Did my color change?This last batch looks different from the previous batches. All I needed to do was a root touch up and noticed the color is different than the previous batches I have received. I really like the previous batches because it showed less red. Now, the redness is back. It was noticeable when I blow dried my hair. The red was very noticeable. The color has a purple overtoneHello After speaking with your representative I thought she understood what I wanted the color I ordered was dark Auburn and what I got was a brown/black with purple overtones. From what I can remember none of the photos sent show me with brown/black hair. This is my natural color but not what I wanted, it should have been Dark Auburn with reddish overtones. To me this is what it is and in speaking with your rep I thought I conveyed this. I've suspended till May with a possibility of cancellation. Oddly enough the store bought kinds have always given me the right color but don't stay as long. I was given a good recommendation from Terlyn Nowell love her color. What happened to mine? Not what I ordered....I ordered black hair color with visible blue highlights. I got straight black hair color, you can't see any blue at all anywhere in my hair. Was supposed to receive an application brush with my order. The brush was not sent to me. I could have just went to walmart and got the color I wanted for cheaper. Could be better for grey coverageI have to say I was disappointed. Grey started to show after a weekMy hair took the colour really well, but after a week I could see grey strands forming around my hairline. Couldn't get color rightThree strikes. I tried three times and I was careful to explain each time what I was looking for. Natural medium brown hair with a natural reddish tint. Color faded in a weekOver all I was very disappointed. Thecolor was great however within a week it was already starting to fade and by the end of week two I couldnt wait to pick up a box of color at the store & redo it. Leaves hair oilyI am not sure if it's the shampoo or the color, but I have to wash my hair with my own shampoo to get the oily and goopy feeling out of my hair. The first time I colored, I thought it was the conditioner. I didn't use the conditioner the second time and my hair still turned out horrible feeling. The color is good and lasts as expected. I just can't figure out how to make my hair feel clean after coloring without rewashing it. Also, don't get this in your eyes when washing it out. It pretty much blinds you until you can get lots of clear water in your eyes to flush it out. Still the same thing as other product that I got from any storeIt no difference from the color I bought from any other store. It still cannot cover the gray hair on the edge of my face and forehead. Overall I like, and would recommend the product...just a couple of things.The consistency of the color makes it hard to get all hair covered. I find I sometimes miss little areas. I don't usually have this problem. Also, my last color didn't grab the hair as well. The color was quite a bit lighter at the root compared to the rest of my hair. Beautiful colorThe color was very pretty when I first applied it. It covered all the gray like I wanted. Unfortunately after about 3 weeks the color started to fade. Especially at the roots. I don't see any reason to pay the amount for this product when an OTC product works just as well if not better for a much cheaper price. So sorry. What happened to my shine?This left my once-shiny hair very dull and ugly. I followed the directions exactly so I'm not sure what happened. I was hoping after a couple washings the shine would return, however, that has not happened. I got better results with my drugstore brand. Sorry, but this does not work on my hair. Low qualityI was excited to try esalon last summer and the first batch that came seemed great! The two bottles they sent me had the darker base and a lighter color for the ends. My shipments after that had only the darker color and they told me I had to pay extra for the lighter touches...hmmm. After a few applications of the color, my hair is dry and brittle. I'm constantly trying to moisturize it to bring back life and softness. The shampoo and conditioner that I bought with my first purchase did nothing to improve the appearance or feel of my hair, either. The color was pretty good, I must say, but I think I could get that color in any box. The absolute worst part, though, was that when I used the color the last time, a clump of hair fell out while I was shampooing the product out. I wonder now it this product is the reason my brush seems to have had a lot more hair in it the last 6 months. I'm done. It's just way too damaging on my hair. Unexpected resultThe color suppose to be "cool beige". I applied everything correct according to the instructions. But it turned to be gingery on my roots (like the warm beige would be). The bleached part of hairs took color ok. But my naturally ashy roots now ginger and in couple weeks the difference would be obvious and I would have to dye my hairs again. Okay coverageWas fun to receive box with all the little touches. Good instructions and included everything needed for application. Only thing is rather disappointed with color selection. I requested a golden brown color and instead turned out very coppery red. Not bad since was considering that color line but was not what I ordered. So the colorists must have augmented what I selected. Also I just colored it two weeks ago and grey is visibly coming back.... so not exactly happy about that. Hair ColorThe permanent color I ordered and applied (exactly according to the directions that came with it) lasted about 2 weeks before it all faded out and all my gray was exposed again. My daughter actually uses a drugstore semi-permanent color on her hair that lasts for a few months! This was the first time coloring my hair, and I expected much more from a permanent hair color. eSalon did a nice job matching my color....it just didn't last. They also offered a free bottle of hair color to fix my color loss, but I don't need that fuss. So, I have decided to just embrace my gray! I contacted them and asked what I could do and they told me that they would get back to me when it was time for me to reorder and that I would have to recolor my hair in 3 weeks. Color Made Just for MeI don't like giving this a 3, as the color matched perfectly and it looked fabulous. It just didn't cover the grays I was hoping to cover. If someone said I see you've got a gray hair, I would be shocked! At 44 I don't have that many and I only see them when I'm up close and personal with my hair in the mirror. So I chose the lowest setting for gray coverage. Unfortunately, it didn't cover the grays at all! But the color sat on those gray hairs longer than any other part of my hair. I was perplexed. Not anywhere closeI followed precise instructions, sent in pictures and everything. My hair went from a medium brown with gold tones to dark brown with auburn in it (I want to lighten just a tad). The color I picked was Golden Copper, so I knew there would be some red. Overall I would not recommend. Also made my hair very hard to dry and oily. Will be looking elsewhere.
