Good color but be carefulI loved my color but soon after using this my hair began to fall out. I thought it was other things and tried to remedy it. But it has continued and nothing seems to help. Matte Ash Brown = REDthe color was standard do at home hair color. I was pleasantly surprised that I didnt need both entire bottles as I usually use two packages of color because I have a LOT of hair. however, the color was not at all as expected. I dont know if the browns have lightener in them or what, but I was trying to go slightly darker and ashier than my normal hair color and instead went slightly lighter and with very red undertones. There's nothing "ash" about this color! Very disappointing. It's a two person job / go to a professionalI ordered a color slightly redder than what I was originally and I ended up with red roots and dark brown lengths it was a mess and it being a holiday weekend I had to go buy another color to cover it. I guess if you have someone to help you "paint" your roots it may work better. But I have shoulder length hair and a lot of it so doing just my roots and seeing that the back was properly covered was impossible. And I did follow the directions exactly and I did contact them about the horrible turnout they responded within a day, but it being a weekend I had places to be and couldn't wait for their reponse and then them telling me they'd needed pictures I am assuming so they could send me a fix for the issue, like I said I wasn't going to walk around looking like a skunk so a trip to Rite Aid was all I could do to fix it. I am extremely disappointed as I've seen so many youtubers rave about this product but then again they are sponsored, and if they'd had a similar issue to mine they could have had it fixed even professionally and gone on with their video saying how amazing it is. I guess there is a reason none of them stick with it and all the ones I've watched go back to the professionals after one use. Color started out great, then faded. Customer support faded, tooI was really nervous at first, being that I was new at coloring my hair and I was going from blonde to mahogany. The resulting color was stunning! The instructions were spot on (follow them to the tee and you won't be disappointed!) and easy to follow. Unfortunately, by the end of 2 weeks, the ends of my hair (a chin length bob) had begun to fade. By the end of 6 weeks (the time I'd chosen between colorings) my stunning mahogany on my ends and the middle had gone to a lifeless medium brown. OK, so I expected the recoloring to fix this. After following the instructions given in my first recoloring, my faded ends remained, and were even more visible now in that my roots had been revived to the beautiful mahogany. I contacted customer service, who asked me to send pictures, which I did. I immediately received an email confirming receipt of my pictures, saying someone would be "reformulating my color". Huh? A big dissapointmentNot what i expected. Loved my previous hair colors but wow two toned hair?? Did directions as was to the very last word. Lighter warm brown got my roots a darker brown with red highlights length of hair was more a warm but medium warm brown no ted highlignts. Idk ..but hae to recolor. Otherwise the colors b4 were been and fantastic just skin tone didnt fit red. O well maybe a bad batch. Not the color I wantedThe color I wanted was strawberry blonde what I got was more auburn. I asked to match my current hair color and color greys, but this color was too dark. The roots look are a bit lighter than the ends and I followed the directions to the T. I really would have liked my first time to have been more positive. I also got worried as I shampooed it as it was so dry and sticky, but once I put in the conditioner it got soft and nice. As it was developing I was a bit worried as it was a bit dark, but I had hoped it would lighted up once it dried, but it hasn't. Instead of light brown maybe it should have been dark blonde? Like color, but feeling sticky!So I've applied color (with a brush), followed the instructions to the letter, washed and conditioned- and I'm a STICKY MESS. I can't even run a comb through my tangled mess of hair. Now, from what I can see in the spots that are not matted down, the color seems to be exactly what I asked for. Unfortunately though, I don't think I'll be ordering from eSalon again, as I will be spending my Saturday night trying to figure out how to return my hair to a normal texture. *update: after googling solutions (there were many posted, as this apparently happens more often than I thought) olive oil ended up being my saving grace!! Great gray coverage but...The color covered gray hair very well but 1 bottle of color, shampoo and conditioner not enough for hair length. Hair shiny and soft but there was no evidence of the purple color I selected. Grey hair coverage not goodI ordered permanent colour to have sufficient coverage for my grey hair. The colour was fine initially; my hair was also soft and silky. After 3 weeks however, all my grey hairs (entire shaft) are noticeable. I have always had my hair coloured in a salon using permanent tint and my grey hairs did not show after. Super Oily!!!I followed all the directions, put the first bottle on the roots and then the second on the ends. My daughter used what was left from the first bottle to do a pikaboo in the underneath of he hair. Both of our hair was super grease. you could squeeze the oil out on your hand when my hair was dry! I used your shampoo plus mine because yours was not enough. I had to wash my hair 5 times to get the oil out of my hair. On the upside it did color my hair and the gray roots. Remove me from this site.Initially I loved your product, however, for the last 3 deliveries, I have had problems with the hair color. 1) it stained my skin, and it took about a week for it to fade (this was in addition to the stain remover in the kit) 2) the color didn't last and within 2 weeks my roots were very prominent 3) on the last delivery the color was more of a dark brown than auburn. Good end color, poor processIn the end, I do like the color of my hair. However, it took me a full 30 minutes to rinse the dye from my hair. Disappointed!Ordering and shipping were smooth and that's where the good experience ended. Mixed color according to directions, applied and left for indicated time. When it was time to rinse my hair felt sticky and oily. I thought after a wash the texture of my hair would go back to normal. Wrong! I had caked on greasy product on my hair and scalp. I have washed and conditioned my hair 5 times today to try to get rid of the film and still feel it on some parts of my hair. Also color did not take evenly. Color was fabulousI loved the product at first. The color came out amazing and did not fade. The issues I found later was it was drying out my hair and became brittle, breaking easily. I have always had very thick hair and all of a sudden my hair seemed thin and flat. DisappointingI used this company twice and for some reason I never got the colour that I wanted (violet). The first time I ended up with a reddish tinge to my hair and the second time, after speaking with the colorist and getting the formula 'adjusted' I ended up with a very dark brown. I saw other reviews with the same complaint and I wonder if this dye does not work as well with some types of hair or with previously coloured hair... I did like the shampoo and conditioner however, especially the conditioner as it made the hair very silky. Its Not For MeI used E Salon for the first time and was not impressed with my color that I received from them. I wanted it to be more blond. The color said light blond so I expected it to be the color that I already have in my hair. It didn't turn out that way. It almost has a red tint to it. I also struggled to color my hair by myself. For me its best to have a professional doing my hair, I guess I have to spend the money to have it done right. Will never purchase this againSo I went through the process, got my color in, followed the instructions to the letter. There are entire sections of the ends of my hair that didn't take the color. Typically this can be blended in depending on how I do my hair but this is like blocks, literal squares. I've been coloring my hair for nearly 15 years, both professionally and at home, and I've never been more disappointed in a hair product, especially considering how much they charge for it. Too DarkI liked the way the hair made my hair feel, but it was too dark. The hair dye that was assigned to me made my hair several shades darker than my hair color. The first time I requested to have the shade changed to a lighter color, I was advised that it was not possible for me to get a lighter color. Instead I was given instruction of how to dye my hair. The second time I requested for a color adjustment to a lighter shade, I received no response to my request from eSalon. This one is a "miss"!The latest color (I had asked for something slightly darker) has no dimension to it at all. In addition, I had to rewash my hair three times to get all of the product out. UndecidedFirst of all, the small bottle went a long way, I was surprised how much it covered, but, it was extremely difficult to wash out. It was like grease. Once it was completely washed out, my hair did feel really good. It doesn't seem to be damaging. First time and lastI had ordered color and granted the color was what I had ordered, the bad part it kept washing out with even using color shampoo and conditioner, so after about a week and a half my hair looked ridiculous and I had to purchase color oops to take the rest of color out.
