Very disappointedI have to say I was most disappointed in your product. I was very excited to use it and willing to pay more for purchases of hair color than I would have at Walmart or the grocery store. The color was nothing special or full of "sheen" as your photos suggested but worse still it is not having the staying power of covering the gray along my temples as the other product I used after only 2 weeks! Not What I ExpectedI am one who colors my hair at home often. I found this kit to be frustrating to use and smelled horrible. There was only one pair of gloves included which I expected but then it says to shower and rinse with a clean pair of gloves? The second bottle smelled so intense that I was gagging from the fumes while trying to finish coloring my hair. I was disappointed that it didn't include a tube of conditioner like a store kit does. It was only enough conditioner for one use. The color was not all that different from what I get from the store. I think the idea is nice I just don't think this is for me. Maybe better for women who have more salon experience. It was hard to section my hair and then color it and use the brush. It was just a mess. Since I had requested a red tone it looked like a murder scene in my bathroom because of the mess. It was as if I had never colored my hair before! It's okNot to impressed, can get the same results going to Walmart and buying hair color. Only got a 5onz tube of conditioner... Wow copper!My hair went from dark blonde to brown with lots of brassy/orange color. I’m devastated. I just wanted to cover a few gray hairs. I want my natural hair back. I wish I would have never seen you site and been mislead by all the reviews. I should have taken notice that most of the reviews with pictures were those of red heads. Made my hair reddish tone and brighterThe color is reddish tone when I asked for ash it was to keep red out of my hair. Which usually with ash it does. I was upset also to have grey hair still. The color did not stick to the grey nor cover it. I was impressed with the cute box and the fast delivery. I was also impressed with how much color you get it was enough to drench my hair. It did have a strong odor to it which even with my fan and door open I had to step out to breath. My hair is shinier and soft though. Probably one of the worst hair coloring experience I’ve had.Not very happy with the color at all. If I could attach pictures I would. I stated I would like a color that brightens up my hair, that I don’t like too dark and want to not have any black. My hair color is a medium brown and was currently a little darker than I liked, but not black. Yet After the first coloring treatment with esalon I now have jet black hair. I’m very discouraged and will not be ordering again. Plus the ease of the whole process is a mess. I would be happier with a one step situation and this was many. I’ve used many box colors before with way better outcomes. Also I did use the stain preventive and it didn’t work at all, neither did the one wipe provided. Too dark and some residue?I order a dark brown and it was almost black. But a very nice dark brown color, I just can’t pull off such dark hair with such pale skin. Also a section of my ends had some kind of waxy residue left on it that I had to wash 3 times and rinse with acv to finally get out. Horrified at my dark locks.Under the recommendation from my friend, I was interested to try Esalon out but am horrified that I have gone from a warm rose gold to a flat dark brown, with uneven tones. Although delivery was speedy from the USA to England. I cannot say that will be recommending Esalon to my friends & family. I now have an appoint with a colourist to see if she can salvage my colour. God only knows how much this will cost to put straight. As for Esalon’s “100% guarantee or its on us”, I can’t see how to complain & judging by all the negative reviews online, I will have to put this down to a hard & expensive lesson as I should have done more research prior to ordering from Esalon. Still not the color I am afterThis is the 2nd time I am trying to get my hair to a medium blond. My instructions are to color my roots with the 1st bottle for 30 min., and then use the 2nd bottle on the length for 10 min. The roots are darker, it’s been over a week, and the root color is starting to lighten up a little, so it’s not as noticeable, but I wasn’t very happy. Pros and consIt’s definitely cheaper than a salon, but I usually buy box dye from the store and color my hair myself. This treatment left my hair in hard clumps while coloring. I figured no problem that it will just wash out. Nope! Even while washing, my hair still stayed in clumps. I had to wash and conditioner it twice just to break up the clumps. My hair is definitely not soft anymore. Maybe after a few more washes it will be okay. I had reddish brown colored hair prior to treatment, and I was trying to aim for a medium brown. I got a reddish medium brown. It’s not bad, but I was hoping to get rid of the red, but maybe I would have had to strip it first. My hair holds red really well. They sent me two bottles, but I only needed one bottle. My hair is long but fine. Waxy mess!I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. My hair was a waxy mess even with following the instructions exactly. I couldn’t get a comb through easily, couldn’t blow dry my hair and it kept leaving the waxy residue on my hands. I seriously had to wash my hair 8 times to get the gunk out. I still had residue but it was manageable. I’ve been dying and getting my hair dyed for 25 yrs and have never had this experience. Color was completely offAfter follow the directions and application process and letting my hair dry naturally, I looked at my newly dyed hair and was very disappointed. The grays in the front of my hair did not take the dye, the color was darker than the original color of my hair and it looks very flat. When washing it with the shampoo, I lost a fist-full of hair. HmmmI was so excited about my hair color coming in the mail. I did it. Followed instructions BUT my results are not...Well, I don’t like it. I have been wearing my hair up since I did it because I am not happy with the color it turned out. Its way dark and not what it shows on the screen at all. Every time I wash my hair, I still see red in the water. I don’t know what to say. It cover my gray but the coloring is not nice and even. The color I used to get from the grocery store turned as in the box and it was even all over. How can this one didn’t do that?? This color looks bad. I wish it wasn’t the case. I really do. Wanted way darkerI had indicated that I wanted to darken my overall hair color quite significantly (wanted to go to a dark brown color). After I was done coloring you could barely tell that I had done anything. My husband did not even realize I had colored my hair. Very disappointing as I feel I wasted $30. Not a pleasant experienceI enjoyed opening my personalised