Not the color I asked forI asked for a shade or 2 darker for my highlight to blend in with my roots, and the color came out SUPER dark. I went from a super blonde to super brunette, with the ends looking almost black. The box says it was warm beige, but don’t think that was the case. Not expected colourHiya. Although my hair looks fresher, it is a darkish brown colour with a copper tinge. I was expecting a bright red copper given my most recent request. Didn't lastThe color came out quite a bit darker than the usual box color I use but, the coverage was really good. My hair was shiny and felt really nice. However, less then two weeks later my greys were back, and it looked like I hadn't colored my hair in quite sometime. Not good for gray coverageI’m on my third different attempt with this company to get the color right and cover my grays. I follow directs, leave it on the exact amount of time and it still doesn’t cover my gray hair. Extreme Enttäuschung! Genau das Gegenteil von dem was ich wollte!Ich habe sehr gehofft, dass diese (angeblich) individuell an die Bedürfnisse angepasste Farbe etwas für mich sein könnte, leider was es eine absolute Enttäuschung! Ich habe zuvor umfassend die Beschaffenheit meiner Haare und dass ich von Natur aus rote Pigmente in den Haaren habe beschrieben, dass ich auf keinen Fall den Rot-Stich verstärken will und deswegen einen sehr aschigen und neutralisierenden Ton brauche. Auch ein Foto hatte ich mitgeschickt. Ich habe genau die Anweisungen befolgt. Das Ergebnis war zu dunkel und ein deutlicher Rotstich (der nach einigem Waschen auch noch orange wurde!) war sichtbar! Davon abgesehen wurden graue Haare überhaupt nicht abgedeckt (und ich habe nicht einmal besonders viele davon)! Die Farbe ist Schrott und die Beratung mangelhaft. Das Geld absolut nicht wert! No 2nd pair of glovesIn my last order there was only one set of gloves. How in the world would you think one pair of gloves is sufficient? After they are covered in dye then I have to carefully try and remove them so I can put on the same dye covered pair for the shower. Now they are covered in dye and my shower curtain and everything I touch getting into the shower is also covered in dye. DisappointedI really wanted to love your product, but my first order made my hair to dark and brassy instead of getting the brown ash tones so I adjusted my color, going with the colorists recommendation and now my hair is even darker and such strong reds and brassiness that I just want to cry! It's going to take a whole lot of fixing to try and tone this huge mistake down! Again, I wish I could have loved your product and become a regular customer! Color didn’t really takeI was very sad about my first use. My color didn’t take very well. It’s a slightly darker shade so there’s some difference, but just not much. And the roots color seems to clearly be different from the ends with very little blending. And it’s funny because my stylist had at first emailed me to say that this was significantly darker than my current shade and they recommend a gradual darkening since it’s harder to lighten and they don’t want it to come out too dark. Terrible customer serviceCustomer service is a joke. eSalon sent me the wrong color and refuses to do anything about it. They offered to send me a free kit when I went to turn off my plan but I can no longer trust them because they sent me the wrong color. It was red-toned when I've been using ash-tone for the last year. There is no recourse if you have a problem. Color way too dark!I created the profile & provided a current picture. A colorist did not contact me for any further clarification. However, the color provided for my roots only was way too dark. There is an obvious separation between the color applied to my roots and my remaining hair, it does not blend at all. This is horrifying to someone who has only had their hair professionally done & does not know how to remedy this situation. Not very likely to reorder nor refer to anyone. Also, I placed the original order on July 7th; and received an email indicating the label had been created along with the tracking information. I checked a number of times on the status, but the tracker indicated the package had not been received. I contacted eSalon on 7/16 with this information & they processed a replacement order. On 7/17, the original order was provided to USPS; and on 7/18 the replacement order was placed with USPS. SAVE YOUR HAIR - don’t use this!!A truly awful experience. I was sent two colors - brown for my roots and bright, clown red for the rest. The result was horrific and I had to go to a salon to have it fixed. When I called customer care, she casually said “we can’t color roots red, so brown is the closest you’ll get without going to a salon and having it done.” Would’ve been great information for them to share before sending me this product. no brushI'm happy with the color. The first time I ordered this product there was a brush for application. The second time, there was no brush and it doesn't appear to be a mistake as the list of items provided does not include "brush". It is very hard to apply without a brush and after getting all set up I didn't want to go out to the store to get one. Not for meTo be completely fair, I did not give them a chance to adjust the color. After two roots touch ups my hair started looking brassy (I have mostly whitish gray ashy blonde hair, going for blonde). My stylist is seeing clients again (after the COVID shutdown) and I prefer to have someone hands-on adjusting my color. This was a lot more reasonably priced than she is, and convenient to have shipped to me. Not impressedI have been using esalon for quite awhile now. Until the June/July order - all was good. The new creamier mix is nice that it is not so sloppy, but it does not last. I colored my hair on July 15th and it has already washed out. The color has faded and the gray is back. I noticed right after coloring my hair that I did not need to use the wipe to remove color from my skin that had been