A Huge LetdownColor looks nothing like I expected. I was going for a golden brown and my hair turned out looking more like dark reddish brunette. The red is the most disappointing part as this is not what I wanted at all. I answered all questions and filled out my profile accordingly, even sent pictures, and the colorist did not even get close. To recap: not even close to the color I requested, it's already fading, and crappy gray coverage. Mine is already starting to come back through and it's been less than a week since I applied the color. Not what I wanted at all...This did nothing for my hair...I followed the instructions step by step, and I ended up with my roots pretty much brown/black and the rest of my hair a bit more lighter than what I had just with a reddish tint to it.So now I have to dye it a darker color to make it even all over. No better than box color and hard to get out of hairI'm no stranger to box color, and I was hoping this would be sort of a compromise between box color and salon color, but it was very much just your typical box color in a fancy box (and more than twice the price). The color came in a nice package with my name on the instructions saying it was specially formulated for me. But honestly, I couldn't help but feel like I paid $20 for box color with my name on it. There was nothing special about the process of application or the color itself. And it took FOREVER to wash out of my hair. I mean at least 20 minutes. I finally got it all out and washed/dryed my hair and I still feel like there's some in there! I like the idea of eSalon, and I reallllllly wanted to like this, but it's not worth the price. Unless you're brand new to box color and have no clue what color to get-- just go to the drugstore and pick it out yourself. Just okay.This replaced a natural hair color I've been using for years. The color was adequate but after a reformulation it still wasn't was I was looking for. Plus this product gives my hair a very odd texture which the other product didn't. The over packaging is also a bit much. what a disappointmentthe last shipment was complete disappointment. Salon has decided for me that roots will be enough, and sent only one colour, so I got brown instead of the red tone. I learned to mix both (root & ends) tones together to get the right tone, and now I have just brown. I can understand you do not want to send 2 bottles (though i assumed that was your offer), i am fine with that. but i find it unacceptable to decide for me what colour my hair should be, particularly because it is not what i was looking for. PassLet me start out by saying that I have gotten my hair bleached and dyed for many years, so I don't have a sensitive scalp. I even did the standard test patch on the inside of my arm to test for a reaction, that gave me no reaction. HOWEVER, when it put this on my scalp to do my roots... it burned. It didn't subside either, it got worse and worse. I could only stand it for 5 minutes before I had to wash this off my hair. It left my scalp riddled with chemical burns . I had such high hopes!I tried this out and found it more difficult to use than a standard box of Clairol or L'Oréal from the store. The color my hair turned is probably the most disappointing part! They sent two separate colors and I don't understand why. I followed the directions exactly and now my hair is two different colors . I was hesitant seeing two formulas. Who would want uneven color? I like the idea of all of this, but the color needs to be easier than a box kit from the store! And the color needs to perform better for an average at home user. Product review.Was much darker than i expected, Could not notice any gold in the color, just black. Gray coverage was good. I have been adding developer to shampoo every day & washing it to get it a tad lighter. I hope this is not an automatic thing and i am billed even if i do not re-order it. Very disappointed..The packaging was super cute, but that's where it ends. Washing the color kit made my hair sticky with a thick film and NOT washing out. It was a nightmare. It literally took me an hour to wash it out and I had to use dawn dish soap to get it all out. Light brown hair this turned it BLACK!!!So for a bit ,this was a great product ,the past 2 have turned my hair almost jet black yet said light brown . Now can't figure out how to get it back to the right color without a professional job . If you can't get it right empty it and start again. Not for meI had to dye my roots and my ends with two bottles I am used to using one bottle for everything. The color was too red. Beware - if you leave something in your cart you will be charged!My first order I found it to be okay. For myself, it didn't seem much better than the drug store version. My second order the order process was difficult because my internet was so slow. But, I decided to try it again, since it had been 9 months since I did try it. I went thru the process and afterward, I decided against it. I didn't hit submit but just closed