packaging, but the product left my hair in different colour than expected and it was extremely difficult to wash it off. Very confused as to what the heck this color team is thinkingI politely provided a review of the product I received as ESALON ASKED ME TO. The color was great on the bottom half of my ends, which is what I told them. However, I expressed that the roots looked really terrible and not the color that I wanted. Instead of offering to send me a corrected dye to fix the bad 2 toned application, they notified me they made a new mixture, which was the OPPOSITE of what I expressed in the review. They made the entire color the ash brown (which was not ash it was a softener light brown which quickly became red after I dyed it). I am really not pleased with the quality of the dye either as it faded FASTER than boxed dye and my all over hair color is getting as brassy as my hair was before when I hadn't dyed in 6+ months (which looked terrible). So in conclusion I have 2 toned hair (lighter red top hair) and lengths that are somewhat darker and becoming more brassy. Also should note I use after color sealer to seal the cuticle and prevent oxidizing, wait 72 hours to wash my thin hair after colored hair (which takes dedication because it quickly gets greasy), and use salon formula shampoo and conditioners for dyed hair. Not impressed with the 100% satisfaction guarantee so far! Going to go out and get a box of dye to fix this before the holidays is what seems to be the answer. UPDATED REVIEW 2/10/19: It just keeps getting worse. a 3RD TRY, and the stylists/ customer service associates have ignored me again. I asked for ALL OVER PERMANENT DYE applications on both corrected orders and this 3rd one, they went back and gave me the exact same order as the first order I received which I complained about because it left my head TWO DIFFERENT COLORS. These people seem to be able to get it right, or follow through or listen to any instruction. I am beyond displeased. Great color but waxy, doesn't rinse outAs others have experienced, the color is great, exceeding my expectations. But have shampooed 4 times since coloring last night and hair still feels waxy. This is especially a problem for me because I have a lot of hair and live in a fairly humid environment so my hair won't dry. Disappointed!I was so excited to receive my order. Not so much after using it. Color was way too dark. I had blonde hair and wanted to add some very light Auburn/copper. I even uploaded a picture of my hair color. I also had to wash my hair literally 5 times after coloring because the products made my hair so greasy/oily. Disappointed in my purchase. Loved the strand test but did not like the complete turn out.When I did the strand test everything looked great and I thought I would enjoy it but upon completion, I was not in love with the look. Not at all what I wantedWhen I selected a color, I expected red undertones but my hair is basically maroon and I followed the directions exactly. Would not recommendTurned out nothing like the picture. I understood with my darker hair that the coloring may not be amazing as advertised, but I did expect a bit more. After trying to dye my hair twice it was still barely noticeable and what little was in there pretty much washed out after two washes. Few disappointments, but willing to try againThe color did turn out great, however, it was not mahogany. The level was right on, but I don't feel there was really much "red" at all. Also, I did not receive two pairs of gloves. I only got 3 gloves total. Which made the last step mighty difficult. (I did not realize I was short a glove until it was that time) Also, I have fine hair that is shoulder length, but it is super thick. DisappointedTo start with the kit doesn't fit through the letter box so I had to collect it from the post office, which is very annoying. Just because you print my name on the instructions doesn't make it personalised. I found the whole thing very generic. I also found the dye very hard to wash out of my hair, the shampoo they provide you with didn't help. It took me a few washes to get it fully out. It was leaving a claggy residue at my roots. The colour is OK, no better or worse that a box dye from the shops. Left hair waxyI have used this same color a few times now. The first few times my hair felt fantastic and healthy. This last time the product coated my hair and was very waxy and difficult to wash out. I had to wash my hair multiple times with a strong clarifying product before my hair felt normal again. I was highly disappointed. After this experience I went back and read some of the one and two star reviews and see that many people have had this same issue after the first couple applications. Did you change the formula or is this some kind of bait and switch thing?? I do not color my hair often, usually only 2/3 times a year so I know my hair hasn't been over processed. Actually, I prefer the boxed color that I can find anywhere. I highly recommend you save your money and purchase Feria instead. It's a better product. High expectationsI was excited to get my color package but wasn't able to try it until a few days ago. I am not so excited any more. It didn't have enough purple in it and it seems to have been too much on my hair as it is frizzy. Soft but frizzy and the color just not good. The color is awesome, but it was SO hard to remove the product from my hairI’ve washed my hair four times now and I still can’t get the dye off my hair. It’s almost like an oily glue goop that makes my hair stick together and it is VERY hard to wash out. I don’t know what is in the dye, but I’ve never had this problem before. Wrong colorI colored my hair and followed the step by step instructions, I was left with a brown copper color for my roots, which I wanted but then a dark brown purplish/red color for my ends. I am not happy at all. The colors are COMPLETELY different and in no way shape or form should ever be chosen to fade into one another, especially by a "professional". Hmm.Honestly I'm not sure what went wrong. The thing I disliked the most was when I washed the color from the strip of hair I tested my color on. Even after I used the shampoo and conditioner provided my hands and that strip of hair were left feeling greasy. Its been years since I last dyed my hair but I dont remember having that issue with boxed dye from the store. BurningColor wasn’t even close to what I asked for, but that’s ok, cause it washed out in 2 washes, but the worst was the excruciating burning of my scalp for over a week after dying. I’ve done my hair at home several dozen times with multiple brands and this is the first time I’ve ever experienced the burn that this chemical composition put on my skin. Hands, shoulders, back, no exposed skin was safe. I was protected through the dying process, but just rinsing it out and splashing a bit on these parts of my body was enough to leave a burn, even though I showered after the whole thing.
