Not for meI have been using the same hair color for years. Its root touch up #4. When I tried your product naturally I compared it to mine. eSalon just didn't give me the color I wanted, and it took much longer. I found my roots turning lighter than the rest of my hair and almost turned red. I was horrified. I am sorry, I am sure your product is great, but it is just not for me. please make sure you don't send or charge me for any more. I will not be using the one that was just sent to me. Same formula despite change requestsI have asked for a new color every way I know how. I have even uploaded photos of myself with the color I am trying to match. The box comes and says "new custom formula!" but I've saved the paper from each batch, and it seems to be the exact same formula every time. Product hardened in my hair and was difficult to wash outI had quite a scary experience where the product congealed in my hair and I had difficulty washing out. I ended up having to use regular shampoo for 5 washes....and still had some congealed film in some areas. The colour and coverage was OK. Colour too darkThis was my first order and it was too dark however the colourist has communicated with me by email and phone and they have adjusted it in order for me to place my second order. I hope it will be correct this time! I found the shampoo very sticky and was not easy to rinse out. It took 2 full hair washed to get rid of the dense sticky residue. Not impressedI've been using your hair color for some time, but I don't think it's any better than the store bought varieties. It doesn't last any longer or work any better in my opinion. Not what I expectedI was excited to have a custom color made for me that I didn't have to pay a fortune for or sit through I salon session to receive. I hve an anxiety disorder and the salon is not an easy place for me. My hair is high maintenance for color as I have had sporadic grays since I was 19. I have always alternated between salons and box color since I started coloring my hair at 16. The product was nicely packaged and the instructions were typical and easy to follow. I found the product itself very runny and difficult to apply. I made a huge mess in my bathroom and I consider myself skilled with hair coloring as I have done everything from bleaching ro highlighting myself in the past. The color was darker than I expected and much more red. I had been going to a salon prior to this home color session and my hair was a faded purple mess, I was looking for a violet red color with a medium brown richness. What I got was dark brown hair with a hint of red when I went out in the sun. My hair only started to show violet again when it faded which happened after three washes. I use Joico shampoo and conditioner for corlored hair. I also got the purple tinted refresher from esalon and I will say that is a great product because without it my hair would not have looked ok after those three shampoos. After I rinsed the color from my hair it was like straw. The shampoo and conditioner provided did not help me get a comb through it. I had to use leave in conditioner inmy hair to make it feel somewhat normal. Color Doesn't Last After ShampooI have tried three orders so far. The color looks about right after the second shampoo. Unfortunately, after the third shampoo, the color fades quickly. For the price, I probably will look for a less expensive color because I am very grey and color frequently. Seems cheaper to just use Loreal from the store. good color for first few daysI really liked your product the first time I used it. The second was ok. However the 3rd and 4th time the color has faded quickly and looks too brassy. best color for me!!I just love the color when i first do it however....the color fades fast into a very very blonde color. I am assuming it is from the hairdryer. Gray hair looks pink after few weeksAfter about 3 weeks the fade out of the red makes my gray look pink. Also there is not enough color to go through my whole head of hair. 1st time and 2nd experience1st time I dyed my hair it was excellent. I didn't see one gray hair for 4&1/2 weeks. 2nd time I dyed my hair it lasted MAYBE 2 weeks. It goes on so easy and spreads through my hair smoothly. But I'm not sure I'm going to give it a 3rd chance I would like it to last more than 2 weeks. Color didn't turn out rightThey sent me the "blue black" color (which is what I wanted), but it turned out just black. When I was dying my hair, I could see the blue tint in the dye....but literally after washing and drying, my hair turned out to be just a soft black with absolutely no hint of blue. I was disappointed because I followed the instructions word for word. It's still a nice color, but not entirely what I wanted. Not desired colorWhoever processed my request seems like they didn't understand the color I wanted. My hair got way darker and redder when I wanted it to be somewhat the same color(light brown with caramel tones). I was very excited, now I am very disappointed :-( I just woke up and saw my