Too dark, not enough red.This is the same problem I have with going to salons for coloring. I can say exactly what color I use and what works, but I'm second-guessed on my color. It then comes out far too dark with not enough red. It's either mixed wrong or the wrong developer is used and I'm stuck with a darker color for several weeks until I can do it again. Not good enoughI’ve had some problems with my colour and the lovely staff at esalon have tried to resolve them but it’s not been good enough. I wasn’t going to write a negative review but they keep emailing me asking me to review, so I will. The first colour was great but it burned a bit on my scalp. After I said I wanted to lighten up my colour they said they couldn’t help me but could provide me with a lighter colour for my roots to blend out the darker colour. I was skeptical as to whether this would work as my roots are only a bit lighter than my colour anyway but they offered to send a root retouch for free so I agreed. It didn’t make a lot of difference to my colour and the burning sensation was worse so I got in touch to let them know. They switched my colour to demi-permanent and I paid £20 with delivery for the next root kit. This is very expensive for what you get but I felt beholden to them as I had gotten the free one last time. The demi-permanent colour had no effect, my natural roots didn’t soak up the colour at all. The instructions were confusing too as it said not to put any of the colour on my ends or they would go darker, but also to put the remaining colour on my ends near the end of the processing time! After the failed colour, I bought a box of nice and easy for less than a fiver and it did the job nicely with no side effects. I’d say if you want the same colour every time this might be a good service for you, but be careful if you are sensitive (I’ve never experienced a reaction to hair dye before!) 0 de 0 personas encontraron este comentario útil. ¿Y tú? |

Not what I expectedAfter reading so many great reviews, I decided to buy this product. First of all it is not easy to put the colour on your hair, then the smell of ammonia is quite strong, usually it isn't because my hair are dark and I use a dark colour. The colour itself seems right, slightly darker than what I wanted but fine. The biggest problem was to get it off my head. A nightmare! I used so much shampoo but still I could feel the product on my scalps. After drying my hair, I could still notice something gummy in my fingernail. You might end up with an expensive color correction at SalonI asked for Dark Blond. Color faded to frizzy orange in 6 weeks, using Matrix color safe shampoo system. Tried again, similar results. Third time, I asked them to neutralize the red. Color was Neutral Dark Blonde for a week, but faded to reddish dark blond. Going more and more reddish. Apparently the most expensive color to color correct for at the salon. Can't tweet the color enough for me. Poor coverageI have seen eSalon on numerous social media profiles and they always seem to have positive feedback, so I thought that I would give them a try. I was extremely disappointed with the results. I followed every step of their ordering process, even sending them "before" picture of my hair so that they could help me with my color selection. I received my kit in the mail in a timely manner and was excited to see my results. The instructions were clearly explained, although the process was much messier than other hair dyes I have used in the past. I applied the color and timed every step as directed. Once completed, I was disappointed to discover that their color did not cover my greys! Upon my very next hair washing (with color-safe shampoo, I might add) the remaining color washed out. DisappointedPretty color, not worth it. Dyed it a month ago and to this day, I see color washing out every time I shampoo - even with expensive, sulfate-free, color protecting products. Awful and impossible to wash outThe process of dying the hair was OK but trying to wash it out was pretty much impossible, it left my hair tangled and made it feel like I had oatmeal mixed with glue in my hair for weeks, it looked horribly oily and unwashed no matter what shampoo I tried or how much I shampooed it. Anyone who touched my hair commented on how weird it felt for about two weeks after I used this product. Never againI am delayed in writing this review because I was just getting on line to cancel my association with your company before you send me any more hair coloring. I have been getting my coloring from you for over two years and have even used you to put high lights in. However, the last batch of coloring you sent me nearly ruined my hair. I could not rinse the coloring out. I follow instructions to the letter. However, when the water hit my colored hair my hair bunched up into greasy dread locks. I rinsed until the water ran cold and the shampoo did not lather up and did not break up the clumps of dread locks. I finally just shampooed my hair 3 times with bed head until I got the color out. Then I gave it 3 days rest and put swimmer shampoo in my hair and set in a steam room then washed my hair and conditioned and conditioned. I have not died my hair again since February but it is still very dry and it is a good thing I have a lot of it because I am still loosing a lot of hair with every shampoo. It is past time to get my hair done again and I will have to go to a professional to have that done because now my hair has a different texture to it. No changeMy hair shade is medium brown and the shade I ordered was a medium ash brown. I knew my color wouldn’t drastically change, but my hair is the exact same color as before. I did a strand test and my color never changed. Worse at home kit I've ever tried!This is literally the worst at home kit I've tried. I wouldn't have minded the mess and hassle it