Color Leaves Hair Feeling GreasyDO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR PRODUCT UNLESS YOU WANT GREASY WAXY HAIR FOR DAYS . After using the product and washing out the color with their shampoo my hair was left feeling greasy and waxy. I've just learned that this is a fairly common problem. I've washed my hair for an hour after dying it and hours later it still looks wet because it's so greasy. I don't even know how the color looks because my hair is so waxy. I cant even touch my hair without my hands becoming greasy. You would think that since this is a common complaint they would change the formula or at least provide a shampoo that will actually take the hair dye completely out of your hair. I've never experienced this kind of issue with hair dye and I've been dying my hair for over 15 years, that's the majority of my life. Felt IckyMy stylist had to wash my hair 4 times to get the sticky feeling out of my hair. Color was off stillStill much too dark and not even close to the bright copper red I have always been... Way Darker than ExpectedI'm pretty bummed. I was excited to try this product and used it two nights ago. I asked for my hair to go to beige blonde - they sent me a dark blonde and now my hair is straight up brown. It is way darker and now I've gone backwards and it will be hard to get the lightness to my curls without bleaching my hair. Wrong ColorI've been an eSalon customer for over a year and a half. I've continued as a customer because I like how well it covers my gray, is easy to use and the color lasts. However, my most recent order was definitely wrong. The color is much much darker than the shade I usually get, At first I thought, well my pre-color hair is lighter right now because I've spent time in the sun. Waited a day to "get used" to the darker hair. Not liking it at all. I've gotten several comments - not compliments - from friends. This most definitely was a mistake made by my colorist. Very disappointed. it was okI have been receiving this product for 6 mos. I love the ease of doing it at home. What I don't like is that about a week later my roots and my ends are two different colors. I have done the root color and the end color a few times and I am still not satisfied with the results. The grays around my hairline also pop up after a week or two even with concentration on my hairline with the color. Waxy residue left on hair.I have used this product for a few treatments the first few were fine, however the last few applications have left my hair with a waxy residue that took two to three attempts to wash out, also waxy residue made hair feel heavy and seemed to put pressure on my head. It is a shame because I like the colour but the actual experience of using this product isn't an experience that I would recommend. Drying to hair and messy to useThe color is very nice but not a good product for fine hair. Dries out and after hair is very hard to de-tangle. Unhappy with the past adjustmentUnfortunately, I believe the colorist did not fully comprehend the adjustments I wanted to make with the latest order.The adjustment request was for a "Lighter" color with more blonde undertones-Instead I now have BLACK hair with burgundy undertones. Copper instead of AshFollowed instructions to a T and the color is incredibly warm. Originally asked for a light beige blonde and was sent a medium ash blonde after correspondence from the colorist. Wrong colorI ordered this and was so excited about the possibilities of having a beautiful hair color like the salon should do without having to go into a salon but it didn't work that way. Absolutely awful!Strong Ammonia gunk- a terrible experience took at least 4 showers to get this sludge out of my hair and it still was in there. Leaves hair feeling greasy and waxyI have used this product for over a year and was happy until the last 3 shipments or so. Something seemed to have changed and not for the better. I color my hair every 4-6 weeks and no other product leaves this residue in my hair. It literally takes me 3-4 washes to get the waxy feeling out. To bad because I loved this for convenience, but to be honest the box dye from the store doesn't leave me with a waxy feeling that takes at least three washes to remove. To top it off the response from customer service was somewhat of a joke. They told me basically I need to rinse it better and possibly use a different color shampoo. Great texture, color is not quite rightI love how my hair feels but the color is still brassy. And I was disappointed in the communication. I get responses from so many different people and I feel like I have to keep re-requesting change. For instance when I went to re order the changes that were promised in my last email are not on my order form. Unsatisfactory ResultsI was not satisfied with the product. There were no better results than what I received from retail stores or beauty supply stores. One major difference from my usual product is that this product left my hair hard and dull, not soft and shining. It was also messy because it continually dripped while being applied and during timings. We can't seem to get the color rightI have been a member for 6 months and have tried to change tbe formula Because whatever they do it goes orange. The color I'm using now isn't lasting as long as it did at first. I had to color my hair between the deliveries this time. I missed my cut off date By a day. So, I guess I will have to deal with it another month and color it 2 times and deal with red. I wanted it lighter, but couldn't get it right. So, went darker, Both colors have not been shiny. I went through the chart and saw that 5.0 which is darker than I have ever used in my life is the only kne that is shiny and doesn't look like it ei pull so much red. It might cover the gray. gray still gray, Hair's now dry and course.I fallowed the directions exactly, my grey is very shiny but looks very noticeable. maybe a little lighter than before I colored