the site. A few days later I get an email telling me my credit card didn't work. ( We had gotten a new one because some one hacked into our account.) So I just ignored the email. Then the box came. I called right away and spoke with a woman who was not very compassionate. She accused me of hitting submit and because I was in regular order, they somehow were able to get my new credit card number. First UseI received my first order and was very excited to get started. I loved the fact that I did not have to spend a lot of time waiting in a salon and the expense of salons. Although I am still excited about this product, my first experience did not turn out so well. I wanted to go back to my natural color of blonde and it turned out to be strawberry blonde, which is a pretty color, but not at all the color for me. The product did make my hair shiny and soft. Also it made my hair Fall Out, IM SOO UPSET! using it was a big mess that felt like glue in my hair! They don't even give you any keratin or some special conditioners! I want a full refund!!! Not the right thing for meI wanted to go blonder, but the process of doing so via eSalon wouldn't be quick enough, meaning I decided to visit a salon for all-over highlights instead. Not good at coloring greys at all!!!I will not be purchasing this hair color ever again. It did not cover my greys like it promised and the color was completely wrong. I asked for coppery red but it came out a weird brown with a hint of a reddish tone. It looked really bad. I will not be wasting my money on this again. Great color but...My friend followed the directions to the letter but the roots ended up a lot darker than the previously colored ends. Aside from the visible line between the dyed and undyed part, the color was amazing. DoneI have been using E-Salon for years, but no more! The quality of the dye has gone down hill. I used to get a beautiful red color that would last for weeks. Super harsh on long hairI love the custom color, but the color is very hard on long hair. There is not enough shampoo or conditioner to adequately use with long hair either. HATE THE COLOR!I tried this for the first time in March. The color was much darker than I would have liked, so I canceled. I then received an email stating the next round was on the way. I called to cancel and told the customer service agent that the color was too dark. She suggested I try it again and I did. What a disappointment the second color was darker than the first. Was a perfect darkness and tone, for a week or so, but faded quicklyI dyed less than a month ago, maybe three weeks ago. And the colour was super beautiful and rich after dyeing, but now its faded to a lighter dark brown, with orange-y warm tones, which I hate, when I requested a neutral VERY dark brown colour. I think that's an unreasonable time for a permanent colour to fade, espcially when I don't wash every day and I avoid heat and use colour safe products only. Not the color I wantedI really liked how the color covered my grays and was easy to apply, but I did not like how the color turned out. I was recommended dark blonde and I specified that I would like it to not have any red tones in it. When I put in on it was very red. I contacted them and told them about the color. The colorist told me that they have formulated a different color that will reduce the brassiness and recommended trying their blonde neutralizer. Custom hair dyeI was so excited to try this product after seeing loads of positive reviews online! I have given this 1 star because 1. The inside packaging was ok 1. You can't give 0 star rating. I actually started choking when opening the small bottle of colour. It smells REALLY strong of chemicals! This product needs to come with a warning for asthmatics!! Secondly, the product is extremely runny so best to wrap a towel around your shoulders AND sit on a whole load of towels!! The products will run down your neck, shoulders and back whilst it's developing too! I had hoped the product would redeem itself once washed out and my hair blow dried buuuuut..........NO! It almost completely washed out of my hair leaving just some patches at the roots slightly tinged a gingery purple!!!! :O it didn't even properly cover my greys except for turning a few of them a proper bright ginger/strawberry blonde!! I would like to point out though that this was MY experience!! In tears at horrendous colorfor years i felt if you wanted red it had to come from a salon. After a year of pushing from my cousin, I tried your sight. I even spent money on shampoo, root color etc. My roots where exact color on my natural color. I was promised a red copper. This looks NOTHING like the promise. I am a dark, UGLY brunette. paid to get exact same color I hadWas supposed to see a change in my hair from my natural hair color and ended up with no result. Exact same hair color as my natural hair color. It's as if I did nothing to my hair..not sure if the colorist gave me a bad color or the colorist should have gone a shade lighter.
