QA QC Technician

As an essential business, eSalon is open and thriving. We are practicing all safety measures to keep our team healthy, and we are looking for an experienced QA / QC Technician for the Swing Shift. The QA / QC Technician reports into eSalon's QA / QC Manager and will augment the quality control team and support additional Quality Assurance / Quality Control needs. You must be available to work Monday - Friday, 1:30PM - 10PM at our El Segundo, CA Facility.

Responsibilities

Perform QA / QC tests on third party haircare products and hair dye bulk batches.
Coordinate third-party testing as necessary. Review third-party test results.
Assist with stability protocols and raw material testing and validation.
Review and document batch entries for process verification.
Support lab with troubleshooting and report non-conformance to supervisor, assist with lab batching as needed.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with regard to testing quality and inspecting product.
Assist with root cause investigations involving customer complaints and nonconformances; implement corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
Follow all SOP’s, cGMPs, and other protocols as they pertain to Quality and Compounding.
Assist with Quality validation protocols and equipment calibration.
Maintain all equipment and work areas in a sanitary condition and promote safe work habits and working conditions. This includes but is not limited to: Dressing in proper PPE Cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, etc. per sanitation procedures. Maintaining a clean and orderly work area Housekeeping and sterilization of QA lab equipment and working surfaces

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ years working in a manufacturing environment with hands-on Quality Assurance.
Hands-on experience with basic laboratory instruments and tools i.e. pH meters, scales, mixers, pipettes, etc.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Precise attention to detail.
Data entry and computer skills, including Excel and Word.
Ability to operate and troubleshoot equipment.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities, scheduling, and laying out assigned work activities.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, checklists, forms and equipment instruction manuals that are written in English.
Strong safety record.
Familiarity with cGMP’s, safety procedures, sanitization, and personal protective equipment (PPE) is preferred but not required.
Must be able to work Swing Shift hours: 1:30pm-10:00pm.
