Not the desired colorI ordered a pearl mahogany color after I read a review recommending this product. While the instructions were easy to follow and the product was very gentle on my scalp (I usually have issues with dyes stinging and itching), my roots, which were quite prominent with my previous hair color, are the just as dark, while the dye is not nearly as red as advertised. Hat mich leider nicht überzeugtSehr schon verpackt mit personifiziertem Aufkleber auf der eigenen Farbflasche und einem hübschen Karton. Die Farbe war aber letztendlich nicht im entferntesten die auf dem Foto. Es war eher ein Feuerrot, das ich einen Tag ausgehalten habe und es dann überfärbt habe. Ich glaube es gibt vieles, was digital funktioniert. Aber eine Haaranalyse und Expertenberatung ist wohl eher schwierig. Die Farbe selbst riecht sehr chemisch. In meinem Fall war sie auch nicht sonderlich gleichmäßig obwohl ich mich strikt an die Anleitung gehalten habe. Hair too dark for the dyeI really wanted this to work. But unfortunately after following all the instructions I can't even see a tint of colour peeping through. Part of the problem as well was that the colour I chose was the lightest one that was available, as the colours lighter, which my hair probably needed, were unavailable to me. Did Not Cover GrayThe color itself was spot on and easy to use, unfortunately, it did not cover a fair amount of my gray. Very disappointed since I waited almost 2 weeks to receive this. Na jaAlso, ich muss sagen die Deckkraft war einfach Klasse. Es war nur nicht so geworden wie ich es wollte. Die Farbe war genau so wie die Farbe auf meinem Bild. Ich hatte aber ein leuchtende, mit Farbaktienten gewollte. Mehr ins Orang-Rote rein. Die Farbe war einfach langweilig. Sie sollte in die Richtung gehen wie das Irische Rot-Orange. Die Farbe hatte keinen Glanz, sie sah stumpf aus. Leider. Den von der Deckkraft war ich echt überzeugt. Und für das Geld hab ich etwas anderes erwartet. Not the right shade and no gray coverageI spent a lot of time adding pictures, explaining what I was looking for. None of this was taken into account for my “custom” blend and I’m almost positive the shade was just sent as is with no customization. When I stated that the color didn’t work for me (was not even close to the shade I asked for, gave me hot roots, and didn’t cover grays) I was basically met with insinuations that I was too old to get the shade I wanted, the colorist stating that the models in the photos I sent “didn’t look like they were also trying to cover grays”. I’m 34. Maybe this is a good solution if you want exactly the shades they have available, but if you are looking for customization or the kind of consultation/thought you’d get in the salon, look elsewhere. I’m just gonna try blending my own with products from Sally’s, little tip that maybe these “master colorists” could use: when blending yourself, use the percent of a natural color (i.e, brown) corresponding to the percent of gray hair you have. So, for me I have about 20% gray, so I’m planning on using 20% brown, the rest bright red (my desired shade). Good luck! UnsatisfactoryI have only just used the first colour package and am not happy with the result as the colour is very dark AND before I had time to contact you to cancel any more products being sent I received the second package! This is very upsetting as I tried to cancel any other packages but could only delay the delivery date as there was no way on your system of stopping further deliveries. Way too dark and not what I thought I was gettingMy previous hair color, a box color, was a medium auburn I liked and received many compliments on. The color in my eSalon kit, applied according to their instructions, is a solid dark brown which looks unnatural and is not what I ordered. I am very fair, have very pale eyes and had natural auburn hair, which suited my coloring, for the first two decades of my life. This color makes me look older than I am and is way too dark for my complexion. I am very unhappy with it and will not be ordering from them again. I bought this because I was told it does NOT have bad chemicalsI'm so bummed. I am breaking out like crazy. I looked for a product that would not have the PPD additives or any harsh chemicals. Madison Reed promised that I would love this product and I've done nothing but scratch my head, my neckline and its even effecting my eyes, ears, forehead--basically everywhere. The presentation of product is nice, I like the color, although I wanted dark ash brown--the blue black is tooooooooooooooo dark. I didn't even put all of the color on. Once you go black, black you cant do anything else. The color was too much and I'm breaking out like crazy. So Madison Reed lied. Not the color I wanted and expectedThe online experience was fine (up to a point, see below). The product was beautifully packaged. My hair felt good afterward - texture, coverage was good. But the color itself wasn't the rich, vibrant red I had wanted and expected. I think if I could have talked live with a colorist it would have been better. Tough greys?I was going fir a neutral light briwn. The salon team recommended I do a two step process with a gold filler first. Unfortunately this has left me with a very brassy light brown. Further it doesn’t cover my greys, just makes them brassy. It will wash out quickly . I’m frustrated as I either end up with very bleached white streaks when I get it professionally or I end up with a color that is not natural and very brassy when I do it myself. High hopes, sorrowfully