auto-charge and auto ship. I still have 2 sets in stock here and another 1 in transit that i can’t even cancel anymore. As i wasnt happy with the first one, I’m not keen to use these 2 sets that i currently have. Please dont ship the next one. Shipping was fastShipping was fast, the packaging was nice, and I liked the way the dye goes on hair. The color however was a big nope. It didn't cover my whites, it doesn't look much different than my normal color. When my husband saw my hair after coloring his first reaction was 'oh, you dyed it? It looks so fad' Very disappointed. Worked fineI liked the packaging and product design, but overal the dye was only a little better than cheaper store bought dye. It was also a lot darker than I wanted so I changed it after a few days even though the color was pretty. I would try it again if it really would save me money compared to a salon, but for a new kit + shipping + import costs (that I was not expecting since it wasn't mentioned anywhere) it is not worth it for me. It was terribleThey didn't listen to what I wanted. I have salt and pepper hair. I wanted a color lighter than my dark. Not a bleach, just a lighter color to just cover my gray. Then it looks frosted instead of salt and pepper. What I was sent made my hair black! I already look harsh enough. But the black hair made me more harsh! My family hated it. Color doesn’t lastColor came out great until about a week later it faded significantly. My colorist adjusted the color to try again but I’m not so sure. If it didn’t last the first time I don’t think a color adjustment will matter. I feel like it was drying on my already dry hair too. Too Light is allMy hair color wasnt what I was expecting. It was too light. I'm sure that was due to my explanation of the color I wanted. Because I wasn't satisfied with the color the wonderful people of eSalon and my most patient colorist Mindy are taking the time to make sure I am satisfied with my color by preparing me a new one. I am so thankful. I have tried one of eSalon's competitors and you just don't get the quality of care or product that you get with eSalon. They didn't even send the second color for your ends like eSalon does. So without the extra color I barely had enough to finish my entire head with the color they did send. Add the personalized packaging , all the extras and the price you get when you order with eSalon it's a "Color" Above the rest. Color was completely wrongI have tried this color twice. Both orders were for a medium brown. The first try had a lot of red in my hair and was very dark. The color was supposed to be adjusted based on these undesired results. company not accurately depictedThe customer staff is incredibly condescending and rude. The hair color is cheap and you are better off using John Freida box dye for a fraction of the cost. I could not recommend this service to anyone. ProblemI used the kit Saturday, October 8th. On Thursday, October 14th I had to go to the salon and have her re-color my hair because it took 2 days and my gray were already showing again as you can see by my photos. So dissapointed! Attention au temps de pose.La couleur a bien recouvert les cheveux blanc grâce au pinceau qui est intéressant à utiliser. En revanche elle est trop foncée, j'aurais aimé un reflet rouge plus prononcé. Attention au temps de pose car j'ai perdu beaucoup de cheveux au moment du rinçage! Et j'ai dû les nourrir à l'huile d'argan après pendant plusieurs jours, tellement ils étaient paille ! Je mets 3 étoiles. The blue black isn't even blackI requested blue black as my color choice. The last couple of orders I received resulted in dark brown hair at the darkest. And that was not as a result of the color washing out. It was dark brown from Day 1 of dying. It is not black. I sent a request today to change it to THE DARKEST blue black they make. Color is good but my whites are still thereI followed all the instructions, however my whites are still very much there. Some had darkened a little bit (brownish) but I could clearly see whites/grey hair. The shampoo and conditioner were very good though as it left my hair feeling silky smooth. Not as I ExpectedI usually love my hair color; however, this time not so much. I requested a deeper reddish/brown but it came out much more brown with very little red. The color was not as vibrant as I usually get from my order. Also, I requested more gray coverage but got even less. The color faded much faster as well. I have always been happy but was disappointed with the outcome this shipment. I have requested a color adjustment, more gray coverage, and a longer-lasting result. GraysI've been gettin my personalized color kit for 7 years. I love the color, it looks so natural. But I have had problems with the grays showing is just 3 to 4 weeks. Response to first use of product. I don't really want this published.I received the order Oct 5th. I used it the same day. The color did not cover my gray and my hair was dry and almost frizzy afterwards. I am not happy with the product and don't want any further deliveries. First time colour, a little too 'Gold'....My first custom colour turned out too warm.... very gold, even a little brassy. I wanted it to be very cool ash. Überhaupt nicht so wie gewünschtBin Tod traurig, bin Naturrot und hab mir ne dunklers Kupferrot gewünscht jetzt bin ich braun Haarig mit leichten Rotstich. Mein Trost ist das ich die Tönung gekauft habe. Leider muss ich jetzt die Tönung mühevoll herausziehen lassen. Ich hatte ein Foto hochgeladen und geschrieben was ich mir wünsche das hat wohl niemand gelesen also nix mit toller Beratung und individuell abgemischt. bad batch of color maybe not satisfiedJust wanted to let you know I'm not happy or satisfied with my last color package. I have explained over the phone and by email. Terrible colourMy main request was to neutralise the red in my hair as my roots were dark with grey and the rest of ny hair was brown/red/ginger (wishy washy). What happened!?I've been using eSalon for over 2 years... loved it still do to a point. My last shipment was a weird one to say the least..I mixed my dye as always... this time it got hot?! Quickly??!! I went to grab my towel (typically what I do) came back (under 2 minutes) it exploded! All over my vanity in bathroom!! I scooped up what I could and placed on my hair needless to say no coloring took place... however it definitely colored my vanity! ! It's ruined... along with my lovely (sarcasm here!)
