I love this product, but...I’ve been using esalon for a couple of years now and I love it, except for one thing. Like many others have said, it is nearly impossible to rinse out. It leaves a waxy clumpy film that takes 5 + washes to finally get out. I keep hoping that they will fix the problem because so many have complained about it, but so far no luck. I am going to try a different company and see if I can get the same great results without the rinsing problem. Won’t be doing this again.So disappointed. I held off doing the color for a while and finally did it tonight. While my roots color looks great my ends didn’t seem to grab the color and look weird. Worst experience everThe smell was the start of a bad night. Couldn't finish dying hair, so roots are bright red, rest is old dull red. All fans on in house and all windows open and patio door, didn't help until I dumped the rest down the drain as I showered. Even in shower it burned my eyes and choked me. The dye is runy and ruined clothes and all my bathroom stuff. I prepped as I always do, still ruined everything. Not goodI've already written a poor review. I don't understand why I'm being prompted to write another one. But sure, I'll tell you again that your product stinks! It immediately began to fade in a week, by the third wash! This product is no better than the stuff you buy in the drug store or grocery store. And it is way over priced for the lack of quality product I have received. If I were you, I would not waste my time or money on this product. It is terrible if you are looking for something that will adequately cover your grays and not fade. Colour is never how it should be on my hair and it doesn't cover greys.I have auburn hair and I have tried this product 3 times to give it the benefit of the doubt just in case I didn't do it right or maybe the mix was wrong. I have ordered various medium blonde colours in Copper Pearl and Copper Ash and there wasn't any blonde in my hair when I had finished, in fact it was darker (my natural colour is more golden) and it didn't cover the grey. DisappointedI found eSalon to be no better than any other box dye. In fact, I would have been happier with a semi-permanent from the drug store rather than the permanent shade from eSalon that was the only one available in the colour I wanted. Although I admit it was very close to my natural shade, it turned out much more drab than the picture. wrong color- hard to wash outI ordered dark brown for my roots. They came out auburn/brown... I have to get root touch up at the store to re-do them. Also, when I got in the shower to rinse out the color I had a moment of panic because the dye was stuck in my hair like wax and was difficult to get out. Cancelling my order today. Didn’t cover even . Roots to light ends darkOver all the color is ok but as I told them before my roots generally come out lighter than the ends which happened with this product as well, even though I followed the directions to a T. My hair is a bit dry but normal for the process . There was no goopy residue as others say they have experienced. disappointedI have colored my hair for years, so I know what I am doing. However, you need another set of hands doing it with the brush and two bottles when you are supposed to separate your hair into sections, do your ends separately and then blend everything together. The love is gone!Did not cover grays well, if at all with last 4 colorings. Color faded and lackluster within 2 days. Nothing changed with hair care routine and only use sulfate and paraben free products on natural hair. Receiving more suggestions for maintenance product up-sale, however. Started losing a lot of hair after using this product!!After using this product a few times I noticed increased hair loss. This has not happened to me with other products. I tried to color the ends one time & it immediately noticed hair loss & breaking. Next time I did all over coloring. With continued use I am losing massive amounts of hair. Nothing specialNothing changed. If anything my hair is now just brown with a tint of red ONLY if I'm in the sun. The shampoo I bought gives more color than the dye. I think 2X was enough and I am not about to pay the amount they charge for the results I got. Great ColorNo complaints on the color because it is beautiful! I only have two cons; one- the color does not seem to last long at least on me! Less than two weeks and my roots are all over the place. Second- the strong ammonia smell. I had Legionella many years ago so my lungs are very much affected by the strong odor of this hair color. These are my only complaints though because customer service is awesome with this product and it is well worth it! The color is to red and too dark.I ordered a strawberry blonde color and it is clearly shown in my picture. The color I received is much to dark and much to red. It is more of a reddish auburn color. That is not at all like my picture or the color I wished to achieve. Definitely need work on making your red hair more natural. I am a natural redhead and this color is very unnatural. I have very light blonde hair .The last color I was sent made my hair brassy so I was sent another. It was a root color...way too dark...The brassy is gone, but my roots look like I'm growing out my hair color from a darker shade of blonde. All I wanted to do was color the grey ! I dyed it and it looks exactly the same as before I dyed it!I wanted a copper red color, but got a mousy brown with a reddish hue. Not trilled with this at all, my color does not look any thing like the color I choose. It also took 40 minutes as compared to my regular dye that only takes 25 minutes. I would have looked past this if I didn't wait my time dying my hair the identical color it was before. DisappointedVery Disappointed.. I sent another email after the one below and it’s not posted on my account.... I told you I was disappointed that my grey was not only not covered it turned greenish color.. I cancelled my future deliveries and never got a reply to this either.. I have a box of dye that has same dye mixture as last box.. that turned my hair greenish color I would like a credit .. I liked color was lighter than what I had.. So dissappointedI ordered a color called "intense copper" and filled out the questionnaire completely honestly. I even included photos of my hair so the colorist could make any professional decisions. The product showed up, packaged nicely and very cute. I followed the dying instructions to a tee and ended up with slightly warm dark brown hair. Not anything like I wanted. Not