it. My hair is much more course and feels a lot dryer. I washed it and used all of the conditioner. I could barely comb thru it. I have been using nice and easy. prior to using your product. Not what it used to beI give this product two stars because it used to work wonderfully for me when I started using it almost 3 years ago. It is a great color, but I have noticed that the color does not last like it used to. Within a week, my roots are already showing. And that is with using sulphate-free, color safe shampoo. It used to be there weeks before my roots started coming back, but it has consistently lasted me a week and I've had to use other root touch ups in the mean time. Not For Touchups! :(The color turned out great, but I only used less than 1/4 of the product! :( I specified only for touchups around my face. There needs to be smaller vials of mixture maybe 4 vials per package. I had asked the question if I could save the unused product but quickly found out I could not! It started to bubble out and spill out all over. Very Disappointed. There needs to be a fix for this. I would like to have my money back since I did not get to use all of the product. Good results but not worth the effort...This is the third time I've used e-salon. The first two times I thought I must have done something wrong during application but now I've just realised the formula clearly doesn't agree with my hair. The application is easy, the colour is always nice but getting this out of my hair in the shower is truly awful. It clings to my hair so badly, it clumps into pieces under my finger nails and it takes 3-4 shampoos to get it off. Then once washed and dried it feels waxy in places afterwards. Too dark and horrible to wash outThe application process was easy enough, I enjoyed that it didn't have a strong smell and that it was pretty straight forward. That's kind of where the happiness ended. I applied the stain guard before colouring but I ended up with terrible stains around my hair line. The provided stain remover didn't do much to help. I appreciated that it was included but I'm not sure it actually helped. I usually use Vaseline as a guard and have no issues. The dye itself was miserable to get out. It was so thick, I was honestly scrapping it out of my hair and scalp on the few areas it got a little too rubbed in. Three shampoos later (including the provided shampoo which did smell lovely) and I finally feel like it's not caked in anymore. My hair feels disgusting the day after, not dry but very stringy and greasy. Almost matted. I did purchase and use the mask which probably helped. Add to all that, the color was supposed to be a dark brown, its black. It's one dimensional black. It looks terrible. I could've gone to a beauty supply store, spent $10 and had exactly what I wanted. Now... I have to pay to have my hair professionally lightened. Nice company,product not so muchI received the color and it was in a lovely box,with an additional free set so I can do my whole hair the first time around. The instructions were great, they provided two sets of gloves. The whole thing felt as pampered as an at home coloring could possibly get. I followed the instructions exactly. The issue was the actual product. The color left my hair feeling so dry, so bad, it was like chunks of straw. Even after using their conditioner I couldn't even get my fingers through it. I shampooed again, used tons of my own conditioner, and still. I ended up using a hair-mask which I left on for a few hours, and then it was somewhat manageable, but still didn't feel good. It took a few weeks for my hair to feel ok. I canceled the service, and it was easy to do,which is not always the case with companies that have you sign up for recurring orders. I like the website, the service seems to be good, and the box and instructions are actually great. I just wish the product was good for me,but it's the worse hair color I've ever used, and I've been coloring my own hair for years. I only go to a salon every 4-5th time I need to color. FrustratedI've used esalon before and loved it, but this time I got really dark coloring for my roots and lighter for the rest of my hair and I don't like how it turned out. BrassyLoved how my hair felt after coloring... the kit was great (love the strain prevent and remover and the shampoo/ conditioner). But hair came out brassy. It covered most of the gray but not all. PerformanceThe reason for coloring my hair is to cover the gray that is now appearing. I don't have tons of gray hair, but enough for me and those who know me well to notice. The color doesn't seem to "adhere" to those strands that are gray. This time when I colored I also left the color on for an additional 5 minutes of hoping to help this. Second, even when using products designed for colored hair, your color seems to start fading dramatically by the 4th or 5th wash. I'm not sure I will continue the product. Too darkEvery color I received was too dark. I know we are trying to cover my gray but did not have to go that dark. Informed them that it was too dark but still was made the same every time. Just not my colorOK you changed my color from light brown because it was leaving my hair a red color. Now it is darker brown and the red is darker. So, my hair is going from light brown to darker red and brown. What up?? Only will try to get this right one more time and that is it. This is ridiculous . Colour was weak and didn't last.I coloured my hair using a demi-permanent colour. The result was quite weak but I thought I'd give it a chance. Two washes later and you wouldn't know that my hair had been coloured - so disappointed. Wrong ColorI asked for Brown with hints of golden - My hair is completely RED, could be just the way my hair took it but I do not see any golden or brown. I am not happy with how it turned out.. Waxy feelingThe color is usually pretty good. I keep asking for it to be more red and it turns out a bit more brown which I don't like.
