brassy orange colorI wanted to love this kit. I color my hair at home often and never have issues. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case with this kit. I specified I needed all over color as I was going a shade lighter. I was sent a “roots only” kit. The color was way off from what I requested. It was to be a medium blonde. It turned my roots a weird brassy, orange color and completely dried out my hair. I utilized the enclosed shampoo and conditioner hoping this would combat the dryness. It didn’t. I couldn’t even get a comb through my hair without a heavy dosing of leave in conditioner, which is not normal for my hair. Save your moneyNot very impressed with this product especially for grays. Purchased the shampoo/conditioner sold on here and witching a week the grey was showing again. Was told I needed to change the formula. So I did and same thing. For $30 I would hope I’d get atleast 3weeks coverage. Going back to doing my own. Hello Sally Beauty supply. Poor gray coverageI agree with other reviews. I have been happily using this product for quite a while now but recently within two weeks my grays are showing through clearly, and I’m noticing poorer coverage even immediately after coloring. I thought it was me - I didn’t realize the formula had changed. A bit disappointed and will try another brand. premiere commandeSur la couleur, quelques modifications à faire mais l'avis général est positif. Par contre, ayant indiqué des cheveux épais, j'étais juste niveau quantité (ayant l'habitude des colorations maison, je mets les bonnes quantités). Pour ma seconde commande, on vient de m'envoyer la quantité pour racines uniquement (alors que le prix est le même que pour racines et longueurs). Etant blonde, j'ai besoin d'étirer sur les longueurs pour éviter le jaune. Bref, j'attends de voir la quantité à recevoir mais je suis un peu déçue. My roots are orangeI followed the directions exactly, timed everything to a T, and my roots are ORANGE. It's going to cost me $325 for a color correction in a salon to fix this. I've been getting my hair colored in a salon for decades and thought I'd give this a try. I do NOT recommend it if you're going lighter. Color way off and no response from emailGot my product and was really excited to try it but was suspect about the color so I did a strand test. Glad I did as the color was not close to blonde. Grey coverage is disappointingLike several other reviewers, I have noticed that the grey coverage isn’t as good as it used to be. Also, my color is oxidizing (going from dark brown to brassy orange) sooner than normal (with usual and consistent exposure to sun, which speeds up oxidation). Ruined my hairSo unhappy, ordered a light brown mahogany copper colour, my hair was a bright copper beforehand. Turned it a dark red/brown, mucky looking. Devastated as it took so long to get my hair to that shade and now it's ruined and will cost me more money to fix. Would give zero stars if I could. Even the hair colour in the bottle was dark purple, I rechecked the colour over and over and all said "light brown mahogany/copper. * AVOID AVOID AVOID * Edit to reply: No I haven't been helped or contacted by anyone. HindsightI was hesitant to try your product although I have heard amazing reviews from podcasters. I haven't tried to color my hair at home in 25 years. I had a terrible result. But I take partial responsibility but also found the directions poorly done. First mistake, when asking "for your natural color hair", I completed the color choice chart, my natural color's lightest choice was SO dark that I bumped my self up to the least blondest of what seemed the right color. * I think in doing this I choose too light of a bleach and the results were penny copper. ** It was pretty horrifying. Another error is I felt like there was so much mixture that I didn't need to mix it all and put it all on my head. So I left some back. ** I should have mixed it all and only used what I needed. (this could be stated in the directions too) The final big misunderstanding came with the application. I was given a brush and instructions to choose to use the brush or apply directly to the hair. There was no further instruction as to why I would choose one over the other. Which tool is best for my desired results and how to use the brush tool. No changeI was so excited to get my color and try it out, but after I went through the whole process, there was literally no change at all on my hair. The roots were still grayish and the overall color didn’t change at all. It’s frustrating because I don’t want to over process my hair, so I’ll have to wait 8 more weeks before I try to fix it. Wrong colorI have used E Salon for 5 yrs and never had any problems. The last 6 mos, I have been sent the wrong color formula. I have informed E Salon every time and they keep sending me the wrong color formula. It is labeled with the same color formula, but I am mahogany and the color formula has gone from dk brown to light yellow. Shame formula has changedVery disappointed, after using this products.for a couple of years now, i have had 3 subsequent disasters. Hair turned pinkish at the rootsMy hair at the roots actually turned a dark pink/mauve. Is there another recommendation for a custom color. Not the colour in mindI was very excited to try esalon’s custom colour however it just didn’t deliver what it promised. Asked for a dark copper colour and have been given a flat, dull and dry maroon red colour. The process has left my hair in a state to which I’m not sure what to do with it. Also having issues with not covering grayI’ve been using r salon for many years. My roots always stayed the proper color until they grew out. Something has changed, it’s washing off Of the gray really easily now. Considering that over half of my hair is gray at this point that’s not going very well. Went from good 2016 to terrible 2022Color match is not good. One month it is red, next when I state I DO NOT want red they make it black. Terrible colorists! DisappointedI have been using esalon hair color for quite awhile now. Usually I love the results but yesterday when I did my hair, it covered my new growth fine but didn't cover my grays well at all. I did it the same as I always do according to the directions but for some reason in natural light especially I have alot of grays. Wrong colourI chose the medium brown shade expecting the colour to match my roots pretty well and cover up the blonde ends. Unfortunately when I coloured my hair it came out almost black. It’s very very dark brown and I am definitely disappointed. I know it will fade over time, but it’s definitely not the colour I chose. The color was brighter than expected.Actually the color was brighter in the front of my head and much darker in the rest of my hair. I am not sure if it had to do with the way I applied it. Permanent? Nope.Ive had cheap boxed dye last longer. This is low quality and not recommended. I tried it out for two months and had nothing but disappointment. Not the sameWhen they switched to the new products it's not the same so I stopped my order. I'm only doing this review because they won't stop sending me emails that I never signed up for. The Smell was too much to takeThe color and coverage was very good, The product did leave my hair a bit coarser than it normally is, but some extra conditioner takes care of that. Whats the point of a custom service?I explicitly mentioned my thick hair and virgin roots. I got the package and it wasnt enough for my whole head (this service is geared towards people with thinner and lighter hair apparently). I also followed their directions. I have been box dyieing my hair for years. This is the ONLY time I have ever gotten light roots like a damn band. And it did nothing to my lower hair.
