I had such high hopes!I tried this out and found it more difficult to use than a standard box of Clairol or L'Oréal from the store. The color my hair turned is probably the most disappointing part! They sent two separate colors and I don't understand why. I followed the directions exactly and now my hair is two different colors . I was hesitant seeing two formulas. Who would want uneven color? I like the idea of all of this, but the color needs to be easier than a box kit from the store! And the color needs to perform better for an average at home user. Hair color is nothing like last monthsMy roots are black and my ends are fire orange. The whole point of me wanting to go a copper color was so my hair would allover be lighter than previous colorings, so my regroth wouldnt be so obvious. Product review.Was much darker than i expected, Could not notice any gold in the color, just black. Gray coverage was good. I have been adding developer to shampoo every day & washing it to get it a tad lighter. I hope this is not an automatic thing and i am billed even if i do not re-order it. Very disappointed..The packaging was super cute, but that's where it ends. Washing the color kit made my hair sticky with a thick film and NOT washing out. It was a nightmare. It literally took me an hour to wash it out and I had to use dawn dish soap to get it all out. Light brown hair this turned it BLACK!!!So for a bit ,this was a great product ,the past 2 have turned my hair almost jet black yet said light brown . Now can't figure out how to get it back to the right color without a professional job . If you can't get it right empty it and start again. Not for meI had to dye my roots and my ends with two bottles I am used to using one bottle for everything. The color was too red. I did not get an even color in my hair, I have several light and darker colors. Everytime I wash my hair red dye is still coming out. I am used to dying my hair the color is off, way too red. Beware - if you leave something in your cart you will be charged!My first order I found it to be okay. For myself, it didn't seem much better than the drug store version. My second order the order process was difficult because my internet was so slow. But, I decided to try it again, since it had been 9 months since I did try it. I went thru the process and afterward, I decided against it. I didn't hit submit but just closed the site. A few days later I get an email telling me my credit card didn't work. ( We had gotten a new one because some one hacked into our account.) So I just ignored the email. Then the box came. I called right away and spoke with a woman who was not very compassionate. She accused me of hitting submit and because I was in regular order, they somehow were able to get my new credit card number. First time userWhile I loved the color, the waxy coating was weird. After coloring my hair, a waxy coating was left on my hair. I washed it multiple times and finally got it out. Waxy residueThe wax residue problems continue! I can't shampoo it enough to get rid of the sticky wax it leaves! I have noticed this problem each month for the last 8 or so months. I have followed the instructions after notifying esalon about this problem and is still remains. I received something that turned my hair closer to jet black, which is not quite a match for my skin. First UseI received my first order and was very excited to get started. I loved the fact that I did not have to spend a lot of time waiting in a salon and the expense of salons. Although I am still excited about this product, my first experience did not turn out so well. I wanted to go back to my natural color of blonde and it turned out to be strawberry blonde, which is a pretty color, but not at all the color for me. The product did make my hair shiny and soft. Great Grey Coverage, but needs to leave hair shinier...I followed the directions and the results were too dark overall. The product did cover my stubborn grey, even along the hairline, which is the most stubborn. NOT Impressed!had high expectations since its supposed to be Custom color? the color is plain as a box color at the supermarket. Also it made my hair Fall Out, IM SOO UPSET! using it was a big mess that felt like glue in my hair! They don't even give you any keratin or some special conditioners! I want a full refund!!! Not good at coloring greys at all!!!I will not be purchasing this hair color ever again. It did not cover my greys like it promised and the color was completely wrong. I asked for coppery red but it came out a weird brown with a hint of a reddish tone. It looked really bad. I will not be wasting my money on this again. Great color but...My friend followed the directions to the letter but the roots ended up a lot darker than the previously colored ends. Aside from the visible line between the dyed and undyed part, the color was amazing. Super harsh on long hairI love the custom color, but the color is very hard on long hair. There is not enough shampoo or conditioner to adequately use with long hair either. HATE THE COLOR!I tried this for the first time in March. The color was much darker than I would have liked, so I canceled. I then received an email stating the next round was on the way. I called to cancel and told the customer service agent that the color was too dark. She suggested I try it again and I did. What a disappointment the second color was darker than the first. Was a perfect darkness and tone, for a week or so, but faded quicklyI dyed less than a month ago, maybe three weeks ago. And the colour was super beautiful and rich after dyeing, but now its faded to a lighter dark brown, with orange-y warm tones, which I hate, when I requested a neutral VERY dark brown colour. I think that's an unreasonable time for a permanent colour to fade, espcially when I don't wash every day and I avoid heat and use colour safe products only. Not the color I wantedI really liked how the color covered my grays and was easy to apply, but I did not like how the color turned out. I was recommended dark blonde and I specified that I would like it to not have any red tones in it. When I put in on it was very red. I contacted them and told them about the color. The colorist told me that they have formulated a different color that will reduce the brassiness and recommended trying their blonde neutralizer. Custom hair dyeI was so excited to try this product after seeing loads of positive reviews online! I have given this 1 star because 1. The inside packaging was ok 1. You can't give 0 star rating. I actually started choking when opening the small bottle of colour. It smells REALLY strong of chemicals! This product needs to come with a warning for asthmatics!! Secondly, the product is extremely runny so best to wrap a towel around your shoulders AND sit on a whole load of towels!! The products will run down your neck, shoulders and back whilst it's developing too! I had hoped the product would redeem itself once washed out and my hair blow dried buuuuut..........NO! It almost completely washed out of my hair leaving just some patches at the roots slightly tinged a gingery purple!!!! :O it didn't even properly cover my greys except for turning a few of them a proper bright ginger/strawberry blonde!! I would like to point out though that this was MY experience!! Waxy textureAlthough, I liked the color, after8 weeks it has a good coverage, but too much red highlights for being dark brown. The reason I am debating on using this again, is because of the waxy sticky texture upon rinsing and rinsing . Also many of reviews that I have read, talk about hair loss. Not good for RedI asked for a very intense red and I got brown with red undertones. It faded within 2 weeks and now I have to deal with brown hair for 8 weeks before I can dye it with better color again. There were too many steps the process took too long. Ruined my hair!I have to wear wigs due to a medical condition. I purchased a human hair wig, for $1400.00, and the esalon coloring system as the wig's color was too light. Halfway through the coloring process the solution turned purple! Not only did my new wig turn orange but the texture was ruined. I cannot wear it. Product was a disasterProcess involves two stages. The first stage went fine, though the product was a little runny and tended to drip down my neck and face. The second stage was a disaster. The smell of the product was so intense (ammonia-like, not sure what it was) that I was forced to abort the second stage and rinse my hair and flush my eyes and face for about five minutes. Not sure why. The second stage product was also so runny it slid off my hair and splashed around my bathroom, leaving a huge mess. Completely wrong colorI have long dark brown/black hair . With Grey roots. Explained in initial order that it was quite awhile since I colored my hair. I was very disappointed in the color result. Grey roots are red and the rest of my hair is dull brown. Did not have enough colorant for my thick full hair. Had better results with miss Clairol darkest brown. Too darkLove the concept of having bespoke hair colour delivered regularly. However the colour I received was very dark. I was expecting a warm medium brown but the colour was a dark brown, because the roots were so much darker than my hair I had to work the colour through the rest of my hair.
