Such a strong ammonia smell!I was really excited when I received this kit, I loved all the personalisation and individual bottles. But upon opening the colours to I felt poisoned by the ridiculously intense ammonia smell that burnt my nose and it was therefore an unpleasant experience when applying on my hair. I like the resulting colour but it doesn’t appear to be very even so doesn’t seem worth the price and I’d rather go back to using a store bought one that at least isn’t going to stink out the place! 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Missing itemsI received my hair dye kit and was very surprised to not receive my whole kit. It is missing my shampoo and conditioner package and the stain remover and the gel to put around your face to help the dye wipe clean. The price has went up and now the quantity is going down. I'm 61 years oldI It definitely covers my gray perfect!!I went to get my haircut Wednesday FINALLY my hairdresser could not believe the color & highlights she was AMAZED I stopped my eSalon color & went to buying over the counter it was harder on my hair so to say the least I'm back FOREVER!!!! My sister { which is 5 years older} has always said she wouldn't dye her hair but she has always said my hair looks natural. So last week she was asking me about it. Dark AuburnI've been getting my hair colored at the salon for over 16 years. As I get older I'm getting more grays and was going to the salon to get my hair done every 10 weeks. Cost started adding up fast with my family that continues to grow. I needed to cut cost but still do something with my hair. So I figured I do it myself but wanted to still use good quality salon products. So I found eSalon and figured I would try it. I love it! Way more affordable. Love how my color turned out and is coving my grays and old highlights great. The packaging also so cute and I love that everything all right there for you in the box has your name on your dye and instructions. Very SatisfiedI am really loving my hair. Before, my hair had lots of warm colors red, golds.. and some greys.. I was ready for a change. I chose to go with Darkest Brown, and I'm glad I did. Now, my hair is very dark, and shiny. In the sun you can barely see some red highlights but it makes the color look natural. I love it. After coloring and using eSalon provided shampoo and conditioner, my hair was the softest it has ever been. I highly recommend! Also, they really do have someone contact you with any color questions to ensure accuracy before you purchase. I am going to try to post some before and after pics somewhere.
