Decline in serviceI previously used esalon years ago and and it worked great. I came back to use the service this year and it's horrible service and products . They can't change the colorist. They can not guarantee the hair color, they are not professionals. I have never heard so many excuses before. When this company advertise they have professional colorist but can't get my hair color correct and cover my limited grays. Box hair color works better than this. color is beautiful but does not last 7 weeks on graysThe color is amazing, shiny, and rich, however, my scalp looked like i had hair plugs for 3 days and my gray is already coming through. i did it last week on 2/22. I wont be purchasing again. 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Yucky gunk in hairThe dye left thick, sticky gunk in my hair (particularly the root areas). It took a long time to wash out. I even went and got Dawn dishsoap in case I couldn't get it out with other stuff. I tried the shampoo provided by eSalon and it started to get it out. I had to ration the shampoo and use it 3 times before the gunk was gone. It left my hair squeaky and coated until I washed it again. The color was great but I can get the same color (just doesn't last as long) with store bought and not the hassle of spending 20-30 minutes trying to get the crap out of my hair. allergic reaction to chemicalsI liked the color, but my scalp and hands had an allergic reaction to the chemicals, I think this happened when I rinsed my hair without gloves on to remove the remaining hair color. eeekkkk!Followed directions to a T but results were not good. Roots much lighter than rest of hair, orange/brassy tone in spots and color was much darker than I expected. Yuck!I really wanted to like this product-I love the idea of having a higher quality box dye and the ease of getting it shipped automatically. I used it for 2 months and sadly, I will not use it again. The first time I used it, it left a horrible disgusting gummy gunk on my hair and my scalp. I literally had to scrape with my nails on my scalp to get rid of it. Then, I couldn't get it all out of my hair. I contacted CS and they suggested I mix baking soda with my shampoo...ugh, no thanks-really don't want more work to do. They also sent me a bottle of dry shampoo. By the time it arrived, I had washed my hair enough times that I finally got the gunk out (about 4 washes). I decided to stick with it for another month. Just tried again on Saturday and very similar results. I tried to use the dry shampoo this morning (Monday) and it really didn't work (I prefer water and regular shampoo). On top of the gross gunk, I'm not all that impressed by the color and coverage. I see very very little (if any) difference from my old box-dye which is much cheaper.
