Color didn't keep - roots started showing again after 3 weeks.Never had an issue with coloring hair at home from the over the counter hair Dyes. this is the 1st time I was not happy with the results after 3 weeks. most hair dyes at home, my roots start to show after 60-75 days. color not for meunfortunately, the color was too dark and had too much of a red tone in it. My hair tends to pull red as the color washes out, was not pleased with the product at all. Not a good experienceProbably the drippiest, messiest, most frustrating dye I've ever used. Color is way darker than what was pictured or what I anticipated. Color is also completely flat. There is no dimension or highlight to it. It looks like I'm wearing a black, curly, wool hat all the time. I've been using the Heart Lock It shampoo as well, and even after 4 washes, the shampoo is still pulling dye out of my hair. My hair also feels terrible. Very dry, frizzy, and lifeless. DisappointingI followed directions to the letter and must say I was disappointed by the results this time. My gray hair was covered but so was the rest of my hair which turned darker. The feel of my hair was coarse and very unmanageable. It's growing out and getting better since I trimmed it. Don't think I'll try that again. Color was not as vibrant as I wantedI was looking for a true plum color, but after my second time using these products, the color was still more of a really dark brown with a bit of reddish highlights. Had a red tintI ask for light ash blond. It was more a strawberry blond. I hated it. I had to put the darker color (dark ash blond) from my July order on my hair to cut the pink tint. Sadly not working.I have not managed to get across to the colour specialist what I wanted, this now the 2nd time its has gone wrong, I have got a colour that is so dark my hair is like Katy Perry's. It is a little red.Don't get me wrong, I would rather have a little red than grey. I love your hair color because it has a lot of color dimensions to it. We are going into winter so it is not a big deal, but I am very dark complected. I have Olive skin. I should have told you guys that my hair does have some red in it. My hair is processed already and for some reason, turned my strand test hair a pink hue, therefore, I did not proceed with the entire head. I will say that Esalon has been very helpful and professional in dealing with me, which I appreciated. Not For MeIn all the years that I have colored my hair I have never used different colors for my roots and ends but that's what came in my kit. My hair is now copper on the ends and an ugly brown at the roots. It looks horrible. I can't imagine what it's going to take to fix this. It messed my hair up.I waited 24 after a wash to dye my hair right? So I dyed my hair expecting it to work and look good. No, it made this oil in my hair that would not wash out no matter what.
