DevastatedThe color was TOO dark. That's for starters. I left it on for less than 1/2 the time it stated to. I had intentionally allowed my hair to grow out anticipating doing this with your company after seeing the advertisements! My hair had roots appropriately 1" and 3/4 inches long. I had been letting my hair grow out from a short bob cut and it was past my shoulders at the point I colored it with your product. Not only was it so dark it turned a blackish color with plum tones but when I washed it I had so much hair fall out in the shower I panicked! It was like a chemo patient! I thought PERHAPS it was only because I had done something wrong myself.. I have done OTC products before however and NEVER had such a reaction. I thought if I waited and allowed myself to miss one shipment and didn't use any products in my hair, no heat to dry it, or style it, didn't get in a pool with chemicals.. that it would lighten and wouldn't do anymore damage. However hair continued to fall out at an alarming rate AND began to break off at the ends until it was ABOVE MY SHOULDERS and barely elbow my ears!! I finally had to suck it up and go into a salon where I was told YOUR product had damaged my hair beyond repair! I had to have my hair cut so short its now approximately three inches short all over! SHORTER than it was when I started growing it all out! And I've had to pay an exhorbant amount on keratin treatments to try and strengthen it. You can even see my scalp in places from loosing hair! Great color just not enough productGreat color just not enough product for even just the roots if you have really thick hair so doing to top and bottom roots and not so much middle. Mousy brown, instead of the strawberry blonde I wantedI have previously kept my hair a lovely shade of dark strawberry blonde/light auburn, using store bought color. I had to use a combo of dark blonde and bright auburn to do it, so I thought a custom formulation would be great, and more predictable. I sent multiple pictures of the color I had/ wanted to maintain, both in freshly dyed, and in 12 week 'faded' states, so my colorist could see exactly what I was looking for.... While the coloring product I received may be good quality, it costs quite a bit more than the store bought I was using, didn't seem to leave my hair in any better condition, despite the extra shampoo and conditioner it was recommended that I buy, and the color achieved is a disaster. I used the hair color in 2 steps, per the directions. Instead of the beautiful dark strawberry blonde/light auburn I had previously, my custom colors(s) came out a shiny , mousy dishwater brown. I actually wonder if I was sent the wrong color formulation, and asked customer service this question, as well as how to fix it. I'll update, if I get an answer, and am able to add an update. I have fine, easily damaged hair, and normally only re-color every 10 weeks or so, and this was going to be it. I'm pretty disappointed, and more than a little nauseated over this. I sent before and after pictures of the color I had/ wanted, and the color I have now, after using the product from this company, to customer service, and tried to attach them here, but can't find a way. HIDEOUS!Not impressed. Asked for dark blonde. Got RED! Ugh. Originally light blonde but you turned me red. Also autoplan. Really? Don't remember seeing that when I ordered. Not the right colour and terrible texture problemsAfter using the eSalon hair dye, I found it had a terrible waxy surface to my hair, it was actually scary while I was in the shower. It took 6 washes with clarifying shampoo to remove the wax texture. In addition, the colour was much darker than I had asked for and looked dull and matte. Didn't Work For MeMy hair is insanely dark and the hair dye didn't show up at all in my hair even after leaving it in for several hours. It left a huge mess but I could probably associate that with my lack of experience with dying my hair. The worst of it all is that my hair never dried after washing it. As I'm leaving this review I have damp weirdly textured hair and it's been over 12 hours since I took a shower after washing my hair. I would consider buying this again in another color and maybe leaving it in for longer but with the way my hair is feeling and smelling, I would not repurchase. 1 of 2 people found this review helpful.