anything like the picture. The drug store box dyes I have tried give me a better color and for much less money. I am so sad, I truly thought I could get the more vibrant shade of copper that I can never find at the store. Disappointing, leaves hair waxyI had high hopes for using this product and the color turned out good, however cannot get past the waxy outcome. I used this product yesterday and will never use again. The shampoo that came with this did nothing. It just was not washing out. I used my Biologe shampoo and after two more deep washes I thought I got it out. I had to open my eyes to find the shampoo (as I wasn’t expecting to need it) and when the water ran in my face the product was too...I ended up with irritated eyes even today. After three shampoos I thought I was good, however it still isn’t washed out and still feels waxy. I had to go to the salon today to ask for help, and they recommended a clarifying shampoo to try to remove the residue it has left on my hair, which has cost me more money now. It also left a waxy feeling on my shower floor (have never had this before!). I hope this doesn’t damage my hair and have learned to just stay with the salon for the best outcome. Gray coverageThe overall color was accurate to the picture shown, however, I have a lot of gray hair and the color did not stick to my gray hairs. This isn't the first time I have had issues with this. I have gone to salons, purchased box dye and use different brands of dye and had similar results. Greys not covered see picturesI did my hair today January 16, 2019, I did around my face before anything, then the rest of my roots. I followed the direction to the "T" This product Didn't cover my greys no more then the other Hair dyes I buy. I want to cancel my membership I would like a refund!!!.. Was not worth the money to me. Expected moreThe color for my roots was nice, the length has a silvery tone to it. Not thrilled about that. Was supposed to be a reddish brown. Even with using the stain shield gel, it still stained pretty bad and the wipe did not work. Also—- I looked into this and specifically called the number to find out if this was safe to use during pregnancy. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IF PREGNANT. BEWARE: Damaged HairI tried the highlights and it damaged my hair but was told that I could not receive a refund because product was sent to me to fix the highlights and it actually took most of my hair out and the highlights didn't even go away. Totally disappointed and very upset that I have to go around each day with clumps of hair missing and unwanted highlights and no money back nor compensation for my damaged hair. I contacted eSalon and explained in detail what happened and that I could send pics but the only thing offered and sent was a moisture mask which I refuse to even open the box. False advertisement with 100% satisfaction. Custom ColorI love the color but for some reason when switching back from medium brown to dark brown my roots did not take (I have about 4-5 inches of medium brown then the rest of my hair is dark brown). Disappointed with outcomeThe color I was sent made my hair color darker than I requested and did not cover the greys. It was upsetting how dark the color came out. Nothing changed ;(I thought by sending pictures of before and after will help my stylist to help me achieve my color. Sadly, after all the hassle and struggle of application, I never had any changes whatsoever. Seems like i just took a bath and that's it which is sad as I've read a lot of good reviews. asking for color adjustmentI wanted to go a "shade" darker. Which to me was just a shade, as in a slight change. All the communication I received was, "your color has been adjusted". The shock to me was when I colored my hair and rinsing it out, I was not blonde anymore, but now a light/medium brown. There really is no communication. You ask for a color, you get it. I am not satisfiedI was disappointed with this color set. I even did not try highlights I ordered with this color. Color itself was good, my hair soft and shiny after coloring. But it did not cover my grays. Right after coloring I could see the difference between gray and not gray hair. Now, three weeks after coloring my grays don't keep color, not only grown roots, but all hair length. Probably will stop using using your products unless you have something more suitable for gray hair. Not what I orderedPretty sure the somewhat dark brown colour I was sent was no where near the dark ash blonde I had ordered..... if you want to make a good product start with giving customers what they order. Sad.... Roots and Ends Mismatch***** I have to edit my first review to give a review on the replacement product from eSalon as they do not have that as an option. My second review isn't any better than my first review. It took eSalon 2 weeks to respond to me and the only reason why they fixed it was because I finally picked up the phone and called them. But I got a new kit. Hooray. Only my replacement kit did not have everything I needed to color my hair. It was missing the applicator. Really you guys? This is the best you could do with a replacement kit? In the second kit the hair color itself is not even half as pretty as the first one. My 2nd hair color is very flat, is not multi-tonal and there's No Dimension to it. At All. The double process has left my hair dry dry dry. I'm sad and disappointed. I just wanted pretty hair and I really wanted to love to love to love it. My experience with eSalon has not been the best. At all. The ball is in your court eSalon. I am giving you a chance to make this right for me. I need you to be proactive and fix this please. Who knows maybe third time really will be a charm ?? I am leaving this in your hands and it is up to you to keep me as a customer and make this right***** I was so excited to finally try this product. The color came out wonderful. On my roots that is. However the bottom portion of my hair, from about four inches from my roots down my hair is a completely different color. My ends and my roots are mismatched. Ugh. My gray is covered wonderfully, however I'm not happy because my hair is two different colors. At least at the salon I wouldn't have to deal with this I would have paid more but I would have had my gray coverage and my roots would have matched my ends for much longer than the eSalon product. I reached out to eat salon the day after I colored my hair. It's been 2 weeks and I have not heard back from them. I wish they would keep their word about 100% satisfaction guaranteed.
