Totally disapointed - horrible experience and resultThis was my second experience with eSalon products. I had great expectations the color would adhere to my hair and touch up the roots as promoted. Dissapointing experienceI am very sorry to write a bad review but the way my hair looks today after the coloring of the roots last evening is horible. First the mix to make the colour had a very strong chimical smell. I had to open the bathroom door to have some air in. Secondly, it took me more than 25 min to rinse. I felt in one of those pranks where you don't notice the person behind you who keep pouring you shampoo while you rinse. I let my hair dry naturally but this morning it was all greese to the roots and looks like half wet although is not. The texture is now heavier like it was not washed in weeks. In rare cases, one can develop sensitivity to hair color over time. This is why eSalon recommends performing an allergy test 48 hours before each hair color application. Instructions for the allergy test are included in our Product Safety & Usage guide with every hair color order. A great deal for the right person.The only complaint I have is that even with using their coloring tools (which were awesome!) the color came out darker at the tips than the roots. My hair still felt healthy after using their color and it was pretty accurate to the color I requested. It was kind of dark and not quite the right tone, but I'm going to chalk that up to the box dye I'd used on my hair previously, It's a great product for someone with previously undyed (or professionally dyed) hair and a lighter hair color who plans on going darker. Terrible colourI informed e-salon that my hair is medium brown and I ordered medium ash brown hair colour. When my product arrived it was light ash brown. I e-mailed them that they had sent me the wrong product and that I didn't want my hair to go lighter as it always goes orange. They asked mt to phone them. The girl that I spoke to, Danielle, said that because the product I had ordered had so much ash in it they'd sent me a light/medium brown. She said that the product couldn't make my hair any lighter because it doesn't contain bleach. She advised that I do a strand test first. I did a strand test first but I couldn't really tell so I decided to use the product. My hair came out lighter and orange just as I'd worried and I had to re-dye it immediately with my usual colour.
