not as good as my 1st oneThis is my 3rd colour, 1st one great, 2nd one didn't cover my grey, this one was better than the 2nd but not as good as the 1st. I left the 3rd on much longer after my problems with the 2nd but my roots were still a bit lighter than the rest of my hair and perhaps the colour was a little too dark. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Love the color, hate the odorThe color turned out beautiful and my hair feels great. I would give it 5 stars for color and feel, But the odor while coloring your hair is almost unbearable. I had my window open and the fan on and I could hardly breathe. It was even worse when you get in the shower to rinse and close the shower curtain. It also stains your skin and the sink and shower. The cloth to clean up with did not take it off either. I guess that's why it covers your hair so well. Will wait to see how well the color stays on my hair before deciding if I'll buy it again. The ammonia hydroxide allows the hair follicles to absorb the dye, resulting in increased coverage and longer lasting color.While ammonia has a strong smell, eSalon and other experts believe it is a safer and more effective choice than the substitutes some other hair color companies use.In the future, we highly recommend applying the color in a well-ventilated room with windows and/or doors open for proper ventilation.We hope you have found this information helpful. Not sure what to think of service OR colorOK, 1st off this was extremely easy to apply. Thought this was a monthly service. Although, I DID leave a message for my colorist saying I haven't used the product yet. So maybe that's why I never was shipped another bottle, idk. I DO NOT understand why there's the option to "send" your colorist a message, but they DO NOT ever reply or make comment(s). I even left one saying that I did NOT like it.the color I received was quit dark. I do not see how this color I received is the color that was described. I have read this on several other reviews. Color was more a "dark dark brown w/dark red tint" (I do not consider it a dark blonde), AND it did not take well on the roots around my face. I can't decide if I want to continue with the service. On my first order I purchased everything, which can’t believe how small the shampoo & conditioner is or the color enhancing tx. With my long hair these small bottles don’t last 10wks. Maybe that is Esalon's goal, have to order more.extremely disappointed not hearing a single word back regarding any of the messages I sent my so-called colorist. Kind of wondering if there is actually a colorist for everyone or u just ship out colors/orders, mislead everyone. Oh, FYI for anyone who purchased the Color Enhancing Tx, WEAR GLOVES if u have acrylic nails. It did discolored mine. Think my hair color needs a lighter blonde with maybe a lighter red option, idk. It was just way too dark for me. I have fair skin.