took to do all the bloody steps but then to not even get colour pay off anywhere near the colour I selected from the available options. Better off sticking to the drugstore box dyes! I'm so disappointed and to top it all off my hair didn't even smell nice at the end like other at home kits! Bad colorI had light brown hair, sent a picture for light brown, and got a color that made my hair at least two shades darker. I wrote and asked if it could be replaced with a color I liked before, but never got a response. I don't think I'll order again. In addition I've now washed it three times with esalon color safe products and the color's washing out really uneaven. I'm thinking I'm not going to order again. TerribleI followed the instructions to a ‘T’. However, my hair was left thick and mat-like afterwards; it wouldn’t dry. The colour did not take at the roots. Color too dark but hair felt healthyThe color came out too dark. I would recommend if you are already coloring your hair to let the colorist know what you have been using and send a picture of your hair color that you prefer. Mine came out too dark because I said that my natural color is medium brown (which it is, but I color my hair light/med copper). So disappointed!Im so disappointed in my hair color this shipment. I received one bottle of developer and one bottle of color, expecting it to be the same color as the last shipment I followed the directions accordingly. I now have a weird ombré color: darker roots & my ends did not take any color whatsoever. gray hair coverageAfter a week of using the product, the gray hairs at my roots were almost completely visible again. I have had better and longer lasting coverage from Madison Reed, professional colorists, and even drug store products that were 1/3 of the price. I followed the directions to the letter and use color safe shampoo/conditioner (every other day). I will give eSalon products one more try but if I experience such a poor performance again, I will cancel all future orders. I see my next shipment is not until next week. I have so much gray coming through on my roots I may have to buy a box color just to get through the next couple of weeks. Not the color I was expectingWhile convienent and easy to apply, I was expecting a lighter and brighter red color than I got. 100% Sorry I signed up. . .To start, I've never had a sensitive scalp. Never had issues with chemicals on my skin, even when I was 10 and my mom said a perm was "gonna look great!". When I applied my personalized Esalon color to my hair it seriously hurt. The burning sensation was ridiculous. And it's no wonder because the fumes coming from the product were beyond noxious even being in a well ventilated area of my home. I powered through the 1st bottle and wait time. And the same thing happened with the 2nd application and wait time. Got in the shower and "glossed" as recommended. When I rinsed the dye out I could literally feel by back burning from the product and my head felt like it was on fire. It legit felt like I had a million tiny cuts on my scalp and someone poured rubbing alcohol on my head. Severely unpleasant. Shampooed and condotioned. Combed through my hair and let it air dry. When it was pretty much dry I took a look at the color and my roots are currently bright carrot orange and the rest of my hair is my same normal brown with a purple tint. I'm absolutely unimpressed. The only pleasant thing about this experience was that I didn't spend alot on my first box (but I'm sure I'll make up for that when I go to the drugstore to remedy this disaster) and that the shipping time was super fast. To be clear--I never write bad reviews. I never write good reviews. I either like something or I don't and I'll either continue using a product or I won't. I'm not someone that complains. I let it go and move on. However, this situation has really taken me to the point where I feel like I need to say something. Overall, ladies and gentleman this was the most unpleasant experience I've ever had with in-home hair color. Such a waste of my time. Didn't get it right twiceI hadn't colored my hair for a long time and decided I wanted to make my medium brown hair and bit more vibrant. I was hoping it would have golden tones and indicated that. After my first coloring my hair seemed more auburn than golden and I was disappointed. eSalon apologized and said they would send me a corrected color free of charge. I just spent my night applying that color and instead of toning down the red it seems only to have enhanced it! I think I've had better luck using a box! It's not for everyone.Im a dye hard do it yourselfer and thought this was a genius idea!! The color did not turn out correctly though. I had orange roots and a weird color for the rest of my hair. I followed the instructions to a T and I was not happy. I didn't realize they would continue to send me the same hair color until I received a box in the mail just now, and was charged 25$. Looks to good to be true.I was super excited when I ordered. I had really done my research and felt I made a good choice. I think the questions they asked were good. But when I opened the bottles to mix the product it had really harsh chemical smell, which I read was less with this company. I liked everything in the box. Once I started coloring I realized that it was more brown than red. I specifically selected red, my natural hair is brown, but I was more on the red side. The directions said 15min wait time, however I know it takes my hair longer to take so I let it sit longer, by doubing my time. And when I was done coloring my hair was not red, but more Brown with a hint of red. So not very happy. Then I also noticed when washing my hair is was very slimy and clumpy to the touch. I have washed it 3x now and still it feels gross. I could have used a $3 box dye and have a better experience. I guess