Scalp Broke OutThe color was ok, nothing spectacular or that I haven't achieved from other box colors but my scalp broke out in sores as a reaction to something in the color. Would not recommend to anyone worth any skin sensitivities, I haven't broke out this bad from color since I bought cheap dollar store color years ago. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. In rare cases, one can develop sensitivity to hair color over time. This is why eSalon recommends performing a skin allergy test 48 hours before each hair color application. Instructions for the skin allergy test are included in our Product Safety & Usage guide with every color order. Because of your reaction and dissatisfaction regarding your color, a representative has refunded you for your color. Again, we apologize that you were unhappy with your experience. |

I love the personal service!Using eSalon is BETTER than going to a salon to a colorist. eSalon has a long series of questions they ask about the condition of your hair, what color it is now, what color are you going for, how easy does your hair take color, how much grey do you have...just enough to know that they really care about getting it right. I sent a picture along with the survey and I was contacted by a colorist within 24 hours letting me know what they thought would work for me. I approved it before they sent the kit. Everything comes in a beautiful little box and the colorist even signs the instructions. I have colored my own hair before and the eSalon instructions were the easiest to follow, really tailored for me and my hair. I also looked up the eSalon videos on YouTube giving instructions. The videos gave me an extra boost of confidence. The coloring process went very smoothly. The little packets of shampoo and conditioner included in the kit were wonderful. I loved my hair color and texture, it turned out beautifully. The color is multi-dimensional and rich. I think it looks like I have highlights and lowlights, which would have been super expensive at a salon. I received an email a few weeks after coloring asking me how I liked my color and if I would like to tweak it a bit. I told them a couple of things I would like changed and my second kit is on it's way. I can't express how excited I am about this service. I care more about my hair than any salon will. I feel like I have so much more control and expression in how my hair looks. This is an awesome personal service at an amazing price! Great productThis product has been a godsend! They took feedback early on and corrected some timing issues so customers had the opportunity to change, tweak or ask questions of a colorist. My hair color is very difficult to match. It is a very deep auburn. While not perfect, these colorists have gotten closer to my natural color than salon colorists for a quarter of the price and they did so, sight unseen. The color does not have a harsh effect on my hair and lasts a good long time. Highly recommend! Most amazing (I-don't-know-why-you-haven't-tried-it-already)I have been coloring my hair for over 40 years now and I will say without an ounce of hesitation.....This stuff is the best ever! I used to color and then within a week or after a few washes the grey was back. UGH! I am over a month now with my Custom Hair Color and there is barely a hint of the grey. hair colourhaven't dyed my hair for years so was very dubious about doing it, send my age, current hair colour, a photo of myself as I was and they calculated what they though I would like, it was too dark for me so emailed them and got it readjusted, what I ended up with was great, but the following time I went a little darker, now have the ideal colour for me, it is just brilliant, would certainly recommend eSalon, don't hesitate to try them, you won't regret it 19 of 19 people found this review helpful. Best home color ever!Absolutely LOVE this stuff! Color gave me multi-dimensional color, was easy to apply AND covered my grey without fading! Plus it lasts so much longer! Natural-looking, professional qualityLove this hair color...great instructions and application kit enclosed for terrific results. Color-safe shampoo, conditioner, TWO pair of good stylists' gloves, color guard and remover (for skin) are all included in a small box. No more shocking carrot tops for meAfter many unhappy results with Box store color ( a ronald mcdonald orange hair color).....I found my dream. The color matches exactly to my roots so much so that people that I work with do not believe I color my hair. I love that when I want my color tweaked just a bit they can do it for me.
