Not funThis was my 2nd coloring with eSalon custom color. The customer service is fantastic but coloring experience this time around was not pleasant. With my previous order I asked for longer gray coverage. I believe they did try to formulate a color this time to provide longer gray coverage. This color formula failed for me because it gummed up in my hair once I started the final rinsing. I believe this may have happen because there was too much of a synthetic binder trying to achieve the longer gray coverage, which also left a mess and made clean up more difficult. my hair is not as red as my store bought hair color aSadly my hair is not even close to the RED color it was with my store bought hair color. And everyone asks why I am changing my hair color to more or a brown color after all these years. I so wanted this to work for me as I heard such wonderful reviews. Not for me...I questioned the color choice when setting up profile. Told them the color I previously used was dark brown. Emailed e-salon about my concern that the color would be too dark. It took me until today to get the nerve up to even do a strand test. As I said, this color is way too dark and Mahogany color. Not satisfied with my color...My intentions were to get my natural all over color done before my I went to get my haircut/hilights and low lights with my stylist. To save money and time at the salon I wanted to do my roots at home as I have a lot of gray and my hair grows quickly. I requested dark brown but my end result was definitely BLACK. I emailed to request a change but was told I could not go lighter....I spent hours in my local salon getting the color lighter. not as expectedI requested the color on the rest of my color to be darker, more similar to my roots, but still got a very light color on the rest of my hair. It looks like I didn't dye my hair. I am not sure if it was color or the shampoo/conditioning that left my hair dull and greasy. Not very happy since the first time, but wanted to give it a shot the second time. Awful!!! I need a refund for two months!!The first time I used e salon it was great. The second time I used e salon it turned my hair a pink red! I was so upset, I made an appointment at a reputable salon in Houston. It was a 5 HR appointment during which they scrubbed my hair so they did not have to strip it and damage it anymore than it was already damaged. I had to go to a MUCH darker color and it cost me around 300.00. It has taken me almost a month to get over the frustration and anger. I received my Oct color pack the other day and it reminded me to let you know how absolutely awful your product is! I will not be using it again, I will not be recommending it to anyone and I am very, very disturbed and wanted to let you know how much grief it has caused me. Not What I ExpectedThis was a great idea, but it wasn't as good as everybody says it is. First off, the dye doesn't rinse out very well, the shampoo wasn't shampoo, and the conditioner doesn't condition your hair. Second, after rinsing, shampooing, and conditioning, my hair felt very damaged and stringy. I had to do a deep condition over night and then re-shampoo (to remove the rest of the dye) and condition my hair the next day and it still felt stringy. Third, the color wasn't what I wanted. Color Off, Strong Scent, Fried endsI was really hopefully for this product to be something I loved. But it was disappointing to say the least. Color was pretty much brown, not a red/copper variation. The smell was so strong, it was difficult to apply between holding my breath and my eyes burning. Does not cover grayI put in my profile that I need to cover gray, yet was provided the demi-permanent color. When I said it only covered for a week (two washes) I was told I should be using the permanent to cover gray. Great color, problems with resistant grayI left it in the length of time recommended. Color seems to fade from gray or white hair faster. Maybe I should've done all over color since the formula was changed to solve the resistant gray coverage. Has hints of red and fades to redThis "custom" color is like all of the other medium brown hair colors I have tried. It has undertones of red (which I'm trying to avoid) and fades to red in the sun or after a few weeks. It is the most drying hair color I have ever used. A little too redThe first application of the custom color turned out ok. It was a little darker and more on the redder side than I prefer, but it looked ok. This last time I followed the instructions exactly and my roots are redder and lighter than the rest of my hair and it looks awful! I'll be wearing my hair up for a while until it's safe to try and color them again and now I'm going to have to go to a salon to fix this mess! No better or worse than the product I usually buy over the counterI was expecting something far superior to the product I normally use, however this product is no different. What I didn't like was the smell and also it was virtually impossible to rinse out the shampoo and conditioner. It left my hair looking and feeling like straw and I eventually re-shampooed & conditioned my hair using my own products. The colour was quite nice though. UnhappyI am not pleased with this product at all! Within a couple of days, my hair started turning a rustic brown around my face and temples. I have never experienced this before when I have used store brand colors, or when I had it done professionally. Thank you, but no thank you!! Wasn't the color I wantedI don't what went wrong but it was a lot darker then then light blonde. Maybe they read light brown because that's the color I ended up with. Otherwise, my hair was more health and shiny. Was happy with that. Now I'm turning gray and decided to try once again to give this a go. Great product for the cost!I received my custom color in the mail today and followed the directions to touch up my roots. My last color was at a salon and this color blended perfectly! The only negative I can say is that it did not color the gray along my hairline (by the ears and nape of the neck) as well as I would have liked. 2nd Time Aroundfound time to apply my color after receiving it weeks ago. This is my second time using color from eSalon and I'm still not satisfied. I follow the instructions closely with the exception of a few minutes due to having long thick hair. After I was done washing/ rinsing out the color it feels sticky and strands clump together. Latest root color was too orange!I know we lightened the root coverage, but now am thinking it has to go darker again. Maybe back to the original. I am very dissappointed.My hair was blond with dark roots and many grays in my roots. I chose a copper color that was vibrant and bright, and I somehow ended up with a dull dark auburn that never fully covered my gray's and is a very flat and dull color. Not HappyColor may have worked well if I had not had to wash my hair 3 times to get all the oil out of it after I colored. What on earth was in it to do that. My hair felt weighted down and the shampoo you provided (& that I bought a bottle of) didn't do a thing to get the grease out after two shampoos. Had to use my Nexium shampoo the 3rd time to feel like my hair was clean. By that time, grey was showing around my hairline. ExpectationsHello, I'm writing this to review my first use of the color i ordered. I didn't expect a huge difference because my hair is already black with very little brown tones. I wanted a more blue tint. The color that was sent was soft black with blue. I tried one bottle, an there was no significant change. It did make my hair shiny though. I really wanted the blue tint to be more prominent. I have watched youtube videos of young ladies with the desired color i want. Not satisfiedSure the hair color left my hair softer and shiny than box, but my whole purpose is to not have to dye my hair as often. ColorColor didn't cover grays completely this time it was disappointing. This was the 3rd order I have I believe and all of them have been great as far as the end result except this last one. COLOR DIDN'T LASTI PURCHASED THIS PRODUCT ON 8-26-2016, GOT THE COLOR DAYS LATER AND TRIED IT. THE COLOR DID NOT LAST AT ALL I STARTED SEEING HINTS OF GRAY AFTER 2.5 WEEKS (TODAY IS 9-30-26), AND COLOR WAS SUPPOSE TO LAST WAY LONGER.