the reviews did pan out in my favor this time. Turned out reddish, not what I wantedNot what I was looking for. Color I ordered was light ash brown. After following directions, color turned out a light reddish brown, especially in the sun. Disappointing ResultsI was really excited to try this product but I was really unhappy with the results. I ordered soft black/blue to dye over brown roots and auburn dye. My roots and ends came out a decent black (no blue at all) but the middle 3 inches or so of all my hair was just a slightly darker red than it was already dyed. I've also been dyeing my hair on my own for about 25 years and have never ended up with the mess I got with this product. A little dark, needed time to try it twice,I liked the kit and all the supplies included, this helped as I did not need to buy more items. The specifically mixed color ended up being too dark for my preference, but its a chance to go a little opposite and darker brown. I did not use it correctly the first time. I have used it twice now and the instructions are a little different from other hair color brands. I did it better the 2nd time. Everything Was Awesome But the ColorI am so bummed I don't like the color - I really loved everything else about the kit that I received. So nice to have everything at my fingertips - including the gel and the wipe to help prevent/deal with staining, the directions were simple, everything was so quality. I even love the shine of the color, it's so lovely, but I just don't like the color itself. It doesn't seem to have tonality to me - it's a flat brown and I expected a more vibrant color - especially when it shines so wonderfully. Great color, bad directionsSince I have colored my hair before, the directions said to apply color to my roots only and add color to the rest in the shower for 2-3 minutes. This resulted in my roots being a different color from my ends. I contacted customer service and they sent me a complimentary shipment. Made no difference to my colourFollowed the instructions to the letter but it made no difference to my colour whatsoever. I was hoping for ashy brown (Ash Pearl) hair, but I still have dark roots with lighter/reddy ends. I've asked for another batch to see if leaving it on for longer makes a difference (the pack only allowed 15 minutes development time in total) and will update my review once I've heard back from customer service. Blimey - that's customer service - a phone call within 5 minutes and another free pack on the way! Terrible inconsistent color, stinky product, bad customer serviceThe color turned out a horrible bright orange and was all blotchy and the root coverage didn't even cover my roots. I saw nowhere that their guarantee was only good for 30 days, my first two emails were ignored and I was signed up for autoship which I did not want. On top of this it was a super huge pain to apply (much worse than any other home color I've used). DisappointedI ordered this and applied it as directed. The color was a runny mess. It kept running down my face as I applied it and got into my eye and burned. Not to mention the stains it left all over my face, neck and arms. It also ruined by bath rug as it was running faster than I could clean it up. Made a mess of my shower. I have never used a product that was so runny to use. My color came out very dark. Not what I thought it would be. I would appreciate a refund and maybe some information of what could have happened with this color. Thank you. **UPDATE: Esalon refunded my money and was so accommodating. Die sticks to scalpLooking to cancel my orders. I have tried this 3 times and each time the die sticks to my scalp. It's impossible to rinse out even when following your instructions closely. It is a gooey, clay like substance that I have to scrape out of my hair. It takes 3-4 washes after the dying wash to get this completely out and not looking greasy and unwashed. I mentioned this prior to my last order and did not get any additional information on this besides what is in the written instructions. When I look at my hair, I feel sad.......not the effect I was hoping for. This color looks NOTHING like the colors online. I ordered a warm blond, and my hair looks like mud except not as shiny. My faultThe first hair color in February was utterly perfect. But I was wanting a little more this and a little less that and they did exactly what I asked. This is the best hair color. Hair feels sticky after dyingIf followed instructions exactly iv had to wash my hair 3 times and it feels like a sticky residue is stuck in my hair. The water is running clear so don't think it's any left over dye. Can’t get rid of gunk even after 2 washesCan’t get rid of sticky gunk after dyeing. I washed shampoo multiple time to get rid of the gunk right after dyeing, but still left with sticky stuff and color started to fade away faster due to excessive shampooing. Not for my hairI followed the directions exactly the way they were given. And as a result, my hair is fried. I do not want this product. It is not for my hair. My hair was in a healthy state before using this product. My hair dresser is so upset with me. Please cancel my account. All future orders. I do not want to use this product ever again. I'm not saying this is a bad product, it just isn't for me. I called and left voicemail to cancel my order. I am at work and won't be able to answer my phone. I will try again when I go on break. hair colorThe first box was a pretty color at first however, it fried the ends of my hair ( had 2" cut off). I opted out of this eSalon program. Not happy at allDidn't cover my grey very well, is really dark for what was supposed to be dark blond- more like dark brown, and is very red considering I warned that that is an ongoing problem with other products and was assured it would be taken into account when making my special color kit.
