Social Media Intern

eSalon is looking for a Social Media Intern to support the Social Media and Influencer Manager in ideation and asset creation for social media posts and campaigns. The Intern also assists in managing the social media calendar and the asset library. Both creative and executional, this role will help cultivate and engage the eSalon community and increase brand awareness.

Schedule: 20 hours / week. Flexible work schedule, Monday-Friday

Pay Rate: $15 / hour.

Responsibilities

Assist Social Media and Influencer Manager in creation of compelling social content for all of eSalon’s social channels.
Stay up-to-date on social media trends and emerging platforms.
Generate ideas for campaigns and posts.
Style and photograph products, before/after stills and videos; edit for channel-specific needs as necessary.
Assist in creating and managing the social media asset library.
Proof and fact-check post content.
Assist in managing and updating the social media calendar.
Assist with research and reporting for social media campaigns.
Maintain brand standards and storytelling guidelines across digital content and site.

Qualifications

Active on social media with familiarity and extensive experience in all major social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest.
Excellent photography, video and design skills.
Proficiency with Google Docs/Calendar and MS Office.
Writing, copy editing and proofreading skills.
Deadline-oriented.
Forward-thinker with the ability to work independently, thrive in a fast-paced environment and navigate ambiguity or uncertainty.
Dashboard/calendaring/measurement experience a plus.
Experience with Illustrator Final Cut Pro and PhotoShop preferred but not required.