hair in daylight... Ugh I hate it. I reduced the rating from 2 stars to 1. I wish there was no stars. I hate it!!! I had beautiful caramel colored light brown hair and all I wanted was a Match. They couldn't even tell from the picture I sent them apparently. I hate it so much!!!! Day 3 update. Omg I hate it even more. It's the middle of the summer and j lost all the beautiful gold from my hair. It's dark brown. What part of light golden brown didn't the color "specialist" get is beyond me. How? Really how? Now I'm going to wait for 6 weeks before I get my hair fixed which is the end of the summer. You ruined my summer fun hair. It Damaged My HairI would not recommend this product. It damaged my hair. Ruined my hairI used your product and turned my hair black ...I went tout a salon to fix it and they had to make my whole head dark not the light brown that it usuallyis so now I have to wait months to even go lighter because they did a stran test and it turned orange ......never .again and you should at least get a pic of the persons hair and match it better .....I now have very dark hair and I'm not happy .....the salon said that your product does not have the products you claim ... Doesn't live up to expectationsI bought this product hoping that it would be better then the products I have been buying from the beauty supply store. This hair color didn't last any longer then the $4.00 box I bought at ulta. After the fist wash (using the recommended shampoo and conditioner purchased through esalon) the color was noticeably faded. I was very disappointed with how much fading there was. I gave esalon 3 attempts at adjusting the formula but there wasn't any difference. Base color is too brassy stillI have been trying to work with eSalon to get them to help me. They seem responsive to a point, but when I continue to struggle with the issue after many attempts, I thought they could tell me, "Well, try this instead." They did suggest Tinted Love, but still it doesn't subdue it enough. Not that goodSorry but this hair color/product is no better than the supermarket brands. Doesn't have staying color plus my hair lost its shine completely! Also hate the color the colorist recommended, said we couldn't go the color we wanted (come on, I have been coloring my hair more than 30 years) but I said, OK, she is the expert, right? COLORI want RED hair, I have expressed I want RED hair! instead I have dark, almost black with very little hints of RED. Only can see in extreme bright light! So far I am not happy at all. The first color I got wasn't much different. On the second order I spoke to them on the phone....... guess they didn't understand. I want to go from my natural med brown to RED. colorI have tried for over a year to get my color right. I am not a satisfied customer at this point. At one point you made my hair so dark I Had to go have it professionally lightened. Send new pics and starting over explaining over, and over, and over. Less brown more RED. I AM A RED HEAD. brown to copper. To much copper then red. THEN IM ORANGE. well guess what. I have to have it corrected professionally again. I give up. I don't know what to say. You did have it right a few times. But if I asked for change it didn't work. Sorry. Not satisfied. If you look back and see how many times I wasn't satisfied and gave you a chance over and over. I guess the guarantee doesn't apply all the time. Will I try you again. I really don't know. Unfortunately disappointedI'm not sure how this went wrong. I ordered a darkest brown color for my hair, which is mostly already overall a dyed darker shade of brown. I applied color to roots as instructed and then waited the given time, later applied the color to my ends and waited..Followed after rinsing instruction. I couldn't tell till my hair was dried that the parts that had faded from my old color from a few months ago were not even darker (I naturally darker brown hair with ash blonde streaks, so when color fades, I've noticed that streaked area tends to do so first). One of the reasons I wanted this product regularly was to do my roots of course, but also at this time I wanted to cover that streaked area, from time to time into a darker shade, a shade of darkest brown.. It wound up a medium kind of mousey brown at best on that area. Very little change whatsoever, if at all. Way too dark!The first shipment contained a free color for a dual process and the color was fabulous. Next shipment, color single process) was really dark. Did not cover my grays at all.My hair had no color or chemicals on it and yet this product did not cover the grays. I was willing to lose some of the pretty summer sun highlights in order to cover the gray, but this did not work. Very Bad Quality Hair ColorI noticed that it wasn't working well when 30 minutes passed and I didn't see the roots any lighter. I followed directions and didn't get good results at all. It did not cover grays at all and my scalp and hair are still extremely dry from the product. I will not be ordering again in the future.
