Aweful!I was so excited to get this color but the first time I tried it my hair turned GREEN!! Only on the ends but I hated it. I ended up using oops to take it out. Then I thought I would give it another try and this time my hair turned ORANGE. I wanted it blonde and it is an ugly orange color. Not colour I expectedI was really keen to try this new colour but very disappointed, it was meant to be a red mahogany colour, it's more burgundy. I did exactly what the instructions said, been left with lighter bits where grey comes in don't think it's any better than the regular home colour I normally buy at less cost. No good for relaxed hairWhen I bought this product I explained that I relaxed my hair. I even wait till Monday to ask if it was OK to use it with all the peroxide that was included in the box. My hair is long and since I use the color, my hair started to break and tangle. I don't want to use this color anymore, please don't ship it anymore. Too much goldThis was a top quality product. My hair feels great and it was professional quality color--great for grays and matching new roots!! I would give it 5 stars for the right color. However, it was listed as "cool beige" and I assumed there would not as much red tint in it. I did see the pre-mix said "gold" as an ingredient, but I assumed because it was a teeny-tiny amount compared to the ash and blonde, and since this was a professional service listing the color as "cool", that it would still turn out as a cool blonde and not bronzy. The color gave me a very bronze tint in my hair like box dyes too. Something was not right from the start.When I shampooed out the product the rinse water had a massive amount of scummy frothy soap/dye? I was happy with the color and texture at the beginning, but by the time the first auto-reorder came up I now have dry brittle hair that has been falling out continuously. Luckily I have thick wavy hair to begin with, but not even my argon oil treatments and complete avoidance of heat styling tools, elastics, pins, etc has stopped the daily hair loss. Did not turn out rightI got a custom made color because i wanted to go light blonde. I sent pics of my hair and made notes saying that my hair tebds to turn brassy . Im not surprised with my luck lately of coyrse my gahr didnt turn out right. Its brassy n much much darker than i wanted. Color lovely but does not lastI have now tried 3 rounds of eSalon color. My color formulation has changed several times to try to get it right. While I appreciate the flexibility of the eSalon team, my color just never landed in the right zone. On the one occasion that I really liked the color, it faded within 3 weeks, starting to fade after the first wash. The color was supposed to be permanent and I used the Heart Lock It shampoo and conditioner. Difficulty with hair colorI had such a hard time washing out the color. I used the shampoo and conditioner and it still feels greasy. When it dried, I had a gray streak on my front right side and i have never had gray and other colors showed up. It did not turn the color i expected it to be. I got the lightest blonde and it turned ash blonde which i really do not care for. One time i used garnier hair color, it turned ash blonde also. I would like to give it another try to see if it was just a faulty hair color or i was sent the wrong one. I usually get a much lighter color when i use one from the drugstore, that's why i was thinking maybe I was sent the wrong one. Like i said, I would give it one more chance but I don't want to take much more of a chance for something bad to happen to my hair. I like the shampoo and conditioner and would definitely buy more. No gray coverageHello, my most recent formula did not cover my gray at all. I have dark brown hair and it made my gray which is prevalent at my temples and on top of my head wear it parts, golden. DisappointedI hate to say but I was so excited to be a part of this awesome idea however I was left very dissatisfied. First, for some reason it took 10 days to get the products from the date I ordered them. Second, despite uploading several pics, the formulated color ended up looking a pinkish red. It was so bad that I had to buy over the counter color to cover it up. So, I had to spend more money and time, not to mention damage to my hair... ColorI found the color to be way to dark for my hair. I have previously colored my hair and indicated as such when signing up. Had to lighten my hair it was so dark. By the time I colored my hair, the next order was on it's way and couldn't be stopped, I now have a box of $25 color I hate. If this is your first order, don't do auto-deliver until you get a color you like or you'll be stuck! Hair color way too darkI could not get a response from the support team to correct my color so I had to change my product and go back to what I previously have used with much success. Very disappointed in their lack of assistance. You can change the color without ordering sight in seen the new color they have selected for you. 3rd time not charmI gave e salon 3 chances with pictures and feed back and they never could get rhe color right. Now i am left with discolored hair that i am going to have to have professionally colored to fix it. What i thought would be my answer cost me not only 60+ for 3 colors, but another $175 on a professional coloring and whatever the expensive shampoo and conditioner costs that i'll have to use on hair that will be damaged by lightening the sides (after expessly stating that i can't use ash colors they sent me a light brown with ash or green base that turned my sides black). Burned scalpColored hair with reccommended product. Third time using esalon color. This time, developer and color began a burning sensation almost immediately after applying. Could not leave it on for the reccommended 30 minutes per instructions. Rinsed out after 15 minutes. Now I have scabs and dry dead skin throughout my scalp. Very upset. Awful, just awfulBesides giving the visible parts of my hair unintended horizontal stripes of strawberry blonde, dark brown and mahogany, I have no idea what the back of my hair looks like. The smell while mixing was so strong and unpleasant that I could hardly breathe. It got much better after 5 minutes, and was gone by the time my hair was dry. I dyed it 5 days ago, washed it twice since, and it is falling out already. I'm going to a professional salon this weekend to get a correction...because they can see what they're doing even at the back, and they're trained in this.
