Color no where closeI had chosen a copper dark blonde color. It looked much lighter than the color I got. I wouldn’t even call my hair a dark blob after using this custom color. It’s very slightly lighter with such a small touch of red that it’s hard to see. Not what I was going for at all. Paying for a professional in a hair salon is a better option. Request to change my choiceHello, I received the package in the mail and was preparing to try this for the first time. I was ready to go but upon mixing the colors the smell of (amonia? bleach?) was so strong that I decided not to do it. I recognize that this is probably my fault for choosing a color with some blond, but I would like to choose a different color of that is possible, one that does not contain bleach or amonia, even if it means a darker shade. Not what I expectedI purchased hair color after filling out the survey. I had a few exchanges with a color specialist and sent additional photos. I did my color according to instructions. It is okay. But the color is much darker at the roots and more the red I wanted/started with at the ends. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. Hate it!Omg! I’ve used this in the past and loved it. I recently went back and asked for the blonde I loved in the past and sent several photos. I just colored my hair and it’s BROWN! Dog ugly BROWN. I hate Brown in my hair. Oh great by next week all the gray will return to make me feel worse. Not HappyThis product does not live up to the hype. I purchased several weeks ago but just tried it today. I generally buy a good drugstore brand and although always happy with the results, esalon promises longer lasting results so thought I would try it. Application was fine although a bit runnier than I am used to. After first rinse out my hair felt like glue. It took 3 shampoos to remove the goop and shampoo provided with kit was only enough for 1 wash. And my hair just touches my shoulders. The conditioner seemed ok but my hair was much knottier than usual when combing through the wet hair. Drying was eternal and parts of my hair just would not dry at all. Took about an hour of natural hair drying to clear up wet patches. My hair looked bushier than usual with slight frizz. I am used to soft and silky after tinting. The stain remover provided was useless and did not remove an iota of the product on my neck. It remains to be seen how much longer the esalon brand lasts better than the drugstore versions.