touched, it had all washed off. Very unusual. Hopefully you get this issue fixed. This did not turn out as I had hopedI have colored my hair many times at home, using L'Oreal products with success. I had high hopes for eSalon. The directions were not hard to follow. I asked for ash blonde, and I got golden blonde with sort of weird red undertones. There was very little ash in the formula that they sent. So disappointedI am just so disappointed! My friend and I followed the directions exactly. The color was all wrong! It came out spotty and faded. BRIGHT clown red in some areas- a pinkish brown in others and then no change in others. The color variations are ridiculous. I am wondering how to fix this? Get a clarifying shampoo? I have another package coming and wonder how I’m going to deal with this. I was so excited to give my hair a boost- picked out the color after a few friends helped, I took this process serious and watched the tutorials, asked my stylist friends for advice, bought the alligator clips to make sure I did it just right. I thought the mixes looked a bit off and didn’t get the combos- but since you’re “professionals” I trusted you. Never will I do this again! Won’t recommend. Nice ConceptLet me begin by saying that it was definitely the nicest at home color that I've used. My hair feels healthy and the color didn't have any adverse reactions on my scalp. With that said; the color didn't turn out as expected. I received a root color and an ends color and I followed the instructions (which are very helpful!) but the root color was darker than expected and didn't cover the few grey hairs that I have and the rest of the hair color didn't really do much of anything for the rest of my hair. Not custom. Better off doing research and going to supplier.I decided to try this service because I thought it would be better to have an “ expert” formulate a product that would be able to do what I needed rather than doing the work myself and taking a chance. I wanted a glaze that would freshen up my highlights and maybe blend some grays until I could get back to a salon. I received a “ light blonde “ Demi permenant color with “ 15 vol” developer. It was ok. The color was shiny. It darkened my highlights to a goldy yellow. I noted my natural roots looked slightly orange. When it came time for my next order I reported that my color was to gold and my roots had an orange tone. I asked for something to touch up my roots and maybe a glaze for the mids and ends. I received a reformulated product this time with “a tiny bit of ash to counter brass” I applied and my roots were now bright orange and my hair was a dark yellow. I shared my concerns with the service and at first was told I must have asked for the wrong product. When I explained to them that they were supposed to be the expert they changed their tune and offered to send me more product if I wanted to purchase it!!! I politely declined. They also told me they were not able to provide root touch up and glaze like a salon could. I had no interest in Spending more money on a service that did not work the first 2 x. I have since done the research and it seems the 15 vol developer was way to strong for what I needed the product to do which was deposit only and it lifted my roots a few levels. Also I’m not sure if the color had amonia which can also lift your color. So all I really needed to do was go to a beauty supply store and spend 6$. Not my color!The first time I did my color with esalon, it came out perfect and now this time it is brown not Auburn. I am going to have to go buy a box of nice and easy to correct my color and not real sure how I’m going to be able to get my other color back! Not my color and patchyI was very excited to try my color but am unfortunately quite disappointed in the results. The color is patchy and I was hoping for a bright copper but this isn’t it. Additionally, there are pink streaks throughout my hair. I am updating my review as eSalon was kind enough to send me another color. Despite their great customer service I am really disappointed in the results. My hair turned out pink...again and is completely damaged. Natural redhead- no change in colorI was really excited to try this product out. Unfortunately it did not work. :( I am a natural redhead with no previous color added to my hair. I purchased a medium blonde color. I did a strand test to see how it would turn out. I applied the mixed color according to the directions provided and waited 30 minutes. When I checked my strand after the allotted time there was no change to my color. I waited an additional 15 minutes and used my hairdryer on the low setting to apply heat. After 45 minutes I rinsed the dye from my test strand. After drying my hair there was no notice difference in my hair color. Medium/Dark blondeThis was my first time purchasing through this platform. I typically have golden blonde mixed in with medium blonde. For some reason the team decided to send me a color that gave an allover dark blonde color. I am not thrilled at all. And it did not totally cover the grey. Color Did not color my graysColor Did not color my grays and customer service did not contact me back. This is the worst experience ever! Madison Reed sent my mother an email a week after she colored. She had a minor issue with her color being too dark and they immediately sent her a replacement and told her how to clarify her scalp to prep it for the updated color. Esalon did not do a thing for me even after I wrote to the colorist and I called them. So me thing has changedI have used this product in the past and it worked well... nice color, covered greys, easy enough to use. This is not the same as it use to be. Far from the colour I requestedI was not happy with the colour. It was way too dark, it’s not a light ashy brown but dark and very much on the warm side than being ashy. The customer service is amazing however the products are not. None of the hair dyes performed well, didn’t do any better than the drug store ones, so not worth the money.
