colour is better than salon AND cruelty-freeI was actually looking for a cruelty-free option to cover my grey and found eSalon -- I was pretty sure the colour would be just ok -- turns out the colour is better than what my salon would give me. The salon colourist always said my hair was too grey for a medium brown and needed greater saturation/darker brown to cover the brassiness -- I took a chance and ordered a medium brown from eSalon and gave a note to the eSalon colourist that I was worried about brassiness: The colour I got was PERFECT. Great colourThe process was easy and the colour looked amazing - all in the comfort of my own home. Only disappointment was that it took 2 weeks to receive my colour after ordering (however, I live in Australia). Gray hairs …live onSo the gray at my temples. Slathering in color to point I don’t wipe excess away to get all the fine hairs. Still when I run e out the first thing I see is the glint of silver in the light. I think those fine hair are just resistant to coloring till a certain length…or the color gods are playing a joke on me. The rest of my hair looks gorgeous. Way too dark for my hairI was looking to cover my highlights and get an overall colour as close to my natural hair as possible. The result I got is unfortunately almost black and rather disappointing given that my colourist and I exchanged a few emails beforehand to make sure the chosen colour was right. Way too darkI went through the entire quiz process and uploaded several pictures of myself. The Demi permanent color I received was supposed to be light brown to match my natural color and cover my grays. I followed the instructions to the letter and I have experience coloring my own hair as I did it for years. While the gray is covered, my hair is now dark brown. I have washed it 5 times with chelating shampoo hoping to fade it faster.