disappointedI was really looking forward to this product. I was so happy when it came and couldn’t wait to try coloring my hair for the first time. It didn’t change my hair color at all. I followed all the instructions but after applying all over my head, waiting 30 minutes, blending, and washing everything out, and drying my hair, nothing happened. Same color before and after, absolutely no change. Very upsetting waste of time and I hope I can get my money back. Communication is poorMy first color for my roots was way too light, so now my roots are much lighter than my prior color which looks odd. I requested a darker color for my next order and emailed several questions. I do not know how much darker my color should be. Although the site says we can have a personal consult, I see no way to arrange this. I never received a confirmation of my order (but then found on the web site that it had been placed -- but I would prefer to discuss how dark the color should be and not experiment). I have never received a response to any of my questions and no one has contacted me. Last, I have very dry, curly hair and prefer to use my own products to shampoo and detangle. Go with a drugstore dye, will do betterI was thoroughly disappointed with the eSalon experience. Everything came in pretty packaging and had my hopes up. I followed the instructions to dye my hair immediately. The dye did turn a pretty auburn/purple, the color I expected. The smell was very strong, gave me a headache. After I was done and washed everything off, all the color washed off! After I dried my hair, there was no hint of "dark brown purple pearl" or whatever. If anything my brown hair was a lighter shade of brown, which is probably just damage from the chemicals. The color didn't stay but the odor did! I kept getting headaches every time I washed my hair and the smell would come out more pungently for the next few days! What's more frustrating is that even though I saw no change in color that I wanted, my pillowcases got stained and my entire bedset is now ruined! I wanted to do something fun with my hair while stuck in quarantine and instead of going with a generic drugstore brand, I tried to play it safe with eSalon. I ended up burning my hair, a three day headache, and stained sheets which costs hundreds of dollars! MehThe color was okay. The packaging was fancy and they did their best to impress me by sending 2 bottles with different peroxide volumes. Problem is that they got it totally backward. They wanted me to put the 15 volume on my roots and the 20 volume on the ends. How does that make any sense at all? Anything lower than 20 vol peroxide will not cover grey very well and having to mix 2 bottles is pointless and annoying. Then they turned around and auto charged me for more color 10 weeks later without checking with me. In normal times, okay, maybe, but THERE IS A PANDEMIC GOING ON. I need my money for rent not hair color and the ONLY way to cancel is to call during business hours. Product was damagedI was very eager to use this product because of the great reviews online. The box arrived damaged and color had leaked all over the instructions and my counter. It was unusable. I have sent 3 emails asking for replacement with no response. Got the job done but definitely not salon qualityMy hair is currently dried out and my roots are lighter than the middle of my hair but my ends are lighter than that, somehow. I have a bunch of shade differences that weren’t noticeable at first but have come to light as I’ve washed a few times. Did not diminish the red tone in my hairI had light blonde highlighted hair. My natural color is a light ash brown. I had dyed my hair brown and my hair pulled through red/copper tones. I used this kit in hopes that it would rid my hair of the “shiny penny” color. My Hair is tooooooooooo DarkI requested my hair to be lighter in the last order and it look lots darker, my hair is dark already I need my hair to look more red not dark. after I apply my color I wanted to cray because I haven't had this dark color in years :( :( I need my hair more RED not black. my hair doesn't look like the picture I send it looks almost black and I don't like it. Please CANCEL my subscription.While I love the color, I don't like the burning sensation on my scalp which occurs for days days after my color as well as I my skin peeled along my hairline and scalp this last time. There is something in your product that does not agree with me. The last time I called in and spoke to my color advisor, she told me not to put the dye on my scalp and to try to avoid it. Really?? This product is like waxI followed directions as specified. I jumped into the shower and start rinsing my hair and then my whole body is covered with something sticky/wax like. It was such a horrible experienced. I tried to wash it of my hair and it is still there...it took 45 min to remove it from my body. I ran out of hot water. Horrible, horrible...i want to cry. My body is still feels waxy and I wasn’t able to remove it from my hair. I can only image what this is doing to my shower drain. GreyThis color was perfectly matched and I loved it. However it did not cover my gray as well as a salon color or even drug store box color. Niemals wiederHabe alles nach Anweisung gemacht. Innerhalb der Einwirkzeit wurde das Haar extrem dunkel.... Oje dachte ich. Nach auswaschen und shamponieren alles ganz gut. Aber bereits beim trocknen sah ich extrem farbunterschiede von Ansatz und Resthaar.... Das geht gar nicht!!!! Bin total enttäuscht....
